Friendly service but imsorry if you’re going to sell cheese and onion toasties please include the cheese. The food in Burford as a whole is of such poor quality, yet another place for a local not to visit again in because the foods so bad and very expensive. I don’t mind paying the price but at least make it worth it. We’re not all tourists who won’t visit again, think of the locals too. On top of that, just think of everyone, what do you want/expect when you purchase your food.

We stopped here for pasties and a smoothie. The cafe looked basic and unassuming but the food did not disappoint. I had a lamb and mint and my partner had a traditional beef pasty. They were piping hot and very tasty. The raspberry smoothie was excellent. The staff were polite and efficient. All very reasonably priced. No frills. Definitely would recommend!

If you want simple food ranging from pasties, bacon baps, toasties, sandwiches, salads, waffles, ice-cream etc to either eat in or take way, this is the place to come. The menu is exhaustive. Pleasant staff, quick service along with a 5* hygiene rating. We patronised this establishment every day during our 5-day visit to Burford. Couldn’t have done without it ! Highly recommended.

Super friendly staff, great snacks and milkshakes. Fabulous hot chocolate. Dog friendly, they always bring a plate of treats for the furry one.

Today we made a spur of the moment decision to visit Burford, and on arrival the first point of call was for brunch. We have previously visited a number of cafes in Burford and today we made a return visit to Honeycott's. We were not disappointed and we came away believing Honeycott's is the finest outlet in town, far outweighing others including a higher profile outlet in the High Street both in value and quality. We both chose latte coffees, as good as can be, bacon and brie paninis, which were filled with piping hot rashers and a generous portion of melted cheese. Having seen the large and tempting chocolate brownies, two of those too were added to our order. The brownies, quite simply the best ever, and the proprietors confirmed they are homemade. This is an establishment not to be missed. From the outside it is not immediately obvious what may be on offer inside. When visiting Burford just walk through the door, you will not be disappointed.

Stopped in Burford for a light lunch. I tried a large Cadbury’s chocolate milk shake with a mincemeat cake. Wife had a cappuccino with a Rocky Road cake. My shake was the largest I have ever had and was tasty, the whipped cream topping helped a lot, cake was excellent. My wife had no complaints either. Reasonably priced for a tourist hot spot. Well worth a visit. Friendly and helpful staff.

Me and my girls favourite milkshake/ice cream spot. They absolutely love coming here for a treat. It’s always so welcoming and reasonably priced. The workers are lovely too. Best place in Burford. 😊

We have been meaning to visit here for a while to try the milkshakes as we’ve been told they are amazing, and finally we were able to try it out. We found out they most definitely are! The wide selection on offer is fantastic on its own, plenty for anyone, but when they came they seriously are the best ever! Well worth a visit. We stayed for lunch too and that was very nice! We certainly will be back soon!

My partner and I had finished a long walk ending in Burford and were hunting for lunch. As a vegan it's usually not the easiest to find places to eat, but this lovely little cafe had loads of tasty vegan options! I really recommend the vegan pasty and the vegan chocolate ice cream! My partner had one of your milkshakes and said it was excellent. Thank you for a lovely treat and we can't wait to visit again!

We stopped in for a light lunch, but it ended up being a large one. Lots of meal choices, lots of homemade goods, fresh ice cream to name a few…….Not over priced either. We were greeted with warm and friendly attitude from ALL the staff there & nothing was a problem. We came away with a few baked goods too……well - they were too good to leave behind. 😘😘 Will definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

After reading the TA reviews we decided to have brunch at the cafe and were not disappointed. Lots of choice and very good value for money. Chose the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup - excellent, with tea and coffee to drink (again lots of choice) Very friendly staff and good quality produce. Recommend.

I have often driven and walked past here since living here but never been in until today. Me and my little girl popped in for a treat whilst out and about. Staff were friendly and what was even better was that I ordered a babycino for my daughter and when the lady brought it over she also brought a jug of cold milk to help cool it down. I’ve never ever had this before! Such good service, the cafe was warm too which is sometimes a factor that gets overlooked and a lovely little location where my little girl loved looking out the window at the cars. Very reasonably priced as well so it’s a win win for me!

Met a friend for a coffee in Burford and had my dog with us so was immediately attracted by the Dogs Welcome sign. Staff were really friendly. Had hot drinks and lunch. Very reasonably priced and very tasty. No frills, but great. Biscuits for the dog too. Would highly recommend.

We had a lunch time snack. The tea was ok I ordered a flat white & got a cappuccino and the sausage muffin was a piece of flat sausage similar to a McDonald’s breakfast. Must admit the cakes looked good. Would not go back.

A varied menu with something for everyone. The Werther's Original shake was something else. Also being from Cornwall I was delighted and surprised to find a proper pasty on sale having been transported up from Cornwall.

I only popped in for an ice cream and I was really impressed with the service. They had a large variety of cakes, scones and treats, which were really good value. The ice cream (honey and ginger) was delicious too. Definitely recommend.

We visited this cafe on a wet Saturday lunchtime in a party of 12 and were welcomed into the back room which we had to ourselves. The service was brilliant - all our queries were answered, including suitability of cheeses for vegetarians. Lovely food, great...

Whilst on a visit to the Cotswolds we took a round-trip walk of just under 6 miles from our B&B at Asthall, and then around Burford before walking back to Asthall. It was a warm day and Burford was busy with tourists, so we stopped...

Stopped off here at random for a drink and something to eat at lunchtime on a day’s visit to Burford. We sat outside and enjoyed watching the world go by up and down the high street. We ordered soft drinks, and decided on the Cornish...

Scones here are massive and great price. Tea is good and they do decaff tea. Lovely place and great heart attack inducing milkshakes like mint areo etc. Love this place and recommend it. Lovely friendly staff.

Visited Honeycotts on a Sunday afternoon with the family. Walked in easily got a table, the menu was simple and good no confusing item after item after item. Went over to the counter and ordered the Cornish Pasty with Chicken, Cheese & Ham Toasties, Scone...

Was a nice place to stay, Milly was very helpful in deciding my beverage. She knows her stuff. Very clean

This cafe serves good quality food and is well priced. We had a lovely pot of tea and great shakes. Made to feel very welcome by the owner and staff. Lovely to be at a nice cafe post lockdown. Good luck for the future.

We are here with our family and I have to say I’m not always a fan of cafes but this one was very good. Prices were very fair, if not cheap for the quality of the food. The food was very high quality for high street cafe food. The menu for the shakes was not only fun but delicious. Well worth a visit if passing through or visiting the high street.

Stopped off on a whim Burford and decided to try this restaurant and how pleased I am, their cream teas are incredibly good value particularly when you see the size of the beautiful home made scones.They are served "warm" which is a pleasant change with jam and clotted cream, the service is good and the staff extremely pleasant.Overall a very enjoyable experience, one that I will repeat and next time maybe try something else on the menu,

Decided to make a quick stop and this place looked perfect. Absolutely delicious cream tea. The scone was massive and scrumptious. Very well priced. Can’t wait to return.

We popped in here for lunch. It has a very comprehensive menu. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. We had sandwiches and salad which were very nice indeed.Service was speedy and the prices were competitive.We would definitely return again when back in Burford. Highly recommended!

We had an overnight stay in Burford and the Travelodge did not serve breakfast. We ventured out and found this cafe. The menu is the usual fare but what value for money and served quickly. The breakfast we both had set us up for the day.

I am currently sitting having a cup of tea here. And the staff/ manager with tattoos is rude. Not prepared to let us finish our tea. Happy to take the money when we ordered. But not prepared to let us finish our tea ☕ in peace. Crazy service

A few times i have been to the shake shack, and everytime i have always been greeted by cheerful staff. Ive eaten a range of food from samdwhiches, breakfast and cakes to tea, ice cream and milkshakes. Along with good prices and cosey a cosey place to relax, I have never been disappointed.

I have never had such rude/bad service in a place. Don’t go here if you have allergies they have no idea and don’t want to know/care.

Encantador y relajante salón de té / cafetería / cafetería que sirve pasteles caseros, sándwiches, tartas, toasties, etc., de forma adecuada. No hay herederos ni gracias. This place is unpretentious and offers a really wide choice of delicious smoothies. We also had scones which were quite nice. Staff are really friendly and we sat in the sun on the small terrace on the busy high street, quite a good spot for watching the world go by.

Popped in for a late lunch had two hot drinks and said we would share a sandwich. There was no problem with us doing this and they even separated the sandwich onto two plates with the chips we requested. Could not have been friendlier or more accommodating.

Having two dogs we wanted a dog friendly place for brunch, and we were welcomed with open arms by Honeycotts. Both the two lovely ladies staff fussed over our two dogs and we felt very much at ease.

We visited on a Sunday so maybe not the most busy day of the week but we were kindly greeted, shown somewhere to sit and had plenty of hot water refil for our tea. The staff were friendly and efficient. Would happily return when next in the area.

Stopped here for coffee and cake these were just average. One of us had vegetable soup and a baguette which was good we also bought an award winning pasty to take away which was excellent.

La razón por la que solo le di 3 estrellas a la comida es porque mi pedazo de pastel estaba bastante seco y el café, aunque estaba bien, no era nada especial. Sin embargo, todavía siento que este establecimiento vale 5 estrellas en general, ya que aparte de la amabilidad y el buen servicio, es muy limpio. Además, vi la comida que comían otros clientes y se veía muy bien. No es una cuchara muy grasosa, pero sí una buena comida honesta a precios razonables. Sin duda volvería de nuevo y probar una comida adecuada.

Pop in regularly for my takeaway lunch and they do make great sandwiches. Stuffed full of lovely fresh ingredients. Best in Burford by far. Thanks and see you soon

With all the very pricy beautiful hostelries in Burford, we discovered this little gem. Fab food, mostly homemade, alcohol if required, warm and friendly atmosphere and very reasonable prices for the delicious food served

We go to Burford quite regularly but for some reason hadn’t noticed Honeycott’s before, although it’s just by the only crossing on the High Street. We had coffee, read the menu and stayed for lunch - and if I could have had a bit of everything I would have . Cornish pasties from Cornwall and cooked on the premises looked really good - they get their sandwich bread from local bakers and the egg mayo sandwich one of our group had looked AMAZING! I opted for a toasted Brie, bacon and cranberry baguette which was easily the best I have ever had. Lots of freshly cooked lean bacon, thickly sliced French brie, not too much cranberry and french dressing on the salad ... seriously tasty from start to finish. There are some quaint and pretty tea shops in Burford but if you like a business that takes the trouble to source good quality ingredients then prepares and serves them with real attention to their customers’ satisfaction - look no further!

We called in for lunch and the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Our food and drinks arrived quickly and were lovely. I had a jacket potato with beans and cheese which was delicious. The potato was properly oven cooked and was huge! Great value as well.

Me and a friend visiting the area were craving a cream tea. We stopped by the traffic lights to cross the road and I said 'how about here' and boy did we make the right choice.

Extremely disappointed in an older staff member. I visited Burford with my girlfriend over the bank holiday weekend. On ordering a pasty, I was asked if I would like this hot or cold, I said cold as I didn't want hot food on such a hot day. My girlfriend had ice cream so we sat outside on the chairs and tables provided - 5 minutes later an elderly miserable staff member stuck her head out the door and mumbled, 'you can't sit there, that pasty is take away' - before quickly shuffling back inside the shop. Not only is this uncalled for, but also extremely rude. There are better ways of telling people that they'd need to pay extra if they wish to sit outside the shop, rather than sticking your head out and very miserably mumbling. There were other people outside the shop so this was rather embarrassing, but I think even the other people looked quite surprised at the severe lack of politeness from this staff member. Needless to say, we left quickly and I certainly won't be returning.

We had been out at the local Cotswold Saffari Park on hotest day of year so far. -hot and hungry.

When visiting Burford we fancied a coffee,a quick bite & a sit down with free WiFi.We found it all here in cosy comfortable surroundings.Had the teacake & coffee deal which was delicious.Lots of different hot & cold snacks & drinks on offer as well as a good variety of milkshakes & ice-creams.Pleasant staff & efficient service.

My friend and I were visiting Burford on an 'Instagram' trip, we decided to pop into Shake and Snack as we were super hungry. We were greeted by a friendly waitress who helped us with the door as we had a baby and a pram. Service was excellent, the young waitress was really friendly and smiley with my friend's baby. Food was lovely too but a little basic. We asked for the bill and left the money on the table, as per what I always do with a cafe. However, when we got up to leave and the friendly waitress said goodbye, we spent some time opening the doors and taking the pram out, we then proceeded to thank the other waitress who brought us our bill. Just as I turned to leave she shouted infront of everyone in the cafe 'You haven't paid your bill!'. We had paid our bill, we left the money (and tip) on the table, quite surprised she thought we had the audacity to walk out without paying whilst saying goodbye and thanking her. If she really thought we hadn't paid our bill she could have checked in the time it took us to get the pram through the door and asked us quietly instead of shouting at us across the restaurant making us look like cheap skates who don't pay for our meal.

The sausage, bacon and egg sandwich (on granary bread) is the best I’ve ever had. Excellent bacon, wonderful meaty sausage and the bread was so fresh I reckon it was straight out of the oven. Clean bright surroundings. All round excellent.

Baguette was not what i expected, i would say this place is like a truck stop style Milkbar, wont be returning.

This is a lovely cafe. Friendly staff, great service, and dog friendly too. My sister and I, along with my dog flint, called in here for lunch. We had the most delicious cream tea, great value for money. We enjoyed it so much that we returned later for tea and cake ( oops, bang goes the diets, but definitely worth it!!). They even offered a lovely treat for flint, which he gobbled up, so I think I can safely say that was delicious too. They do a good range of shakes and snacks, well worth a visit.

Popped in here for a quick lunch on a visit to Burford and glad we did. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Large range of made to order sandwiches available in baguettes or bread and served with salad or crisps. Fast service, large portions, great taste and reasonable price. Well worth a visit.

Quick stop on route to London. Nice coffee and easy going service. If we had been in the mood for an ice cream or shake we would have been well spoilt for choice.

Encontramos una mesa fuera de repuesto, ordenados nuestra comida y este comenzó el fin de semana en Burford bien. El servicio y los precios también eran excelentes.

El oreo banana licuados y batidos son deliciosos. La buena, también tienen batidos paninis y sandwiches para un bocado rápido para comer en la ciudad.

Burford is a very busy place in the middle of the Cotswolds. It's very pretty and there are quite a few tea shops and pubs. Shake and Snack is really nice and not too expensive. The staff are super friendly and they give you exactly what you want. It's sandwiches, paninis, breakfasts or jacket potatoes. They make it all to order and you can have things on any bread, toasted or not. And the milkshakes and smoothy menu is great, you can have any milkshake, with added biscuits or sweets: so you can have jaffa cake, oreo etc... with a massive selection. Same with the smoothies. Village cafes can be very hit or miss but this is a really good one.

We had a break and stopped in Burford to go once again to shakes & snacks. The shakes tasted amazing. We had shakes and coffee. Worth going and trying the shakes.

Very welcoming and friendly staff lots of shakes to choose from my favourite has to be double decker and the food Is great aswell lots to choose from on the menu and the takeaway menu I've never had a problem here and very convinient as only work up the road thanks

Located towards the bottom of the High Street it's a good place to drop in for a snack/light lunch and coffee. Large selection of baguettes and paninis with various fillings, homemade soup and jacket potatoes. Small cafe but very friendly. Worth a visit with food at a reasonable price.

Popped here as we were passing through and decided to stop, looks small from the outside but go inside and the choice of food you can have is immence baguettes, paninnis, sandwiches, soup, jacket potatos, ice creams, toasted tea cakes, shakes and plenty more! We sat outside as one the weather was nice and two we had the dogs, lovely lady brought out some sausages for the dogs when our food was brought out which was a lovely touch. Food really tasty and great value, staff lovely and very friendly. Will definatly be back if we ever pass through again.

We needed sandwiches as we were travelling to Norfolk. We were able to order in advance and picked them up quite early. One of the sandwiches, ham and salad, had far too much salad. The salad was quite wet and made the bread soggy. The cheese and onion sandwich was fine.

Great jacket potatoes. Ultimate hot chocolate rocked hard! And the shakes are wacky and so thick! Brilliant!

Visited this little cafe on a day out. Seating was a bit difficult on little benches, but we were able to move. One jacket potato had a nice filling, one was a little disappointing. Staff are friendly and prices are excellent though. Only other issue is the smoothie or shake maker which made such a racket a few times that you couldn't hear yourself think. A shame, as otherwise a nice spot

We popped in here for lunch. The staff are all lovely. Seemed that all the locals were popping in for ice creams! The milkshakes were the best we've ever had (Oreo milkshake and peanut higher milkshake). It was clear that they had used a lot of Oreos and peanut butter which is of course great. The baguettes were all good and lovely, what you'd expect from a baguette really! We would return. Thumbs up!

If you look up the definition of "savoury" it should say "like a hot sausage roll from Shake & Snack, Burford, England."I wanted a portable snack to have on a day trip to several towns in the Cotswolds and a hot sausage roll from Shake & Snack fit the bill. I'm a big fan of meat in pastry/pies and I thought this roll would taste like all the others. Boy was I wrong. Suffice it to say, it's become a gold standard to all the other sausage rolls I'll eat.Shake & Snack and Burford will be on the top of my list for a future extended visit to the Cotswolds.

We've been here as a family twice now, and will definitely be returning. Doorstop sandwiches, hot sausage rolls, lovely individual pizzas, ther food is really good value and a great range too. The milkshakes, however are worth a special trip. Whippy ice-cream and almost any flavour you can think of...we've had Parma violets, bubblegum millions, twix, peanut butter, kitkat chunky...all of them have been delicious and really generous portion too. A little gem in a great village....

We have just moved to Burford and were in need of a lunch we could take back to the house. The selection of sandwiches is very good and the people serving very helpful and friendly. We have been twice now and can recommend them for sandwiches and drinks.

We popped in on a hot Saturday afternoon as my son wanted a shake and I wanted a smoothie. The prices are reasonable but the quality is poor . The shake was more like whishy washy milk with chocolate mixed in , not thick and indulgent like you would expect . My smoothie I was really looking forward to until I watched the girl making it , the packet of frozen mango and pineapple out the freezer which tasted Nasty!!! Was expecting a nice fresh smoothie, also perhaps need to measure out the juice added as it was a guessing game which made it taste sour and undrinkable !

This is an ideal place for lunch on a budget or a quick bite to grab and go. Service was efficient, prices were very reasonable and the pies were tasty. Not fine dining, but certainly fine. Locals are a good sign of consistency and there were many. Good quality,"fast food".

We popped in for drink and snack, after a local walk, lovely warm welcome, staff really pleasant, we opted for homemade soup & Cornish pasty, the soup was lovely, pasty was hot having been cooked rather than microwaved, we had a discussion re ingredients and the savoury of the ingredients, when we came to leave the Owner gave us a different pasty to try, what a lovely service and lovely touchWe will return and recommend it this place is lovely and comes with a warm personal service.

Every time I pass through Burford, I stop here for a soup (with free baguette/roll) or a delicious wrap. They are quick, friendly and inexpensive. The food is great quality - perfect for a lunch on the move/quick bite.

Lots of flavour milkshakes to choose from, every chocolate bar going, even ones I'd forgot existed as well as foam bananas etc! Would love to have tried a bit of each one! Went with Kinder Bueno. My friend had a strawberry one which was made with real strawberries and you can certainly tell the difference. There is a small, basic seating area. Didn't try any of the food.

We paid our first ever visit to the gorgeous Cotswold town of Burford last weekend. I love a 'proper' milk shake and spotted Shake and Snack on the high street, so just had to head on in.They have a good range of flavours, and I went for my all-time fave, a Snickers shake. The service was very quick and friendly, and the shake was lovely, made up with ice cream, as the best shakes always are.Highly recommended, and I would definitely call in again in future.

Think of this as a slightly upscale diner. Reasonably priced, by English standards. We had delicious fresh made to order baguette sandwiches here - I took a bite out of the lovely fresh bacon, before I remembered to take my photo! - and were lucky enough to nab an inside seat. Small interior with limited seating, which is a pity, since the main street just outside is a touristy zoo.

If you want to bite something tasty with quick service this is the place.Very tasty shakes and the food is also tasty with reasonable price

We found the staff to be lovely and the choice of shakes amazing. Try the fat free yogurt option for a low fat treat. There is also outside seating, the street is busy but plenty to see.

My husband and I stopped off in Burford on the way to our holiday, we stopped and had a milkshake at Shake & Snake, my husband had a Turkish delight one and I had a double decker one, they were great and sooooo yummy. There were lots and lots of flavours to choose from.
