Peaslake Village Stores in Guildford

So I’ve visited many many times on Mtb rides and had tea, coffee, cakes, sausage rolls and cheese straws, but this weekend’s cheese straw was *off the charts* good. I’ve always liked them and they’re lovely warm, but this one was hot from the oven and it was TRANSCENDANT. I’m in love!

Walkers, runners, cyclists, horse riders, locals... The focal point for so many when out enjoying the countryside. A well stocked village shop with the addition of hot drinks, hot snacks and great cakes (and a loo!) while you join the many people sat on the benches, by the stream or usually, sat in the bus shelter - very social.A very welcoming team, led by Trudi who knows her regulars and looks after us so well. We actually plot our running routes so we end up going through Peaslake, just for the tea and cake stop - we would be lost without you!

Always a treat and always packed with riders both mountain and roadies. Great home cooked treats, teas, coffees and the usual from a village store. And reasonably priced too.

Large numbers of cyclists and fewer walkers stop off here for refreshments. There are no seats or tables inside but most people buy drinks & snacks then eat them outside by the bus shelter.I always go for their hot, home-made pork slice and a cup of tea (in a real mug!)

It appears the staff are paid to smoke outside the door rather than serve customers

Probably one of the best village stores in Surrey. Been stopping off for a coffee and piece of cake for many years and it never fails to impress; large selection of homemade cakes and the have filter coffee on the go all day.Additionally they have an excellent selection of all the goods you would expect from a village store. NB it’s a shop so you have to sit outside to drink your coffee but it a lovely area particularly on a sunny day

This is a great place to visit to collect delicious goodies to take to Newlands Corner for a picnic with a view. Great watering hole for cyclists or walkers. Tea in a proper mug. Pretty village.

An absolute delight to stop and get refreshed at the Peaslake Store / takeaway. Hot drinks from a MUG, cold drinks, freshly baked sausage rolls, pasties, pastries and a selection of sandwiches to regain your energy to cycle off. Road Bikers, Mountain Bikers make it a great friendly atmosphere.

A goldmine for the owners & greedy pricing. Everything is overpriced & the owners should be ashamed of themselves

Lovely little store but nothing that I needed to buy. They have a great ideas for gifts if you are in the market for gift buying.

Back in peas lake after a year staying in the bb opposite got rid of bags and straight over village store for one of there fresh samosas 👍What a great friendly gem of a shop keep it up

My partner told me about this place as he does lots of mountain biking in Surrey Hills. For our walking weekend therefore we picked up a roll each (minted lamb - SO GOOD!!) and also a slice of cake apiece before embarking on our first hills - they were filling, delicious and reasonably priced. The carrot cake I had was heavenly and NUT FREE which I have to say was the best find ever as carrot cake is one I usually have to miss out on. It was fantastic. The women running the place are clearly run off their feet with cyclists and walkers around lunchtime, and were full of good humour. We returned the next day to pick up a piece of the famous pork & leek plait before leaving Peaslake - worth the hype.

Polite service and really tasty freshly cooked choices at the counter. Perfect pit stop during a nice walk :-)

Perfect stop Mid-Ride for Fuel & Water! Cakes and Pastries are amazing and made on site. Proper mug of coffee and staff are super friendly and fun. I'm sure they've heard all the biking banter before :) If your Biking on the Surrey Hills be sure to pop in for a Cake and a Coffee or some Haribo..Fantastic village store. Thanks!

For a shop that is tucked away in the middle of know where, this place carries a great range of freshly made pastries most of which are made in the shop. They stock great beer too!

Visited after a walk over Pitch Hill. Fantastic friendly service, mega size cheese straw and a proper mug of tea. Clean loo upstairs. Just had to take a massive wedge of Bakewell tart home with me. All very reasonably priced.

Little village shop in peas lake you can buy anything from a samosa to a can of beans fresh sandwiches and more brilliant

Nos alojamos en la cama y el desayuno, al otro lado de la carretera y salimos de este lugar. Gran variedad de golosinas dentro con un montón de cosas que se hacen en las instalaciones para mucho a la lista. Una tienda que está muy bien dirigido, así que échale un vistazo a este sitio.

La tienda parece estar abierto más días y tiene una gran variedad de comida caliente y fría. También se pueden tomar bebidas frías o un té caliente mugof o café. El personal siempre es amable y puedes cruzar la carretera para encontrar algunos asientos para disfrutar de un merecido descanso. Asegúrese de tomar su taza de vuelta y ponga su basura en los contenedores de siempre y todo el mundo puede continuar para disfrutar de la zona.

has a post office and all the things you need in a village shop so is very convenient. Sooo friendly!!

Really polite staff! Take away tea and coffee and .... Allegedly world famous sausage and leek (?) slices ....well they are bloody marvellous ( hate the word awesome!)!!!!! Will definitely pop in again.

Such a sweet shop with great charm. Perfect pit stop for the abundance of cyclists that pass through this village or if you just need to stock up on a few essentials.

Most excellent refueling hole , sells sausage and leek slices , and cheese strings amongst other things.

Pork and leek, cheese straws and cake...need I say more?!! Delicious home cooked food and snacks including chunky rolls with real ham and chicken! Reasons my priced tea and free use of the extremely clean customer toilet.

A great asset in the heart of the Surrey Hills, with a thriving shop, serving groceries, savouries and cakes, and doing mugs of coffee - excellent savoury bakes and welcome coffee.

Always stop here when mountain biking in the Surrey Hills for a mug of Tea and some of the best home made food there is going, sausage rolls, pork and leek pie, its all awesome and the staff are great

If you're cycling in the Surry Hills you have to stop here for a friendly welcome, good mugs of tea and coffee, and some of the best home baking around... Friendly welcome, public loo, no seating but the village bus shelter opposite is just the job.

Being a cyclist the village stores is one of my favourite places to stop. Great sausage rolls, pies, cheese straws and cakes. Staff are always friendly and it's always busy. It's a shop so no seating inside but everyone is happy to sit around the bus stop across the road. Well worth stopping and saying hi.

Sweet little village shop offering some great lines, from cheeses, cups of tea, quality soft drinks, samosas and an array of sandwiches and savoury snacks along with all the other bits and bobs you would expect to find furnishing a quaint little shop in a pretty little village like Peaslake. A must make a pit stop here if you're planning to ride around Pitch Hill.

Fantastic shop frequented by road cyclists and mountain bikers alike. Cheese straws are legendary, but there's so much more: cake, sandwiches and fresh tea served with a smile.

A cup of strong tea and a home made Flapjack is perfect before you head out mountainbiking in the valleys around this village! Remember to return the cup!

Really nice shop with nice staff selling good take away food, in the form of sandwiches and cakes.just on the green, and handy if you are cycling, very little else there though.

great home made cakes and fresh coffee (in mugs!) which they allow you to take outside to enjoy. We always use this shop whilst mountain biking around Holmbury St Mary and Pitch Hill for a mid ride pit stop!

Bubbly, friendly staff where nothing is too much trouble. Wide variety of deli foods, sandwiches, cakes, pastries, teas and coffees to take away and much more. Highly recommend.

Right in the Surrey hills in a beautiful spot. The pies and cakes are superb and fresh coffee is on offer.Their quiche is likely to be the best you have ever eaten. A Mecca for mountain bikers and walkers on the Downs.

Great place to stop if you are out for a walk in the beautiful Hurtwood or on a bike exploring the fabulous countryside round here. Yes its a shop but has a good range of food to go including vegetarian options, hot and cold drinks with quality coffees and teas.
