Roast dinner was delicious. Apple tart we had to eat with a knife and fork. The apple was really tasty but the pastry was really hard to cut. The staff were professional but happy and very helpful. The atmosphere was friendly

We were served by Mia who was amazing! All of the staff were very helpful and friendly! And the manager on shift was so good sorting out gift card issue. The food was delicious and came out very quickly. Would 100% come here again :)

Served by Tash. She was very attentive when serving us. Very lovely person and friendly, easy to talk to. I felt bad for being rude when she came over to check on us when I had crackling in my mouth. Took a joke well. I hope she wins 🤞 x

Came here with some friends for a Sunday roast. All of the staff were lovelt but James went out of his way to ensure everything that I had ordered was suitable for me to eat, due to an allergy I have. Service was quick and nothing was to much trouble.

I had the hand battered cod and chips and it was absolutely delicious. Great quality food and a very attentive server (Tash). I highly recommend.

Staff very friendly, thank you. Environment looks welcoming until you see the marks on everything...smeary tables and dirty menus. I was very disappointed with cleanliness I'm afraid. The quality of food was also not to the standard expected. I haven't been to this pub for several years and had anticipated a return to a place that used to be great.

My vegan stew was lovely and Tash who served us, was a pleasure. Bit pricey but everywhere is nowadays.

Our server Char was amazing, so attentive and went the extra mile to make it a special experience. The food was delicious, though the menu was a bit overwhelming but had great range of choice, something for everyone. The only issue we had was with dirty glasses, lipstick stains and watermarks, although when mentioned the staff were more than happy to rectify it. Overall a great experience, definitely recommend and will come again!

Heavans....what a change. The White Horse of yesteryear was one of two top bars/eateries in Bearstead. Granted more than a few years since I've been here but the transformation is disheartening and embarrassing having decided to bring friends here. It's headed downwards in terms of cleanliness, food and clientele. Hard to know where to begin. It certainly needs a deep clean. Glassware dirty, tables and chairs stain laden. Whole place a shabby shade of its former self. It's odd but one could tell the changed atmosphere of the place on entering. The food? .. A vegetable side dish combination of chopped kale (barely blanched) and frozen peas - a new one on me. The roast potatoes about the right size to play marbles. The three I got wouldn't even equate to one on a normal roast. Parsnips drained of any liquid they may once have had. The vegetarian wellington is and upside down pie near cremated with a strange mix including the same kale. Other dishes no better and at £30 a head it's poor value for money. A million times better burger, fries and drink to be had at McDonalds for a third of the cost. Young people do the serving here efficiently in fairness though anyone older would be mortified to place such food on a table. The toilets smell, noticeable even on entering the establishment from the car park. The clientele regretably also changed. The family feel is long gone. They seem to be getting people in but this is an 'urban youth' bar now if not budget friendly. Not sure what happened in the intervening years but the White Horse i remember is no more.

We’ve been coming here for a few years now, and never have any problem, but different this time. I almost always have their prawn and crabs linguini with chorizo as this was my fav, but I don’t know why this time was so dry you can see it from the photo, usually have a little creamy sauce, and I tried it and it’s got awful taste as if it’s been cooked with old oil or something? I just can’t eat it. I then order chicken and leeks pie instead. Apart from that, all is great, my husband love his pork belly, his starter and dessert was spot on, my starter and dessert also great no complaint at all.

My family and I came to The White Horse with my Nan to have a drink and some lunch in honour of our late Grandad. James went above and beyond, carrying out a very thoughtful gesture on behalf of our Grandad and is an absolute credit to The White Horse.

The waitresses were very welcoming and accommodating. The food was brilliant (especially the steaks) and came out quickly.

The vegetarian options were limited on the lunch menu and what was vegetarian on the lunch menu was unavailable on the day we visited. The cost of the lunch menu was reasonable. The staff were pleasant.

Such a lovely pub. We came for a friend's 30th birthday and had such a lovely time. Food was lovely, one item on our order got mixed up but the girls quickly resolved the problem and kindly took it off the bill for us which was so kind. Will definitely be returning!

We held our Mum’s wake here yesterday. The mangers and staff were super helpful, friendly and efficient. All went without a hitch. A extra special mention to James looked after us through the afternoon, making sure our every need was met graciously and with a smile.

We participated in the bottomless brunch and it was wonderful. A great 2 course meal for £35 with bottomless cocktails - a brilliant deal. We also received great service from Charlotte and Fraser, with a constant flow of drinks and very attentive.

Came here for bottomless brunch on my birthday. We were served by Charlotte and Fraser, the atmosphere and food was amazing. They brought out a piece of cake with a candle which was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend.

Had a great meal at The White Horse in Bearsted recently. The place has a lovely, cozy vibe, and it’s perfect for catching up with friends or family. The menu has loads of variety, and everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. The fish and chips were spot on, and the service was brilliant – friendly and attentive without being over the top. There’s a nice outdoor area too, which would be great in the summer, plus plenty of parking. Definitely worth a visit if you’re after great food and a relaxed atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

The White Horse is back…. I’ve lived in Bearsted for 19 years and it’s the best it’s been…. The bar service which was always an issue has improved ridiculously, they are attentive, quick to serve and efficient. The food is back to being amazing! The atmosphere is great and a real asset to the village. The White Horse is my go to bar on a Friday or Saturday night… and the occasional Sunday roast. Massive congratulations to Tom, who has turned the place around, bravo to you sir and your team!

We came here New Years day, it was our first time, we were a party of 10. The pub is absolutely beautiful & the atmosphere was lovely. The food was absolutely gorgeous just so tasty. Everyone was so friendly. Can't wait to come here again I want to try there Sunday lunch. Thankyou all for making our new year's day.

We found the ambience festive,the staff wonderful and the food was fab- u- lous!!!!! Out first Christmas spent 'out' rather than at home cooking and enjoyed it so much that will now consider doing this every year to reduce stress levels and have a relaxing fun day.

I came here with my wife, 2 small kids and mum for lunch - the food was very nice (would say a cut above standard gastropub) but the service was outstanding - lovely guys on the tables and behind the bar, couldn't be more helpful. 5 stars just for a great service experience, well done!

Had our works Christmas part there, the food was outstanding, served by Gemma, great waitress laughed and joked with us, impeccable service, great night.

We haven't had dinner at the White Horse for some years as our previous dinner there was a disaster due to very poor service and very loud customers! But we thought we'd try again as it had been some years and we thought that the service issue would have been sorted out by now. However, nothing has changed! It took ages for anyone to take our drinks order and we had to wait an hour before our main courses arrived. Service was just as slow between the mains and desserts. Also, there was only one very uninteresting vegan dessert option. Any vegan will tell you that fruit and sorbet aren't worth the calories! We chose 4.30pm on a Saturday thinking this would be a quieter time but it was just as busy. Either the White Horse need a larger kitchen or more staff, or a combination of both. The existing staff can't cope properly when the restaurant is full. This restaurant seems to attract large groups of diners who like to shout and screech at each other at full volume so it's hard to have a conversation due to the noise. On a table near us, the women decided to walk across the chairs at their table on their way out. Classy. The White Horse used to be a nice place with good service but not any more. We won't be visiting again.

Terrible service. Food was good but not worth the price. Nearly half an hour before we were asked for our first drinks then at the end we were asked if we could hurry up because the next booking was coming in, they hadn't even asked for our desserts yet and we were still waiting on drinks...

Had a lovely meal out at the white horse today, tasha our server/waitress was amazing, really friendly, officiant and all around smiley. Always made sure we had everything and always checked on us. Will defo come again xx

Thoroughly enjoyed a lovely lunch here today. We had fantastic service from Luke He went above and beyond, to ensure we had the best time. He is an absolute credit to the restaurant/ pub. Lunch was delicious. So fresh and I highly recommend the fish & chips to everyone. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Lovely meal, lovely place, lovely food and Tasha who waited on us was also lovely. If you don't get the beef croquettes you're missing out. I've given a 5 star for food as we've eaten here loads and it is always top class but I must admit, I didn't much enjoy the steak pie, wish I had gone for the pork belly but that's a matter of preference.

Great Experience at The White Horse Inn, Bearsted I visited The White Horse Inn in Bearsted two weeks ago, and it was a fantastic experience. The food tasted great, and everything was well-prepared and enjoyable. The table service was excellent—staff were attentive and made sure we were well looked after throughout the meal. I never had to go looking for someone to order a drink, as the team was always on hand and very efficient. Their attentiveness really stood out and made the visit feel seamless and relaxed. The atmosphere was lovely, creating a warm and welcoming vibe for a great dining experience. Overall, I was very impressed and would highly recommend The White Horse Inn for anyone looking for good food and excellent service.

Had 2 Sandwiches and two halfs of lager shandy and the bill was £40.95! Sandwiches were toasted and on really small bread and no way worth the money. The two halfs of shandy were £6.25 each which is a bit pricey. Told it was London prices but Pub is in Bearstead! Sat in the conservatory on the side of the Pub which really needs refurbishing as it looks really shabby. Very disappointed with our choice of lunch date.

Came back off the whim as we didn’t have a great time a while back and my god what a change. The food was amazing .. big thanks to the manager Charlotte who took full control of our meal and just smashed it out the park. She even went and made our dessert so we didn’t have to wait. Just wish she was on the day we last visited feel things would have gone a lot different. Completely turned our bad experience around. What a girl. Thanks again hun x
