Visited with a friend for a bit of a business meeting/dinner followed by an overnight stay. It was everything we could have asked for and Hattie, who looked after us on arrival and through the afternoon and evening, was a superb host. Dinner (and breakfast) was great - good choice on the menu and very tasty. Rooms were smallish but perfectly fine, beds comfortable and my room had a spacious bathroom. Overall, a great place for a night out or an overnight stay.

Visited for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. Warm welcome from the (not sure owner or manager - and sorry I didn’t get your name) We sat in the lower side near the gorgeous log fire. The service was fab - very polite and attentive and not intrusive, not rushed at all. The food was excellent and the portions generous. Wine excellent too. Perfect autumn Sunday lunch - the Halloween decorations were fabulous too. Clive.

Very overpriced for average food. Limited vegetarian options. I ended up having Burrata salad which was basically a plate of green and red tomatoes with a couple of croutons mixed in and a blob of cheese stuck on top - cost, £20.

Excellent large Sunday lunch with lots of side dishes. We were impressed with yesterday’s meal, the pork was well cooked and had crackling, the beef was also good, nice roast potatoes, excellent Yorkshire pudding and great vegetable dishes. Wine by the glass was good too. Highly recommended for good food.

We visited this pub for our 15-year anniversary whilst staying in The Crown, which is a 5 minute walk away. Absolutely gorgeous food. All locally sourced, and they even had Jeremy's cider! It was quite expensive. However, it was worth it! The pub itself is charming and welcoming. Highly recommend visiting!

Located at the edge of the village, having a good sized car park. Indoor and outdoor seating is provided. The pub is located on a tight bend in the road, be a little careful exiting as the pavement is not that wide and blind to traffic from the right. It is clean, well decorated and presented, with plenty of seating available. It is dog friendly. The bar appears well stocked with a reasonable choice of beers, wines and spirits. The staff were friendly, well presented and attentive. We had no issues with the service. The menu is not extensive, having the usual pub fare. The food was very good indeed, hot, tasty, nicely cooked and well presented. The portions were large, so be prepared for a real plate full. Not bad value for money coming in at £89.00 for two people, including drinks, coffee and a service charge. We did not stay at The Wychwood so cannot speak to the accommodation. We would quite happily return.

We booked a table for the first night of our holiday in the village. First impression only fair as football showing on large screen but I suppose it was the Euros nevertheless I would hope the bar and restaurant would be separate. The real problem was the food. My wife's meal was OK but, having had a very large sandwich lunch I wanted something light so ordered a chicken Caesar salad. I was a bit surprised when it arrived as I would expect a light dish with crisp little gem lettuce, shredded chicken, a dressing and shavings of parmesan. The Wytchwood version was skin on chicken thigh served on a heap of soggy lettuce which seemed to have been parboiled and with a pile of cheese on top. Rather foolishly a tried to eat some of it but eventually gave up and complained to the waitress. In fairness I wasn't charged for the dish. I can't prove that this is what gave me a terrible bout of campylobacter food poisoning but you do get it from chicken and this was the only chicken I had eaten during the last few days. Shame to spend nine days of a two week holiday stuck in your cottage being ill but there we go. Be cautious of the chicken Caesar salad!

Had a pleasant overnight stay here recently and had a very nice room with a good sized ensuite. No noise from the road and a comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep. The 2 mini flapjacks were a nice touch too. We arrived mid afternoon and got parked easily however we could see some people later on struggling as the car park is quite small. The lovely garden was ultra busy with Mum's who had just picked up their off spring from school however we did find a quiet spot at the front + a sun trap. We both enjoyed our evening. Breakfast was taken in the bar and we appear to have missed out on quite a few options that were apparently in the dining room. Our only observation/critism is whilst the staff were busy they didn't interact much with their clientele unlike another establishment we stayed at since which was far bigger and busier. The village is very quiet and relaxing to walk around plus exceptionally clean and manicured.

We had a two night stay here. It was exceptional. The room was spotlessly clean, furnished to a very high standard, the four poster bed was comfortable, a very spacious en-suite with roll top bath and huge walk in shower. A good choice of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, with a choice of fresh milk from reception, and complimentary flapjacks were a lovely touch. The breakfast was freshly cooked high quality items, a good choice of cereals, juices, yogurt and fruit, with pastries cooked to order if desired. We had an evening meal one evening, where we had fish and chips, then fruit crumble, and profiteroles. All very nice. My only slight criticism were the profiteroles, which, whilst very nice, were £10, and you only get 3 of them, which I thought was rather mean for the price. We did have some traffic noise being at the front of the hotel, but this didn't bother us at all. The staff were very friendly. This was a great place to stay with our dog. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had such a lovely Sunday lunch here today. Warmly welcomed we were offered possibly the best table in the pub right next to the fire, which was warm and cosy. The veggie roast was easily the best we've ever had, I think we counted seven varieties of veg (including the yummiest cauliflower cheese!) and roast spuds too, all cooked beautifully and served with a whopping Yorkshire and lovely hot gravy. After an eight mile walk it was well and truly demolished. Great food, great service....thank you!

Beutiful decor. We stayed in room 4 which is the smallest room. Wonder what a big room is like, as was really nice with a big bathroom, and huge shower! Well stocked hospitality tray, and extremely comfortable beds! We ate dinner, in the front bar which is beutiful, and cosy. Lovely food, excellent service. Fantastic garden with outside bar that really needs to be seen!! Wonderful full English breakfast cooked to perfection! Lovely waitress, and a great selection of juice, cereals toast and fruit. We went to The Wichwood for a meal with a couple of other families and were all planning to eat pizzas from their dedicated pizza menu. Unfortunately we were informed that pizzas were not available today as they were short staffed and didn’t have enough chefs. We ordered from the regular evening menu which was very pricey for pub food, with examples such as caesar salad at over £24 including service charge! The total cost for our meal and drinks was almost £400 for three families. Considering none of us had starters, most didn’t have desserts, and most of the guests were only drinking soft drinks, this is a ridiculous price for pub food. The pub itself is nice and their beer garden area is well designed. The food is also pretty good but doesn’t compare to other restaurants in the area at this price point.

The landlord Dave was incredibly helpful and we were able to make use of the ample flat car park at the back of the pub for the night we needed. The facilities in the pub are first class and service was excellent - Dave went above and beyond to make our stay an absolute pleasure. Staff and locals were all friendly and welcoming to us. We were lucky it was ‘vinyls night’ so were treated to some great music while we were having drinks in the bar. Highly recommended, I’m sure we will be back soon

We loved it. Perfection location and the quintessential English pub. Outstanding food and service and the ambiance, decor is so wonderful. The highlight of our Cotswolds trip. Near to Jeremy Clarksons new pub as well so this little area is the perfect spot for a weekend spent in the pub. Well done Swan.

First timer and the experience was five stars all the way. I had the meaty breakfast which was brilliant and fresh and loads to eat. My daughter had the avocado on toast with a beautiful poached egg. Again it was excellent. We loved the decor and vibe of the cafe too. Service was superb and it really is dog friendly too. You must visit.
