To our family, the brasserie was the highlight of our visit to Ashdown Park hotel. It was comfortable, family friendly, and a convenient and relaxing place to spend lunch or an early dinner with our young son after swimming in the afternoon. The staff Dominikia and Ana were super friendly and helpful, they made us feel special and are a credit to the hotel. There's a good choice of food (chef was excellent too) and it's good value for money. We were there every day for a week and hope to return!

We still prefer the main restaurant in this wonderful hotel, but when this is closed, the Forest Brasserie is a good alternative. The food is well cooked, varied menu and the staff, as all are in this hotel, efficient, professional and attentive. Unfortunately it does lack atmosphere and whenever we have eaten here, there are not many people in the restaurant.

First rate establishment! From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly by Dominica and throughout our lunch experience we were thoroughly looked after. The food was exceptionally tasty and very well presented and you could tell the chef takes great pleasure, pride and satisfaction in what he creates. We had the steak and both were cooked to our exacting standards and the food was piping hot. All in all I would highly recommend this eatery for service with a smile and food that is pure perfection. Thanks to the team and we will return.

Do not eat here! It was shockingly overpriced. A frozen pizza for nearly £18. When asked if it was crush we were first told ‘yes’ then ‘the base is not the toppings are’ finally, ‘it was ordered in’. When I complained we were then ignored as a table whilst the waiter fawned over another couple obviously ignoring our attempts to get his attention. He was sarcastic when finally I called for him and sent over a young extremely pleasant and delightful younger female waitress. I asked the. To remove the pizza from the bill which they did but again left the young waitress to deal with the entire situation. Bad meals happen. The way you deal with it shows the kind of establishment you are. I strongly advise you not to waste your time or money. We are here as the menu was more accessible than the restaurant for the children we had with us. We made the wrong decision.

Excellent food served by friendly and attentive staff in a cosy setting. We had mezze and focaccia followed by chicken skewers and duck confit. Dessert also delicious.

Relaxed, friendly atmosphere with great service. The food is of high quality and the menu is varied. Try a side of sweet potatoes, they’re delicious! Lovely salads (mixed forest with goat’s cheese and avocado was particularly nice) and burgers.

Stumbled across this lovely little pub one lunchtime, had a great meal and enjoyed the atmosphere. Returned yesterday after work with more folk - it didn't fail me. Friendly and attentive Guv'nor serving great value delicious food and brilliant prices.... GF fish & chips too. Bright and sunny outdoor seating, family friendly and dogs welcome. Just what a pub should be. Highly recommended.

Family stayed here before our wedding. We contacted via phone and despite our big group, they were very accommodating. We had drinks' dinner and then stayed the night. The owners who I believe have recently taken over were very nice. There were a few small issues with the launch of the new food menu but this was rectified quickly l. The food was generally very good. The rooms were very practical. The beds were comfortable' showers hot and all was clean and very good value.

One of the best pubs in the area for an upmarket meal in a restaurant filled with character. Great food and a kids menu The owners seriously rock and the atmosphere reflects that. The whole decor has been transformed at the start of January and looks extravagantly glorious ... Sing Hosanna ... Sing
