Had easter sunday dinner and it was excellent. From booking our table to paying the bill. Roast was first class and service/ friendliness to match. Thanks and will return. Len

I’ve been meaning to come and watch at the pub since I stumbled across the winery back last year Can’t fault the food for what it was keeping the menu simple is always good in my opinion can’t mess things up The pub itself is tired and in desperate need of a make over very spit and saw dust This has the potential to be a great local restaurant which let’s be honest isn’t much around now the pump rooms shut Will definitely be back And the girls serving absolutely lovely

We was recommended this pub to take our brothers wake here after his funeral. When we booked here the lady that booked us in seemed really nice until the day that we went into the restaurant. We was greeted by a different lady. Who had the ump.the whole time we was there. When serving not once did she smile and seem to be rude when serving. The food was nice but the service was atrocious from the bar lady. This really upset me as it was my brother's wake and I have many people coming up to me saying about how rude she was. So I wouldn't recommend this place as awake they like to take your money and I should imagine they took a bit on that day but the service was terrible.

Our large family wanted somewhere for Sunday lunch. The publican accommodated us at short notice. We were made very welcome. The Sunday roast was very generous size portions. We had a wonderful dinner and would definitely come back. The pub is very clean and friendly and on our doorstep.

Nice traditional hotel. People should support local independent trading instead of using the big faceless globalists.

the breakfast baguette really nice would buy again, onion rings gorgeous, chips were very overcooked unfortunately but I would buy again from this restaurant

I was born in the railway tavern in 1950 Lived at the then pub until 1963. Happy memories

Cuando caminé hacia la puerta principal me pregunté si el lugar estaba realmente abierto, ya que estaba tan vacío, deteriorado y muerto. ¡Lamento no haberme dado la vuelta! El servicio era lento. Llegué 30 minutos antes del cierre de la cocina y me dijeron que tenía que pedir rápidamente y luego tuve que esperar 25 minutos para que alguien tomara mi pedido, luego otros 10 minutos para que viniera una bebida. La comida era basura y no vale la pena el precio.

Just had a red tikka masala it was delicious! So glad they do cherry pepsi max now too! Also a great selection of desserts.

Always friendly, nice atmosphere, drinks are always spot on.

Proper country pub , excellent variety of beers and ales from abroad and local breweries. Friendly atmosphere one of the best pubs in area. If you like traditional then this pub certainly ticks all the boxes .. would highly recommend.

placed an order and then had to wait while 4 other people, 1 uber and 1 just eat driver ordered after me but got their food before me. cod and chips not bad but being ignored after i placed an order and paid is very bad! and no card payments either!
