Wholesome Earth Cafe in West Oxfordshire

First timer and the experience was five stars all the way. I had the meaty breakfast which was brilliant and fresh and loads to eat. My daughter had the avocado on toast with a beautiful poached egg. Again it was excellent. We loved the decor and vibe of the cafe too. Service was superb and it really is dog friendly too. You must visit.

Lovely cafe & shop with a community & quality food freshly made vibe. Delicious cakes on offer. I can as a solo cyclist and sat outside as it was not too cold. Staff attentive & helpful. Blankets & heater on offer if needed. Inside looked very cosy too. Great venue in the summer and welcomed cyclists

My first time here and had a full breakfast. Everything was very good quality and very tasty. Staff were very helpful and atmosphere was friendly and warm. Would definitely recommend.

The only place that serves good food, amazing hot chocolate, and then you can get your groceries in the same place. What’s not to like?

i normally feel very welcomed in this cafe but i felt very uncomfortable as i overheard someone on the management team (i assume) being hostile and passive aggressive with one of the other workers. I felt embarrassed for her. This is not acceptable in a working environment.

Had breakfast and my wife had the bacon roll the quality of the food was amazing it was very tasty the beans was very tasty the bacon and sausages was very good. The service from the staff was first class. They was very courteous and all looked happy. Would I recommend this place yes 100% thank you will definitely be having the breakfast again. And the coffee was good also

Always a warm welcome and great food. So nice to have a variety of veggie options to choose from. We are regular customers and can verify the standard of service is always high.

Went for a simple 3 coffees and 3 tea cakes - coffees no problem however tea cakes arrived long after we had finished coffee - announced by young girl behind counter that she had to go and get the tea cakes from freezer to anyone in ear shot. These were promptly put in the microwave to defrost ( another public communication on that ) and then into toaster for the bear minimum of time. Needless to say they were not nice ( two were cold in centre ) the other issue Is when you defrost bread at speed and then immediately try and toast it ends up like flat dough. No apology on time etc. can only say thank god didn’t go for the full English as probably would have got that at lunchtime and with an announcement that needed to go and slaughter a pig !

We love it here, it's perfect for what we need. - We like the menu and specials -Staff are lovely and remember our order and that I always drink a lot of water - Great options for vegans and vegitarians - welcomes dogs - We like the shop as well We wish they could stay open later, but think they have began to open on Sunday's which is brilliant.

It was a amazing meal. I enjoyed the pink Sausages a lot as they tasted nice. Also I liked the red eggs.

Small food menu but top quality lovelyness. Flavours and generosity. Had coronation chickpea toastie, made with really nice bread, and the same herb mingled green salad they sell in the shop that is one of my TOP buys from there, it's so different and makes a huge difference to any meal. Great, affable staff. Excellent place.

Popped in for a pot of tea and a chilled moment or two. Ended up having the most delicious hot chocolate with all the trimmings; squirty cream and marshmallows with chocolate powder sprinkled on top. It was a generously sized mug and almost overflowing. This was the best hot chocolate I've ever had, so much so that I asked the maker what brand they use and complimented him. The cakes all looked delicious, it was hard to choose just one. My drink was accompanied by a hefty wedge of delicious rocky road. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The setting is cosy and warm. I will definitely return (and have brunch / lunch next time) and have already recommended the cafe to others!

Came here as we were staying up the road at the Evenlode Hotel where they aren’t currently doing breakfasts. Great vegetarian breakfast and my first ever dirty chai latte - I am now a convert. Nice place with good service. I was a bit surprised to be asked to pay as soon as we ordered but reading other reviews it sounds like they must get a few walk outs.

I visited the Cafe and the shop which stock wonderful stuff. The staff in both the.stare and cafe could not have been more accommodating! I would recommend then highly. A delicious Shaksukah just as I wanted!

Very surprised at previous review, because my family (including the dog) and I felt very welcome and wonderfully taken care of, from the minute we entered and were greeted by the resident dog. We found the cafe to have a relaxing, healing feeling, embraced by kindness and all the lovely colours and shapes of the decoration, crockery, and crafts and cards for sale. Home-made cakes were tempting and tasty, teas were fresh, loo is spotless, indoor seating is cosy and outdoor seating looks inviting. Nut allergy was taken very seriously by the staff, who assured us that different tongs were used for all the cakes. The other half of the space is a fantastic whole foods shop with local produce, a real treasure cave. We came for tea, but will be back for the all-day breakfast! Have already told lots of friends what a great find this is.

Me and some friends visited the earth cafe the other day as we thought it would be a nice place for coffee and a cake. What we were not expecting was the cold looks we were given as we entered and a general annoyance at our presence, probably due to our age. While we were sat down I saw the staff huddled together whispering and giving us suspicious glances, as well as hearing them question whether or not they believed we would pay. As we left we cheerfully said thank you and got blank faces in return- a complete contrast to the smiles they’d given the couple who’d left before us. We were not sure what we had done wrong to anger them so much! Some of my friends could not enjoy themselves there as they felt too uncomfortable due to the frosty attitudes from the staff. Unfortunately, this has also happened to some of my other friends separately who also received an unfair service, having done nothing but turn up and purchase their products. It really is a pity as the hot drinks and food we had was great, it was just let down by a generally unwelcoming atmosphere.
