Disappointed in the quality of the food which did not exactly live up to the written description on the menu. One of us had Hunter's Chicken Schnitzel which was baked so hard and rigid it was difficult to cut, let alone chew, and a lot had to be cut off and left on the plate. It was supposed to be served with skin-on fries but came with ordinary generic chips, and with a dressed side salad which turned out to be a few lettuce leaves and tomato slices on the same plate as the hot food, and did not appear to have anything by way of a dressing. The other one of us had Grilled Seabass Fillets which in themselves were good quality but they were supposed to be served with sautéed potatoes. instead they were balanced on top of three large whole boiled new potatoes, not sauteed in any way. There were also supposed to be king prawns, but the prawns seemed like ordinary sized prawns, and there was a scattering of peas, but nothing else green on the plate. Altogether a bit disappointing for the price. The staff and the drinks were lovely, but left feeling a bit let down.

The worst windows etancheity i've ever seen. You feel the cold at 2 meter from the windows. The highway is in your room, you can hear it all night. They didn't lock my door after cleaning. It takes 15-30min to have cook 1 egg each morning.

Haven’t been here for ages, but we thought we’d try it again. Nicely decorated pub and well looked after. Good ‘pub meal’ menu - pretty quick and friendly service. Food was very good indeed, well cooked and presented. Content and satisfied and at a very reasonably price.

My friends and I had an unexpected day out in Aylesbury, we finished in the King's Head in the new bar area, Drew, our server gave us such a warm welcome, moved chairs around too accommodate, such a bubbly service that made us feel instantly relaxed. Served our wine and we felt great in such a lovely environment. The decor is spot on an din jeeping with the pub/restaurant. We will definitely return.

Food was bland and disappointing, though it looks like they are trying to make up for it with quantity. Seems the chef doesn't want to be there. If you order sausage roll with fries, it will cost you £9. If you order it separately, it will be £7. That is, unless they give part of your order to someone else and then tell you they don't have any more, even though you already paid and been waiting for 10 minutes for the food. Just go anywhere else and you'll have better rating experience

Sunday stopover with meal deal, restaurant virtually empty, waited 5 minutes until guy appeared behind the bar and shouted to bring a menu to the bar and he would advise what was available, as they had no one who could use a grille most of the menu was off, starters were an overcooked mess, lasagna was cold slop with tiny salad, meat pie was inedible with chips like shrapnel, advised to complain to check in desk but the check in guy was so miserable we didn’t bother. Advise to avoid all the Epsom premier inns as they are all terrible, rooms and restaurants. Holiday inn from now on
