Beautiful garden with a pond, really lovely garden features and plants to enjoy. A warm welcome and the hostess was warm and informative. The scone was lovely and tea perfect with extra hot water to add. We will return to try the lovely selection of cake described. Baking is fresh and wonderful and an improvement would be to offer home made jam to match. Thank you for this experience

Great afternoon tea in a lovely Sussex garden. A perfect place to stop off when walking on the South Downs. Welcomed into the flint walled garden and promptly served a lovely home made Cream Tea. Ample cream and jam and extra hot water for the tea. Scones had lots of filing (fruit or blueberry) and were perfectly warmed. Cakes looks nice but didn’t try. They have inside seating too and everything was very clean. Parking on site. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend, a little jem.

What a lovely surprise we had passing through Jevington; choice of homemade cakes, fantastic scones, great range of menu, excellent service. Food served with love and pride, very rare treat.

Stumbled upon this tea room whilst walking the downs. Arrived only to find I did not have any means to pay. The lady serving was kind enough to fill my water bottle whilst I frantically asked a family member to transfer money to the owner. Both ladies were more than accommodating (and trusting!) and were happy to let me transfer money. Omelette and tea I had hit the spot and the garden was very lovely. Would highly recommend and will be happy to return again soon.

I have driven past this place several times a week but last week a friend and I decided to drop in for cake and a cuppa. Lovely friendly ladies, serving delicious warm scones accompanied by jam and cream and a pot of tea. Went back today to sample their cakes also delicious. Lovely garden, so peaceful and relaxing. I think we will become regular visitors.

Walking around Jevington and stopped in tea gardens on recommendation of a friend. I was not disappointed. I had a great light lunch (cheese and onion toasted sandwich-pioing hot, with small salad), then a nice chunk of chocolate cake. Lovely sitting, good service. Will definitely visit again.

This tea garden was closed for 2 years. Now it is OPEN again. Hurrah, hurrah! The scones are as good as ever. The garden , the service are as good as before. A top-notch place for tea and handily located on the South Downs Way, so walkers and cyclists take note.

Lovely little tea room and garden we happened on by chance. Service was very friendly and quick. They even had biscuits for our dogs. The sandwiches and scones were fresh and very tasty. A lovely spot for relaxing after our walk.

I agree with a previous reviewer that although the location is wonderful (country garden), the prices are steep when taking into consideration the quality of jam and cream served with the cream tea and the tea bag in a pot was poor quality.

We stopped off at the tea garden one weekend recently mid-walk for a cream tea and sadly left feeling a bit disappointed. The garden is beautiful and the scones are very good. However for the price, the tea was a very bog standard bag in a pot. The jam was really poor quality little individual plastic container portions (the kind found in canteens) and the whipped cream was mostly air. I don’t understand why a place serving such great scones would give so little thought to the jam and cream being served with them; very odd! For the cost (just under £20 for two cream teas and two separate scones with jam - we seemed to be charged £1 for each single plastic portion of jam with these) we felt pretty underwhelmed. With a bit more thought given to each part of the cream tea, this tea garden would be superb.

Perfectly located on the South Downs Way. We just stopped in for a drink but the scones looked very good. Lovely garden and conservatory inside. Believe they are open weekends and bank holidays all summer.

These gorgeous tea gardens are now open again after being closed for a few years. Walking down into Jevington on a hot Good Friday a lady asked us if we were looking for somewhere to have a drink as the tea rooms had just opened that day....so forgot the pub and headed on. Had a delicious cream tea in the garden. So pleased it has re-opened and will be going back regularly. Its open fridays, saturdays & sundays (plus bank holiday mondays) 11 - 5pm. But don't tell everyone!

The owner kindly let us in even though she was trying to close. After walking over the Downs we were very happy to be able to relax in her lovely garden. What a welcome stop. (I would have given a 5th star for home-made jam, but the warm scone was delicious.)

It's set in a lovely garden and the owners seem very friendly. However the tea and cakes are pretty average and over priced for what they are. The scones don't have proper cream and the cake is dry and bland. If your in the area it's a nice enough place however I wouldn't go out of my way to pay a visit.

Visited here after a long walk on Lullington Heath, it was our 2nd visit and did not disappoint. We had the smoked salmon sandwich and the Sussex cream tea to share. Beautiful garden staff friendly and the scones perfect and warm. Best scones I have had in a long time. They are only open on certain days and so should check if you are making a special journey. Perfect Sunday.

Extremely unfriendly owner. Very unwelcoming. Told us she was nearly closed though it was 4.20 and sign said open until 4. Don't know why we bothered really. No thank you or goodbye. The waitress was friendly though. Would not bother to return .go to pub just up the road where they also serve coffee and are really friendly and welcoming and excellent food.

Freshly baked warm scones, home made cakes - what more could you want! We were made very welcome and had a delicious cream tea, but they also serve light lunches and various afternoon teas. The garden is lovely and there is an inside seating area for inclement weather. Open from Mothers Day until the end of September. Near to Seven Sisters Country Park - well worth the drive through the village.

Popped in for a coffee whilst in the area for business. Charming little place. I simply wanted to mention this place as the flat white I had was a great, great cup of coffee. If only other coffee shops could provide similar quality.

The customer service was very good and there was a choice of indoor and outdoor seating. The cafe discourages people using laptops. Looked to be a good selection of cakes and drinks. The lunches we saw looked good quality but there are cheaper lunches available in Uckfield. We would us it again.

It's always nice to find a cozy pub which is so accommodating of gluten free. Most of their menu items could be offered as gluten free which was such a treat. I had a lovely fish and chips followed by a chocolate honeycomb pudding.
