The best restaurants serving British food in South East

Have walked the dog that way for a good while, so glad to find Carats had not changed. Still has to be the best breakfast outside and possibly inside of Brighton. Great for quality and value. Oh for all the bad reviews yes at busy times you do wait, yes the cutlery is you get it yourself the table isn't pre prepared for your visit. In the summer sit outside and enjoy .

Se decidió por el tocino y Brie ciabata y preguntó sin salsa de arándanos. Me dijeron que las ciabatas estaban listas. Así que obviamente no son frescos. Así que de todas las ciabtas y sándwiches están hechos y tienen mayonesa y salsas. Tristemente no puede tener ninguno. Iré a otra parte en el futuro. Muy triste...

Fui el 05/03 con mi familia de Australia, y cenamos. La comida era genial y disfrutado - gracias chef Louie. El servicio era genial y estábamos muy contentos con el servicio - gracias Georgia y Charlie. Nos lo pasamos muy bien.

Met friends for breakfast on Sunday 16th Feb. Shown to our table. Teas and coffees ordered and breakfast ordered. Breakfast was delivered very quick. But could have been hotter. Only disappointing problem was the grilled tomatoes served on the vine which were a battle to separate and squarted on the table. Would be better with a half grilled tomato.

Very disappointed, family came over from England & I said how good the food was but it was a disappointment for £200. The turkey roast tasted like processed turkey, the pie of the day was chicken & bacon, should have been called carrot pie with a hint of chicken, the dirty fries with chicken, the chicken was so overcooked it was inedible as it was so hard, the turkey burger was the same dry as a bone. Extremely disappointing.

the food is tasty i love it it was food friendly i enjoyed it. good food and dessert im happy good staff and I'm definitely coming back. thank you.

Had a mix grill and was perfect no complaint at all everything was tasty and good service was fast and staff really friendly A pleasure to visit

There’s a very strong meat smell when you walk in. Very off putting. Toilet didn’t work so that was embarrassing, quite cold, coffee poor to moderate , really needs more warmth, no smells and approachable staff, I felt like a stranger except for 1 lady who was lovely and the only reason I stayed because of her. It was pretty cold so I wasn’t in the best of spirits. I felt nice when I left so it’s not a bad experience- it’s that sharp meaty smell that threw me (I’m vegetarian). I used to live in Stockbridge and was brought up in marsh court next to the infamous and gorgeous river test and live at Langtry house (was called Hermit Lodge) on the brought on road

Absolutely disappointed as I looked on the website for disabled facilities, it states disabled accessibility in pub and disabled accessibility toilet. We got here and there was a step at the front door, making it impossible to get over the threshold, mu husband had to lift my chair in with me in it! The tables are not tall enough for me to sit under in the chair and the toilets were not big enough for a disabled person or a wheelchair , neither were the door ways wide enough. Making it dangerous for me to transfer from wheelchair to toilet. Totally unacceptable. Loved the food and the bar maid but not fair about the rest. Please make some changes.

Staying here for work. Do not book room 105. Noise is unreal people shouting all you can here is the womens toilet hand dryer going all night aswell room 203 much much better why you would have rooms so close to toilets ill never no

We came for Sunday lunch with friends and a baby. The staff were fantastic, and nothing was too much trouble. The roast dinner was to die for! Fresh, properly home made, and large portions! The new owners are doing a brilliant job, and it’s lovely that chef came to see how we were and to help my veggie friend with any questions. We can’t wait to visit again soon!

Stopped off for a coffee at 3.30 and found they were already putting the chairs up on the tables, when I questioned it I was told they wanted to get home before it got dark??? There is something seriously wrong with customer service these days.

Breakfast was cold in places service terrible some of the breakfast was missing and staff was useless had to complain when I pointed out the sausage was cold in middle looked like it was from yesterday
