We were looking for a reasonably price place to have lunch and found The wishing well on Tripadvisor. We loved the informal garden and it was dog friendly. But the menu offered door step sandwiches which were fantastic served with nice fresh salad leaves. Then we finished with a slice of homemade cake which was fantastic. Definitively returning to this little gem of a tea room.

This isn't the most inviting looking cafe, however there's a certain charm about the mismatched placemats Friendly staff member and the full english for £7.95 is acceptable for the price - not butcher quality bacon and sausage but it isn't that kind of place. There is a pretty extensive menu with lunch items and full meals. Lots of friendly regulars and they accommodate changes to the meals happily. Cash only.

First time visit and had full English, was impressed with the quality and quantity. Okay not the cheapest but a really nice breakfast. When we arrived only three people in by the time we left the place was rammed. Great staff and service.

Do not eat here! It was shockingly overpriced. A frozen pizza for nearly £18. When asked if it was crush we were first told ‘yes’ then ‘the base is not the toppings are’ finally, ‘it was ordered in’. When I complained we were then ignored as a table whilst the waiter fawned over another couple obviously ignoring our attempts to get his attention. He was sarcastic when finally I called for him and sent over a young extremely pleasant and delightful younger female waitress. I asked the. To remove the pizza from the bill which they did but again left the young waitress to deal with the entire situation. Bad meals happen. The way you deal with it shows the kind of establishment you are. I strongly advise you not to waste your time or money. We are here as the menu was more accessible than the restaurant for the children we had with us. We made the wrong decision.

Popped in for a coffee whilst in the area for business. Charming little place. I simply wanted to mention this place as the flat white I had was a great, great cup of coffee. If only other coffee shops could provide similar quality.

Took my three daughters for a Sunday roast, lovely pub, staff were very friendly and courteous. But the roast was awful, I'm so sorry to say, dry bland turkey, soggy roast potatoes, one raw parsnip and frozen veg. The plate was sparse for £17 and definitely not worth it and we left deflated and disappointed! I've had weekday lunch here and it's been fine, just don't order a roast!!

Sadly I can not put a positive review on this pub. Having advertised that they do food from 6pm to 9pm, when asked for menus at 7:30pm, was told that the kitchen was now closed for the evening. Had to ask for three different drinks before they had something I asked for. A very disappointing experience, especially admInhad recommended the pub to visiting friends

Friendly pub with good food served by visiting catering vans in the car park.
