Great thin and crispy pizza with an excellent range of real ale, bitter and cider. Great atmosphere. Great local pub. Lots of life going on......

Overall a very enjoyable meal, reasonably priced and delicious. Only downside was both our pork fillets were a bit tough and dry, could have done with a steak knife to cut it, a minor minus against, hence the drop of 1 star for the food

Stopped off for a drink during a walk and ended up having lunch. The sharing meat platter was exceptional. One of the best scotch eggs I have eaten and both the beef and chicken dishes were equally good. Staff were helpful and friendly. Sat in the garden which is lovely and very dog friendly. Thank you

Ordered a takeaway to satisfy our late night sweet cravings. Got Smores Hot Pocket - Crepe with dark chocolate , marshmallows and fudge cake, topped with white chocolate drizzle and crunchy crumps - The crepe was really good 🤤 & Hot N Cold Choc Cake Volcano Sundae- Hot chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream, toffee sauce, milk chocolate shavings and wafer- Sundae was delicious 😋

Bed and breakfast package at Leeds Castle. On the night of arrival we took the opportunity to eat in the Castle View restaurant. It did disappoint. Service was good. (We wanted to tip they can only take cash tips - Leeds Castle- you need to sort this out, not fair on your restaurant staff). Food was great. Both had pork belly main. Cutlery & glasses nice and clean. Good wine menu. Nice atmosphere with views onto the castle. Ate elsewhere the second night and wished we had another meal here. Have added some images of the night & food.

This is our favourite restaurant in Kent. My father in law came to visit and it was the first time he met our family and his two grandsons. We had a lovely time in London, then came down to Kent for a more relaxed few days with family. We’d booked a table and my father in law and my husband I arrived on time, the rest of us were quite late because of traffic however the staff were incredibly friendly and understanding, which we really appreciated. The weather was lovely, so my husband and father in law waited outside with some drinks until we arrived. Once we got there, we headed inside and ordered our food—absolutely delicious, as always. I think we’ve been here four or five times now, and we make sure to come back every time we’re in Kent. It’s just brilliant. I brought along a candle for my father in law’s 70th birthday, and the staff were more than happy to pop it onto one of their desserts, which was such a nice touch. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough—it’s fantastic. A big well done to all the staff!

Anticipating a big Sunday roast the four of us didn’t have a starter. We ordered two roast chicken dinners and two chicken caesar salads. The latter were fine. However the roasts echo previous comments ie underwhelming, overcooked, especially the veg and pigs in blankets. The exception being the potatoes which were if anything a bit anaemic. “Gareth’s gorgeous gravy” didn’t live up to its website description, being too thin and served in a half pint beer mug! It’s only use was to try to soften the thrice-baked Yorkshire pudding. At £14 for the dish it’s reasonable value overall. A good roast comes in at £18-£20 these days so the saying “ you get what you pay for” appears to be true.
