This gem of a cafe is local to my workplace and I have visited numerous times. They do a great full English and there take away food also top class. Sausages in particular are very flavoursome. Big shout out to the very friendly staff - always helpful & happy - it makes a difference - so thank you.

Visited the Stones pie hut for a bit of grub before football kicked off. Opted for the limited edition steak and cheddar pie they were running on the day with chips and gravy. A small detour through the bar, spinning in a squadron of Spitfires to provide valuable air support to the pie. When the pie and pig's ear went down the gregory peck, it was spot on. A good alternative to the Nelson Mandelas or Twin Carburettis on the firm that I would normally opt for. Spin em in son! Up the Stones!

A far cry from a truckers café, this local coffee house offers a cosy seating area with a modest menu. The interior is well decorated. There is a standard selection of hot items with a range of cakes that also cater to vegan requirements. Parking is easily found on the road, or it's a walk away for local residents who tend to come here and socialise in small groups. Prices are what you would expect.

We took my mum to Yeoman for a belated birthday lunch. Vini the Manager made us feel so welcome as soon as we entered the restaurant. Our order was taken by Kelly. She was lovely and friendly and so polite. The food was exquisite!!!. Beautifully presented, and so delicious. We were so looked after. The best meal we have had out in a very long time. Such a varied menu. We will be going back again and again. Thank you Vini and Kelly for making us feel so welcome. If we could give you 20 stars we would. Natalie, Craig and Georgia. Xx♥️💗❤️

Went here for Sunday Lunch with a party of 13 (mixed ages from 4 up to 80) Service was very good, waitress were very attentive and very professional, i liked the fact that they came around the table to serve you food and did not pass it over the table. Food was very good, the majority of us had the Sunday lunch, the food was hot, well presented and plentiful. Lots of fresh veg, we ordered extra roasties and yorkshires. Yorkshires were really lovely and light. The only thing i was disappointed with was the apple crumble, lots of apple but very little crumble. We all commented that we would visit again.

Me, my mother in law and my daughter had an absolutely amazing Carvery at The Hop Pole today. A huge portion of lovely food for a great price! We followed up lunch with a few drinks in the beer garden where my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the bouncy castle that they have at the top of the garden. Despite the issues with a burst water main early this morning meaning no running water in Yalding, Nettlestead & surrounding areas, the staff were so efficient with ensuring the pub had plenty of bottled water. And the Carvery was still one of the best I’ve ever had. Everyone was so welcoming and the pub has an amazing atmosphere to it. Would definitely recommend to family & friends! In fact we’ve booked in another table for next Sunday’s Carvery! Thank you to the entire team at The Hop Pole😊

Absolutely thee worst meal ever. 9 people attened for my birthday Sunday lunch. Waited 90mins for just 1 starter and pub was vertuly empty. Told on arrival there was a problem with kitchen staff but not told there will be a wait. We booked this 1 week before and was not told earlier that there would be a long wait either, perhaps if we had we would have rebooted elsewhere due to taking 3 young children. 2 hours after ordering, only 8 meals arrived. Incidentally all we kept being told throughout was that there were lots of foods unavailable. Even basics like mashed potatoe for a children's roast, so had to have chips instead. We was offered a free round of drinks and kept thinking food would not be much longer, bearing in mind we had 3 children under 4yrs dining with us. When only 8 meals arrived they were of such poor quality. Meat was just slices, not from a joint. Potatoes were very floury, tasted frozen, yorkshire puddings were frozen then just tiny bit of veg. Then jug was plonked on table which they used for drinks with thee most watery gravy in it. We ordered 9meals but only 8 arrived, the 9th did come but after everyone had finished. They then sent bill over for £180. We were all fuming. Not once were we told there was a discount applied. My self and my husband discussed the bill with the manager. We told her about our issues and how upset and awful the meal was. We also said we were only prepared to pay £100 and even that was a lot, she was not at all happy and no apology was ever given. We told her thats all we are paying. She took payment and said nothing. Could not believe how we were treated. We were told only good things about this pub and was looking forward to going. My birthday was ruined and will never return. I understand things dont always run smooth but this was appalling and never ever received an apology. Totally and utterly disgusted and upset at how we were all treated.

A hidden gem in the Kent Countryside, our first visit. On arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff, professional and made you feel very welcome. We were seated in the bar area where we had a pre lunch drink, I highly recommend trying one of their cocktails, i tried The Gardens Toffee Apple and it was Amazing! We then entered the Tipi which is a fabulous space, nice ambiance, lovely well spaced tables, we then had the Sunday Roast, it was Fantastic, well executed, and tasted Amazing! The portion size is perfect, you will not be disappointed. Service is very efficient, and you feel looked after. We will definitely be returning, and we highly recommend you visit to experience this amazing place.

Very ordinary. Nothing wrong but a bit tasteless and uninspiring. Generally rather disappointing. There was a carvery option which have been a better choice.
