Decent accommodation, shower a bit weird, it goes full power and then seems to lose the power, it works though, was hot enough. Clean room, bit run down on all honesty. Beautiful surroundings. I was in a room above the bar, so could hear everything. It was all quiet by 10pm, so not a problem. Bed was comfy, staff were all helpful and friendly. Breakfast was decent.

This is a cozy country pub / Inn with a small restaurant. Was very well received by very nice hostess. 👍👍👍 The room was simple, but perfectly fine and included TV and WIFI + own small bathroom Right after check-in, I had a traditional dinner: - appetizer: soup - main course: steak and leek pie - brownie with ice cream Everything tasted very good 😋😋😋 The next day there was breakfast (included) with slightly complicated service when I had to order what I wanted WITHOUT knowing what was available. 🤔🤔🤔 Again the food tasted very good 😋😋😋 Parking (free) takes place around the entrance with a limited number of spaces

Enjoyed a fantastic evening at The Bell. Played Toad in the Hole (very old pub game) with a couple of the locals and "Senior Barman", Simon. Then challenged the landlord to a few games of pool (he's decent). Rooms are really nice and the cooked breakfast was excellent, even though I was a little bit too worse for wear to enjoy it. All in all, The Bell is a really charming pub that's run by people that really care about it and the community. Will be back!

Sadly room for a lot of improvement here. Staff were nice and friendly though but my review is on the whole experience. No parking area very inconvenient for disabled and elderly people. No garden area or grass just tarmac with a few plants. Says pet friendly on the website, couldn't provide a bowl of water for the dog except for a leaking bucket. Food was tasty but when you ask for rare you do expect rare, grilling the halloumi cheese also needs a bit more practice to bring out the flavour. Service could be improved a bit, was sort of a one man show which got stretched a bit thinly between the guests at the restaurant. Hope this is taken as positive criticism as these are all things that can be improved on.

Lovely pub with lovely staff and good vibes all round. The rooms were nice enough and can't complain. Owner was helpful and was able to supply a packed lunch as I was working early and wouldn't be able to make it to breakfast which was amazing. I think the rooms would do well for a quick run around with a carpet cleaner. Unless it's the design of the carpet. I think a desk with the room to replace the dresser the kettle is on would be more useful to me.

As kitchen was closing had to chose from a reasonable selection fairly quickly. Both of us opted for steak and ale pie which although it was a Greene King pub was all home prepared and not the standard fare. Pie was very tasty with tender steak and nice chips. Decided to try the apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Both deemed delicious and quite different to what we expected. Two course meal plus a pint of lager was ~£25pp which was deemed reasonable.

We needed a place to stay near Oxford and The Bell fitted the bill nicely. We only stayed the one night but had both an evening meal and breakfast. Both meals and the room were all we could ask for. As an added attraction the night we were there, a Thursday, was Aunt Sally night - a local game where players use sticks to try and knock a 'thing' off its perch about 20 feet away. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Fantastic food, we arrived before they were serving dinner, but they very kindly checked with kitchen and were able to sort us our order over 50 minutes early. I had the steak pie, and it was out of this world, fresh cooked vegetables, definitely not from a tin. Awesome onion gravy and the pie slice was just yummy. Atmosphere is great, definitely the "locals" pub... But then they are generally the better ones in my opinion. Wheelchair accessible, though there is a very small step. Excellent value for the food and quality of it, and the general atmosphere. Lovely staff, lovely pub, lovely location... Perfect for me all round.

First time going having stopped for dinner on the way home from Witney. Typical village pub, appearing to be mostly locals. Met a lovely couple who were staying in one of the bedrooms and they said it was really nice. Food was tasty, would say what I had was a small portion for the price (vegan burger) and also the pudding. The fish and chips and children's meal was good. There was a young "waiter" who was serving us - and was really polite and friendly. But bear in mind to give him some slack if expecting a more professional service being he is training and not familiar with it. There's a lot to learn and he was very sweet. Lovely quaint, friendly place and would recommend.

When we were invited to the room, we found it very clean and comfortable. We sorted ourselves out then went for the evening, getting back due to a very heavy downpour. Not to worry, we thought, we can have a drink in the bar and we are glad we did, even though it was quiet for a midweek, the friendliness of the locals more than made up for it. Pub itself is very nice and comfy, however the experience we had wasn't great, we came here for a 21st birthday meal and preordered. Sent the order through in advance then had a call to be told they didn't have most of what we'd ordered. We then ordered deserts and the same thing happened, very frustrating but the staff themselves were lovely. The food itself was okay, I had a burger which came lukewarm and with a massive slice of cheese on it which wasn't melted and was just a bit too thick so it felt like you were just eating cheese! The shepherds pie was quite dry and bland, however the lamb shank and the steak and ale pie was delightful!

A fairly traditional pub in the Cotswolds. Beautiful village surroundings and a village duckpond to boot. Room was clean but basic, bed turned out to be pretty comfortable. Deviding walls are thin and the plumbing has some interesting quirks, the shower pump that cuts in and out every few seconds was fun and extremely noisy, as was the neighbouring rooms! Windows needed a clean, almost did it myself. Breakfast was good as was the service. Would I go back? If the plumbing gets sorted. Probably.

It was everything we could have asked for and Hattie, who looked after us on arrival and through the afternoon and evening, was a superb host. Dinner (and breakfast) was great - good choice on the menu and very tasty. Rooms were smallish but perfectly fine, beds comfortable and my room had a spacious bathroom. We called ahead to the pub as we needed a camper stopover close Brize Norton. The landlord Dave was incredibly helpful and we were able to make use of the ample flat car park at the back of the pub for the night we needed. The facilities in the pub are first class and service was excellent - Dave went above and beyond to make our stay an absolute pleasure. Staff and locals were all friendly and welcoming to us. We were lucky it was ‘vinyls night’ so were treated to some great music while we were having drinks in the bar. Highly recommended, I’m sure we will be back soon
