Ordered a gluten free bacon sandwich yesterday (15th July 2024), it was brought over to me and i had eaten half of it when a staff member came over and told me that what i was eating was not in fact gluten free bread... I am coeliac which is an auto immune disease whereby your body attacks any gluten in your stomach and causes extreme stomach ache, sickness, diarrhea, mouth ulcers, canker sores and swollen taste buds among other things, cancer long term. Please be wary when ordering from here that your allergen is taken seriously. Had this been a nut allergy for example, i could have died there and then. Allergens need to be taken much more seriously than this. I was refunded the money for the bacon sandwich and apologized to but this has not taken away the anxiety inducing experience of it all. I am also in my third trimester of pregnancy, being dehydrated and sick is the last thing i need right now as it not only affects me but my unborn child too.

Visited the cafe and shop yesterday for a birthday lunch with my daughter and baby grandson. She had an avocado smash served on sourdough bread with grilled vine tomatoes, mushrooms and topped with feta .Delicious !!!!..I settled for a hot sausage roll and coffee. We bought baby a packet of Farleys rusks in the shop and she also purchased some locally made chutney and washing up refill .The shop caters for everyday goods milk, bread ,cheese etc but also stocks a range of upmarket foods, drinks and cards for presents .Well worth a visit .

Decided to pay a visit to the Normandy Village Cafe and shop today. A bit chilly but we sat outside and had coffee and cake. Very pleasant atmosphere, nice coffee and very helpful assistants. Enjoyable visit.

We are so lucky in Normandy to have such a fantastic shop & cafe. I have eaten here on numerous occasions. The food has been excellent! I've had lovely homemade quiche & salad, homemade mushroom soup with fresh uncut sourdough bread, numerous delicious cakes, scones & sausage rolls. All presented beautifully along with quality tea & coffee and delivered by one of the volunteers. The shop has everything you need including fresh fruit & veg, meats, bread/rolls supplied by a local bakery, wine, & lots of store cupboard staples. Well done to all the committee who got this project off the ground and made it a reality!

Seating outside, inside and upstairs. We sat upstairs, which has several sofas. Can still get very busy. Great coffee and cakes. I had a jacket potato with prawns which was nice, but a bit dry.
