Visited here this morning, hungry after a two hour drive and was treated to the best full English breakfast I can ever recall. Beautifully cooked, top notch ingredients, very generous quantity, and lovely friendly service. Perfection.

I cannot provide an accurate review regarding the food or indeed the service on offer as the cafe was closed. The opening times displayed on the door indicated that they open at 9am on Mondays however, sadly, this was not the case yesterday. We waited until 9.15 then gave up and found an amazing little cafe located in nearby Polegate (see my review).

A friend visiting from the USA was desperate for a proper full English before heading home. Despite never having been here before, thought we'd give it a go. Service was friendly and welcoming. A proper café and the breakfast was generous, tasty and excellent value for money. I now know where to go when I fancy a good breakfast, brunch or lunch!

I have no real quibbles about my lunch, apart from the very small size of the individual quiche with salad I ordered. My partner, however, who ordered the vegetarian breakfast, experienced a very bad bout of digestive disorder that day and all of the following day. The grilled halloumi was most probably responsible for this, in her opinion, as it did not taste good. The prices are rather high for what you get for your money. Not good value for money. The tables and the chairs could be a bit cleaner (with no bits of food left on them). We were overcharged 50 pence on the bill. Yes, I know. Not the end of the world. However, if they make a practice of doing this, the extra takings will surely mount up over the course of a week, a month, a year.

We found this great café on our way home from a trip to Eastbourne. We ordered a small English and small vegetarian breakfast. Both were, in my opinion, very generous. The chef, Matt ,also came out to check whether my wife was a vegetarian to assure her that he would cook it separately. The food was freshly cooked and the options for vegetarian breakfast included halloumi and spinach. Both my wife and I agreed that this was a good find and was one of the best breakfasts we ever had. We will definitely return when we are in the area again.

Tried this for the first time since the new owners. Very friendly place. Drinks were good and piping hot. The full breakfast was excellent. Sausage and bacon from the butchers next door. Free range eggs. Heinz baked beans etc. Lovely home made potato rosti. All lovely and hot which makes a big difference to me. All in all highly recommended if you're in the area or passing as there is plenty of parking. The opening times are wrong on here apparently. It's 7-3 Mon Friday,8-1 Saturday. We shall return.

7am opening, friendly welcome, meat supplied by a local butcher (2 doors down) ... current cafe litmus test - bacon, sausage and egg sandwich, brown sauce, white bread, mug of tea ... this was perfect, great tasting sausage and bacon, fresh egg (and your asked how you would like it cooked) ... good banter, pleasant clean decor ... a little above usual cost, but well worth the money and the 1 mile walk from Polegate station. Went in for lunch and were warmly greeted when we went in. It was very quiet, only one other person was inside. Looked at the menu on the table and saw there were mainly breakfasts available all day and toasted sandwiches and paninis. Ordered the breakfast which cost around £8.50 and had bacon, sausages (2 of each), fried egg, baked beans, tomato and mushrooms. Asked for no baked beans as I don't like them and was offered another tomato instead. Hubby got a cheese and ham toastie. Our drinks arrived - I had a latte, they had sweeteners available if you ask for them. Hubby's toastie came next and he really enjoyed it, said it had a very good amount of filling and it was really tasty. Finally my lunch arrived and I noticed that it had baked beans on there :( I had to quickly move everything around so the sauce didn't go on anything else. I didn't like the taste of the tomato, it was very watery, I gave them to hubby - I'd just been given one tomato in two halves, so I don't think I'd got extra as I'd been offered, but that was instead of the beans, which I'd still been given, so I think my order wasn't dealt with very well, might be a good idea if they write things down in future. The sausages weren't to my taste either, they went to hubby. For me, the bacon was overdone and tasted too salty. I did eat it as I was hungry. The hash brown was really lovely, shame there wasn't two! I got one slice of toast with one pat of butter, it was well toasted and tasted nice. I didn't enjoy my lunch very much at all. If I come back, I will try something else.

New owner Lizzie and Brother Matt are a great team. After a major redecoration, the café is now clean and fresh and the food is fabulous. The breakfast hash browns are homemade and absolutely to die for. The sausages are from Brains Butchers next door and are wonderfully tasty and meaty. Had the small breakfast and they were happy to swap set parts of the breakfast for other options. (don't eat mushrooms as they are a fungus. YUCK!!). More than enough to eat, but for the larger appetite, there is a large breakfast, to tuck into. They also offer made to order Sandwiches and Paninis and homemade cake. YUM!! Can't wait for my next breakfast treat.

Went for lunch on a Tuesday just before 12 noon and there were three other tables occupied. No specials available so hubby had jacket potato with cheese and asked for extra cheese - he got a mountain of cheese and he was one happy hubby!! He loved it. He had a diet coke with it. I had a fry up - ordered bacon, scrambled egg, mushrooms, fried bread, sausage and fried potato's. It was all cooked fresh. I had a lovely latte coffee whilst waiting. Lovely service, as always, such a friendly, happy atmosphere in here. Spoke with the lady who owns it and was told she's sold the business and will be leaving shortly. Another couple have bought it and are planning on shutting it for a couple of weeks to redecorate and will then re-open. They plan on doing the breakfast style menu still and adding pannini's and cakes. Such a shame this lady is going but looking forward to seeing how the new place turns out!

I went here today for lunch and was very happy! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the menu was varied. I chose the jacket potato with cheese and beans, and although a simple meal, it was delicious! It was the best quality potato I've had in a cafe, so light and fluffy. My friend's breakfast baguette looked delicious too.The prices are extremely reasonable- my meal with a drink came to under £6.Not the most luxurious surroundings and the decor wasn't to my taste, but the cafe was clean and comfortable. I'll definitely be coming back soon!

The Triangle Cafe is a small extremely friendly cafe serving good honest home cooking. Heather, the owner, takes great care to greet and make you feel at home. Breakfasts are excellent with a wide choice of ingredients making up 4,5 or 6 item meals or more! 4, 5 or 6 items are a set price of £5.00, £5.50 or £6.00 which is very reasonable. Not your usual greasy cooked breakfast as all the food is griddled and hence grease free and healthier. Coffee is make from freshly ground beans and is excellent. There is a limited range of lunch time meals all reasonably priced. Cakes, sandwiches and filled baguettes are available either for cafe consumption or takeaway. Heather even offers a home delivery scheme for people who's mobility is limited. All in all this is a great little cafe where everyone is always welcome, with good home cooking and great coffee.

As you know I'm not one to complain and when things are good I like to shout about it too.I happen to come across The Triangle Cafe by chance on the way to visit my mum in Eastbourne. I noticed a small sign with an arrow and thought "Hmm, I'll try that"Here are the highlights :Food : GoodAtmosphere: FriendlyService: GoodFree WiFi: Absolutely.Would I go again? Absolutely!Value for money? Absolutely. I had a cappuccino of a decent size unlike some of the others that I've written about in previous reviews. I also ordered a Breakfast Baguette which came with egg, a couple of sausages and bacon all for £4.00!The cafe is what you'd expect from a cafe. No thrills, interesting decor. It's a little close with seating for 22 and I imagine if they get busy it can be quite a squeeze but on the day that I visited it was quiet :-)I really enjoyed the visit and I'm looking forward to going again. The Triangle Cafe is one of those treasures that if you don't know is there you could quite easily miss. But you know, don't take my word for it, try it out for yourself and let me know.
