The service offered by the team at Chilston Park Restaurant - Culpeper's, today was second to none. From start to finish - fantastic service! Compliments to the chef on a great menu with something to offer for all tastes and requirements. The cheese platter in particular, was excellent.

Friendly historic pub, serving great food and great beer (namely the Harvey’s)! Did a walk in early Monday evening and was quite quiet with 3-4 tables having service and some regulars at the bar and in the garden. The lady at the bar provided friendly and attentive service and the food overall was delicious. Will definitely come back. Lots of nice food options you don’t see in most pubs and a specials board.

Oh dear, how disappointing it was when my friends really hyped this place up. The breakfast was close to warm, poached eggs, they had been poached so long they were brick hard. Cold bacon, cold mushrooms. As for the team yes you guessed it, cold !!!!. Then when you pay, even though I shared a pot of tea, we all got charged for a pot of tea !!, even though we only had a coffee cup of tea each.

Stayed here in one of the bed-and-breakfast rooms… whilst the staff were fabulous, polite and helpful. My room was directly next to the courtyard of the beer garden, and it was soooooo noisy . Yes, I understand it’s a public house but if they are going to offer accommodation, it should be well away from drinking areas. My window was literally 5 m away from the tables outside and everyone was screaming and shouting. Do not stay here if you want a peaceful night sleep.

We went as a group of 5, 3 adults 2 children for their Sunday buffet lunch. The function room we had was superb, lovely festive decorations really well done. The food was faultless, large selection to choose from and very well presented. Our waitress was very good, attentive and very pleasant always making sure our table was well looked after. Well done we will return.

Visited today and found the whole experience pretty bad. There were issues at first with ordering - the slush puppy machine was broken, they were out of ham and when asking for a receipt at first the receipt roll didn't work. To be fair, the lady who served us was very pleasant and apologetic as were all the waiting staff. Anyway, we were told our food would be 30 minute wait, which we were ok with. 50 minutes went by and no food. I asked a waitress if they could give some sort of indication on how much longer the food will be, the lady said they would check. 10 minutes went past and the waitress didn't come back. We had now been waiting over an hour with no indication with how long the food would be. We ended up getting the food 1hr 10 mins after we ordered it. My daughter had the kids cheeseburger. This was inedible, it was overcooked and tasted gross, none of this got eaten. We saw another woman got a refund for the same burger but at this point there was a huge queue at the bar and we didn't want to wait any longer. My club sandwich was ÂŁ10.95, it didn't look great and certainly didn't seem value for money (see photo), to be fair it tasted nice. My dad had the scampi which was ÂŁ13.95. He said it tasted nice but the portion of scampi seemed very small for the amount he got. All in all, a very bad experience was had. Its a shame because the crazy golf was so good.

My husband and I came for dinner last night and we had a wonderful evening. The staff were fantastic! The service was comparable to high end restaurants you would visit in London. The food was delicious, I simply couldn’t finish it all. The cheese board was a meal in itself. The restaurant had a fantastic atmosphere. Will definitely be back again. Keep up the good work 💕

Took my elderly mother in law with other family plus dog for Friday lunch. We were extremely warmly received by Erol and had a lovely table near the roaring fire. First off, the local brew was one of the best. Had the home baked bread as a nibble with our drinks. It was made with charcoal and flour but light and airy with a fab flavour and served with homemade herb butter (Erol grows and dries his own oregano!) I had the fish and chips. Fresh Pollock (sustainable 👍) in a light crisp batter which was cooked to perfection and the chips perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. 11 out of 10! We also had the spicy chicken wings which were finger licking good. My mother in law had homemade celeriac soup which was utterly delicious. It’s not often that after I eat out I feel the urge to write a glowing review but The Harrow and our wonderful experience made me feel the need. Definitely going back for more.

If you're walking in the country park then this is a very good place to stop for a coffee. The lady serving was very friendly and helpful. The coffee was freshly made and was good. Cakes, crisps and biscuits were also available and there is also a table where you can sit and take a rest.
