The best restaurants serving British food in Guildford South East

Delicious and independent veggy and vegan cafe in the heart of Guildford run by very friendly owners. Just what Guildford needs. To start I had yummy homemade mushroom and leek quiche accompanied with fresh tasty mix of different salads. I stayed to write my Christmas cards being so behind with Christmas, they didn’t mind at all. All that Christmas card writing made me hungry, good excuse to enjoy a lunch of mushroom stroganoff, salads , followed by Fruit Crumble and cream. Yum. Set in a lovely, atmospheric, historic building. Good value too.

Our first visit here we were greeted by friendly staff. The coffees were served nice and hot - good prices, too. Browsed the small farm shop and bought some lovely, fresh rolls. The only downside was the three large dogs in the small café area at separate tables which made it difficult to avoid them.

Best breakfast in Guildford and very polite staff and all cooked fresh will be going back very soon highly recommend to anyone go check it out grate value for money

We had a lovely afternoon high tea served to us yesterday, finger sandwiches, scones with cream and jam and gorgeous little cakes. Everything was exceptional. The shop is a popular place and we can see why! Thank you ladies for looking after us!

We went to the Long Bar and Grill with family on a Saturday evening. We had an excellent time and meal. All the staff were amazing and Jess who was our waitress was fantastic. Could not praise her enough and is a credit to your restaurant For example, always ensuring that our wine glasses were full and that everything was satisfactory. An excellent restaurant and would highly recommend, if I could give it six stars I would.

Best Fish and Chips,/ Chicken in fact all food. Normally cooked to order, always hot and delicious, staff are helpful and polite, prices are keen. Definitely recommend to anyone, 5 stars

Precioso pintoresco - edificio con buena comida y buena relación calidad-precio. Acogedor y agradable para los perros, sin embargo nos sentamos arriba hoy y el lugar es muy, muy sucio - polvo grueso en el pasamanos, pantallas de lámparas y superficies de un armario y telarañas. El inodoro de señoras tampoco es genial - mientras que el inodoro y el lavabo están limpios, la habitación está muy desastrosa y de nuevo sucia y polvorienta. También la zona de estar exterior delantera necesita una buena limpieza y desbroce. Es una pena, ya que es un gran lugar y muy popular.

Lovely evening and brilliant staff. A warm friendly welcome and taken care of throughout the evening. Had the fillet steak and although a smaller steak it is worth it for the lovely flavour and not an ounce of fat on it! Had the toffee and apple bread and butter pudding to share after dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Will be back.

A superb proper pub with real beer kept in tip top condition and offering an excellent selection of fine wines. It's not a foodie pub but the snacks are fine and on occasions lovely food is available from visiting chefs serving from outside. Ignore the rather rude reviews about the landlord, he is the most delightful, welcoming and charming man .

This is the best place to eat drink and relax in Horsley … amazing food especially the pea and bacon soup .. team great price great… it’s warm it’s cozy it’s my favourite place to take friends and family for a spot of lunch

Made a pit stop during a road bike ride with friends. Good and service were good. Good selection of snacks, including vegan ones.

Best vindaloo lamb curry I have had in years. Compliments to the chefs and team as a whole. Best service ever. Highly recommended.

Un montón de cosas aquí es amateur, pero bastante bueno. Es razonable, teniendo en cuenta los actores, etc. caros no son pagados, sólo puedo asumir que la cabeza no son baratos. Bonito y pequeño bar - café decente y también dejan tomar su vino en el teatro que es civilizado. Si necesita aparcar prueba el aparcamiento en el pub George abbot - mucho más fácil para aparcar y más cerca.
