The best restaurants serving British food in Fareham South East

Our waitress was called Olivia she was very helpful, kind and welcoming she made sure we all enjoyed our food. Lovely lady

Have driven past many times and decided that we must give this place a go. Wish we hadn't bothered! The menu is quite limited and what makes it even worse is that both of us have issues with peppers - capsicum and chilli . Only one thing on the menu that I liked and didn't have some form of pepper in it. On the upside hubby had a burger that he really enjoyed but apart from that, considering that the venue is overlooking the creek with an abundance of swans, the food is a complete let-down. Won't bother going back as there are plenty of other venues in the area with more extensive menu's that don't seem to be dependent on peppers!!

The food was good,the bar staff very good let down unfortunately by the person on the door.When we arrived she was deep in conversation and did not acknowledge us at all.Most of the tables had reserved signs on so carefully choose one that didn't.Ordered our drinks were given menu's by bar staff,was in the middle of ordering,when the women who had not acknowledge us earlier came over and asked if they were our coats on the table.I said yes and she said you will need to move the table is reserved,I said we were not aware it was and she said we have put a cutlery box on the table that says it's reserved.I did not argue just moved my coat and found another place outside which was very pleasant.My friend however said to her that we were unaware that the table was reserved as it had no sign and perhaps in future she might put a reserved sign on it.She just said well you should have waited to be seated anyway.I found her attitude very rude the young man who brought our food seemed almost embarrassed that we were spoken to in such a way.Won't be going for food there again if she is on.The pub was empty when we turned up so what was her excuse for not coming up politely explaining the system earlier not waiting till the people actually turned up.Suggest she takes a hospitality course.

Expensive for what is clearly budget supplied food for a standard breakfast. For £1.50 more you could have their top meal treble most items but too much to eat. I had finished my breakfast and went to the toilet leaving my cup of tea to be finished on my return and my coat still on the chair. On my return the table had been cleared by a rude waitress. To be fair, the proprietor did offer me a replacement tea but it shouldn't have happened in the first place being so eager to clear an obviously occupied table. It is a typical roadside caff but expensive and rude service.

Used this pub for many years, will continue to use it, not an app virgin anymore great service 👍

Visited for Sunday Lunch. Disappointing to have 10% Service Charge automatically added with no mention of this on menu.

Friendly relaxed atmosphere and delicious food. We went on curry night, 3 had the vindaloo and 1 a calcutta curry. I had a Thai chicken curry which was amazing. They were served with Naan bread, rice and crunchy onion bhaji's. The price was very reasonable and the staff were very patient as we divided the bill. Would thoroughly recommend

A hotel not owned by one of the hotel corporations.Privately owned and very,very well run.Recommend the experience.

usual Spoons standard.Unlike earlier days watched Liverpool stuff Saints well bit closer than that to be fair!

Food is nice but the reason why I rated it a 1star Is because hygiene rated 1/5 so me personally I'm NEVER having it Again SO DONT HAVE IT!!!!!

Sunday roast. Excellent service,staff friendly, huge portions, very tasty. Cannot fault. Will definitely return again.

Over priced, terrible service and tiny burgers!! On second visit sat outside in the sun for sunset, totally ignored by the staff - when asked inside why, they said that evening they weren’t serving outside - despite having customers out there and plenty of staff! They need to try so much harder to even get back to where they were before the refit, let alone being better!!!

i normally love this place eat here quite often never had many problems but today was different. i ordered 2 brownies and 2 milkshakes too my table. first off all the forgot one of my brownies but then when i asked for my second they told me i didn’t order a second and had to re pay even tho i had the receipt. after ordering my second brownie to my table the worker decided to come over and chuck it onto my table in front of me. just thought this was quite rude since he spoke in quite a rude manner to me and my friends before this.
