Fantastic hospitality, great beers. need to come back to try the food!
What a great little cafe
Found it by chance on Sunday, after our walk along the canal
Great service , great food , all cooked fresh.
Very friendly and welcoming .very cute salt & pepper pots
Lovely young lad, who looked like it was his first day, but was doing a sterling job
Can highly recommend
A nice cafe, friendly service, centrally located in Uckfield High Street.
I purchased a bacon and cheese omelette with chips and salad. The omelette was nicely cooked but the chips were a little overcooked.
The cafe seats around 40 people indoors and approx. 20 people outdoors.
The venue also has a customer toilet that was in reasonable condition.

What a disappointment! Booked a table of 7 for my daughter’s 13th birthday over a month ago. Notified they were ‘running out of dough’ so we couldn’t all have pizzas, only for a friend and her family of 4 who walked in off the street 5 minutes later to all order pizzas.
No offer of a discount, no explanation…just utterly poor service and management. What pizza restaurant runs out of dough?!?
How refreshing to find a good old fashioned Indian nearby 🥳 so many have tried to reinvent themselves with swish lighting and sterile looking furniture- not Raja. It’s just what I like from an Indian- traditional Indian decor (please don’t do any swish upgrades), welcoming staff who knew their menu v well and made some good suggestions when ordering- smartly dressed, some wearing bow ties, great Cobra beer, the food tasted sooo delicious and was perfect and served quickly. Couldn’t fault it - plus the price was reasonable and probably best value in the area too. Could there have been a bit of Indian music in the background? Maybe there was. If not that’s the only suggestion I can make. Brilliant place for a traditional Indian restaurant feel! I will be back with no hesitation. Thoroughly recommend it 👍🏼✅ 🍺
A welcoming atmosphere in a cosy setting and very attentive staff who are perfectly pleasant and clearly passionate about their industry. Most importantly the food has an authentic Italian taste and is deliciously good. Portion sizes are generous and if anything in my opinion underpriced, certainly reasonable. Definitely a restaurant to put on your list in the Southsea area.
Thank you for lovely evening.
My favourite Thai. A family run business, I’ve been going there for 15 years. Food is always fresh and tasty. Doesn’t look or taste over sweetened or artificially coloured. They use fresh aromatic herbs. As well as the usual staples, Thai noodles and curries, they have some great special dishes on their menu. 😋

Been here a few times since we moved to the area, very good selection of food, not just fish and chips, but burgers and kebabs.
Very decent portions and good quality.

After previously giving 5 stars, returned to enjoy the delicious food but totally disappointed, food now uninspiring, bland and no longer 100% vegan. £7 for a hash brown with a smear of mayo and some chive sprinkled of top was a joke!
I don’t often leave reviews but we have just left This Ancient Boro and I feel I need to tell everyone how amazing our tapa was. We had 8 plates and we both commented on how delicious every single one of them was. I can’t recommend highly enough, the food was excellent and Sarah was amazing was well worth the trip 🥰
