Excellent cosy pub with a great landlord Patrick and staff. very friendly atmosphere made by all. Superb live music both of which Acoustic and Bands. something for everyone both young and not so young!! I can’t believe this gem was hiding In Plain Sight. Four of us went for Sunday lunch. The food was fantastic a very friendly atmosphere did I mention the food. A brilliant Sunday lunch and it’s excellent value for money. We’re definitely going back SOON

A fabulous Sunday lunch at the Elm Tree with a friend. Nothing was too much trouble for this friendly team of staff. We prebooked as we know this venue is popular and arrived at our reserved table to find a table decoration which showed attention to detail. The roast lunch was second to none. There were two choices of meats and choices about whether meat was served well done or rare. The potatoes were crispy and there was a range of fresh vegetables. We followed this course with a scrumptious eton mess, made with tasty meringue and lemon. Can thoroughly recommend! Whats not to like? We wiill be back!

Good pint of Doom Bar. Shady garden. Played old pop hits on the garden speaker system. My brother & i (sadly maybe!) knew most of them. Off the beaten track but clean & tidy place full of locals.

Made to feel about as welcome as a snowstorm in June. Give it a wide berth if you are hoping for any kind of inclusivity. Obviously very right wing pub. Expensive compared to Oxford.

The Elm tree is very deceiving as it looks small from the outside but its quite a big pub once your in, The bar area is very nice & the whole place was very clean & it also has outside seating at the rear which is also heated for cold nights.

This is a typical local pub on the edge of town which serves good beer with a pleasant smile. There is a function room and a small beer garden at the back. Footpaths lead to and from the town centre.

Came in one rainy evening after a hard days hike. Was greeted by a lovely chap behind the bar. I believe he was called Tom. He was very personable and knowledgeable and reccomended a beer to try which was fantastic. Will defiantly come back if I'm ever in the area again

Visited on Easter Sunday and messaged ahead, fab communication and helpfully reserved a table for us in garden as we had 2 dogs. Great Sunday lunch and value for money, staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming, would highly recommend.

What an amazing place!! The food was really good, very reasonably priced, very tasty and served on time.The staff both at the bar, serving the food, and management were excellent. All very efficient, polite, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them.16 people had meals, then 24 people total for games. Simply, a brilliant night all round. I would highly recommend the Elmtree Pub, and will certainly be returning.Thank You to all for a brilliant evening.

The Elm Tree is a great pub with a lovely atmosphere. The service is good and menu varied to suit all tastes. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we’ll definitely be going back.

A friendly welcome and a simple Sunday menu. The staff were great and the food was very tasty. My partner had the veggie option which I tried. As a pure carnivore I would happily have eaten it all! Oh and those puddings! That's a great Sunday menu, simple food served well. Thank you, as I said when I left I will be returning!

I have been here several times before. The ambiance gives off an earthy feel-good vibe, but the food was a little bland this time. Service was fine and my experience was just ok. Might be coming back, or not.

My favourite pub in Witney. From the bacon Frazzles to the pickled eggs, to the Carling...it's just perfect. With a nice pool table and garden bar, this neighbourhood pub is the authentic English pub experience.

I live just down the road from the Elm Tree and have been going here regularly for around 4 years now. It is by far my favourite pub in Witney (and not just because it's closest to my house) - the drinks are reasonably priced and their food is to die for, especially the Sunday roasts! They have a lovely large and well decorated garden out the back - dogs are welcome in the pub too which is always a bonus if like me, you love them. On sunny days there's always a jug of Pimm's at the ready and for days when it's not so warm, they have heaters outside if you would prefer not to sit inside. In my opinion, the Elm Tree is an all around great pub and I will be coming here for many years to come.

Great beer garden behind. Good selection of beers and very friendly staff. Dog friendly which is also a bonus.

Normalmente vienen aquí para tomar unas copas con los amigos. En esta ocasión decidimos comer. Cuatro de nosotros pedimos lo mismo y no era de lo mejor - un elemento de producción local no estaba a la altura. El director inmediatamente se disculpó, discutió con nosotros, probado él mismo y nos dieron un reembolso - no fue, no bien sazonada. Gran respuesta y la comida era de buena calidad.

Un pub local agradable aquí, amable personal experto de detrás de la barra y gente amable. Este establecimiento está muy limpio de detrás de la barra, así como las áreas de atención al cliente. Una gran variedad de cervezas y cervezas de barril en oferta, así como menaje para preparar té y café. La comida está muy bien presentada y caliente, esto incluye el excelente Domingo almuerzos con platos de verduras de lado separados, etc. Así como una bebida junto a la chimenea también se puede jugar a los dardos o billar si queríamos. Tengo la fortuna de vivir a 9 puertas de distancia de esta pequeña joya. Genial pequeño pub. Servicio de atención al cliente es excepcional. La cerveza y la comida son impresionantes. El entretenimiento es siempre 1, Clase street. El ambiente es excelente. Viajar al otro lado de la ciudad para que sea mi lugar beber local y regular. Altamente recomendado.

We ate here for Sunday lunch I got the lamb and Michelle got the beef both were delicious and plentiful and nillson and his wife are fabulous hosts all in all fantastic quality for excellent value for money👍

Somos nuevos en Witney y queríamos un lugar para ver el Grand Prix y tener el almuerzo de domingo y nos recomendaron el árbol de Olmos. El personal era muy amigable que ofrece para poner otro. El asado era absolutamente delicioso. Yo tenía mi esposo tenía carne de cordero y venía con patatas asadas, patatas con puerros, coliflor, col, zanahorias queso asado, y brécol Patacas Chirivías!!!!!! Todo por 8 absoluta ganga. Yo tenía un vaso grande de vino tinto mi esposo tenía una cerveza. Todo por 25 libras!!! Una gran relación calidad-precio. Sin duda volveré

Parado por un asado de domingo con mi esposa. Recibimos una bienvenida y un servicio estupendo. Ambos tuvimos la carne, la comida estaba muy buena y excelente relación calidad-precio. Sin duda vamos a volver.

We just had a really good Sunday Roast for £8 (choice of Beef, Pork or Lamb). The roast came with all the trimmings (we both had the beef) and the yummo puddings were an extra £4 (I indulged in the Summer Berry Pudding with cream )

This is the friendliest pub I have ever been too. Great drinks, great music, lovely people. Will definitely visit again when in the Oxford area!

Finally a real pub! serves food sometime but not yet tried it. It's a great spot to go and enjoy some live music or other entertainment. Friendly staff and relaced atmosphere

I have visited the Elm tree several times for drinks and find it really friendly with a good selection of beers. Most recently I have enjoyed two meals. The first with a birthday group where 15 or so were catered for really well and all commented on the quality and reasonable price of the food. Then on Sunday for a roast. (I was actually driving somewhere else but stopped when I saw the sign out front and I'm so glad I did). Food was great. Beef and lamb came with usual trimmings and added surprise of cauliflower cheese. All very reasonably priced 7 pounds for adults and a good size childs portion for just four quid.We will be back and next time I will walk

An absolute all rounder of a pub! Reasonably priced drinks and friendly atmosphere as well as a buzzing music scene. Not forgetting the most delicious roasts in town on a Sunday. Loving the elm tree at the moment and excited to see it blossoming and grow... A real pub without the extortionate prices but friendly vibe and excellent service.

Fast becoming our regular pub. Particularly good on a Friday evening. The service from all of the bar staff are friendly, helpful and you rarely have to wait to be served - they seem genuinely pleased to see you. Beer always well kept. There's an interesting mix of people, many of whom will have a chat with you. Dog friendly.

This is a little Jewel of Witney,, after trying a fair few bars mid week,, this is the most welcoming, lively and totally friendly pub that includes staff and customers. Rich the barman is like a fluffy Ed Sheeran..

Enjoyed a few drinks at the elm tree yesterday early evening. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. They had the football on the television screens but it was quiet enough for those of us not interested to still enjoy our drinks peacefully. The garden was nicely presented and with the weather as an added bonus you could easily feel as though you were on holiday abroad. So overall, lovely service and a lovely atmosphere. Thank you.
