The best restaurants serving British food in West Oxfordshire South East

Lovely lunch although overpriced in my opinion. Landlord was lovely, village and pub absolutely delightful. Will return but probably just for drinks

Disappointing visit and disappointing food sad to say. There was a nice vibe from the chatty locals but the pie pastry was hard as hell, when I got through that, I made it to the chewy meat. No gin, other than flavoured gin and to top it off, no till roll so no itemised bill, strange! Would I return no!

Myself, partner and 4 month old baby stayed in the Shepards huts behind the pub for 3 nights. This experience was amazing, surprisingly spacious with lots of storage and very cosy with the log fire burning. Facility's are very clean. Hosts Deb and Toby were very friendly and more than helpful by going out of their way to see we had everything we needed. The pub it’s self has a very relaxing and inviting feel to it as well as being child and dog friendly. The bar staff member Abby was also friendly and welcoming which was nice. We ate breakfast and dinner in the pub which was very tasty. Steak was cooked to perfection. Would definitely stay again!! :)

The roast was distinctly average.. on the beef roast the beef slices were very thin and were overcooked. the gravy was very thin and the celeriac mash disappeared in the gravy it was all under seasoned. However the veg was cooked well and the Yorkshire was good but overall very disappointing for all in our party which was for a birthday treat. Also, the staff were very inattentive I had to call them over to take our dessert order after quite a while. They really need to work on their front of house duties as well, there was literally no interaction with us at all and it felt like they didn’t have any time for us but were happy to stand in a group and chat at the bar !!! We will return to the Pub again but not for Sunday lunch

Lovely fish and chips and very generous portions.

The food, especially the club sandwich is brilliant as is the service! I have a Gluten & Dairy allergy, I eat at the bistro semi regularly and they have always handled my food with great care.

Outstanding. I love Delice. It is a pleasure to visit and I can’t speak highly enough about it. Great atmosphere, staff, food, range of ingredients… you get a really personalised and genuine experience and is my go to place for food in Witney.

Stayed 1 night here, after booking and paying got an email saying that you had to pay £10 to use hotel car park. When it says parking available at hotel does not mention charge!! Would not of stayed there if we had known. Lovely staff ok accomodation. Restaurant was good and again very helpful staff. Would not stay here again though.

From the moment you drive into the carpark this hotel is just lovely. The court yard is stunning along with the entrance. The main hall to the bar and dinning room is stunning and has so much charter . We were meet by the hosts Andrew and Ann who were just awesome explained the history and showed us round . Great bar and lovely breakfast just wished we could have stayed longer. The rooms are lovely and the under floor heating is a great plus to the bathrooms. Lovely beds and feel comfortable.

This is a pleasant cafe offering good cream teas. While many of the cafes in Burford seem to close quite early, Honeycott's is open a bit later. Food and service were both good.

I love the Elm tree! We have been so lucky to have the elm tree at the heart of our local community. The staff that work there are always above and beyond wonderful, Sunday lunch is delicious and it is just an excellent place for a fun time out! We really are incredibly lucky!

First timer and the experience was five stars all the way. I had the meaty breakfast which was brilliant and fresh and loads to eat. My daughter had the avocado on toast with a beautiful poached egg. Again it was excellent. We loved the decor and vibe of the cafe too. Service was superb and it really is dog friendly too. You must visit.

Absolutely amazing fish and chips. Tasty. Crisp. Perfectly cooked fish. Friendly staff and great value for money. Best in the Witney area by a long way

A favourite of ours to revisit and just a short drive tomorrow some amazing market towns!
