Siam Thai in Worthing

I dined here with my partner a couple of weeks ago and it was absolutely lovely! Really fantastic food, lovely staff and a really relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be coming here again!

Cannot fault the food We booked for 7 pm there was 2 couples in there already, 8 pm came the other 2 couples were gone, the guy serving put the closed sign on the door, was constantly asking if we was finished. Felt very uncomfortable, he was not very inviting or friendly at all. He made it very obvious he wanted to go home. Won’t be going back

Absolutely delicious, every dish came out freshly cooked and all together so no one was waiting while someone else was eating as I find that can happen when in Thai restaurants. Lovely traditional family run little business, we went mid week and it was packed so I would recommend booking a table. The details around the restaurant makes you feel like your in Thailand. The food was... incredible. Photos attached to the review so you can see how amazing it really was. Sizzling beef was yummy, masaman curry was incredible. We also had pad Thai which was of course again amazing. We also had the platter, delious! For some who has been to Thailand 4 times and enjoys the food and culture, I will 100% be going back.

Recommended by friends we were looking forward to our meal. We were greeted and shown to our table which had been booked for us. The stsrters arrived fairly quickly and were well presented. Sadly my chicken satay was chewy and so only managed one piece. My friends ate the others, so guess it was me!!! I asked the waiter what the difference was between a yellow curry and a massaman as I wanted it mild, he said they are both the same except massaman has potatoes. I wish I had checked the time when we ordered as we waited for around an hour for the food to appear,our booking was for 6.30 and despite not having a dessert or coffees it was 10 ish when we left . We have eaten in many Thai restaurants over the years and I'm sure the owners are delightful but my husband and I felt disappointed in the time waiting for food to arrive and thought the food was not the best we have had sadly. However I am sure our friends might disagree . In a nutshell my advice would be to make sure enough staff are there to cover any bookings.

My friends and I went here for a 'quick' meal before seeing a movie nearby. We arrived in good time, with 1 hour and 45 mins to spare, which would usually be plenty of time to have dinner. Our orders were taken in good time and the starters arrived fairly quickly and were enjoyable enough, nothing special but certainly nice tasting and well presented. Our mains however, took over an hour to arrive. Again, they were pleasant enough but nothing special, the sort of thing you can find in any English Thai restaurant, but nice size portions. But due to the delay we were already passed the start time of our movie and had to bolt our food, go straight to the bar to pay directly and then dash to the cinema. There was only one waiter on despite the restaurant being very busy. It is unacceptable to reap the rewards of a fully booked restaurant without investing in enough staff to ensure it's a pleasant experience for both diners, and the people who work there. I am sure it was not at all great for that one waiter to have to serve the entire restaurant alone!

Exceptional authentic thai, have been many times and never had anything less than brilliant, friendly staff.

My sister and I found this place late on Friday night. Even though it was later the manager welcomed us in with a smile and we weren’t rushed in anyway. The food was amazing as was the service. It’s a lovely family run place, sisters and brothers. We loved the food and atmosphere so much we went back the next night where again we were welcomed in and treated like regulars. Will be going back for sure!

We hadn't booked but were given a table on the proviso that we had to pay by cash as ' fhe card machine wasn't working ' . However I noticed that other people who came in were not told this, so why they said this to us I have no idea. After we finished the starter we then waited 40 mins for the main to turn up. In fact I had to ask for the main to be served. It then turned up within a minute. When we ordered there was only one other table (with 4 people) who were there. A table of 6 and a table of 2 turned up after we had finished our stater, so there should have been no reason for such a delay. My wife's prawn dish has very little flavour, mine was chicken and was very mediocre. Portions for us both were small. We left a 25 pence tip and won't be going back there again.

I visited Siam last night for a meal with my family and it was fantastic as always. They have eased up on the spiciness of the Tom Yum soup, but a request for a few extra chilli's was easy enough. Everyone left happy and satisfied. We will return in the new year!

First time at the Siam Thai Cuisine restaurant, received a warm welcome and was immediately struck by how popular it is with all age groups. There were four young lads, a family of three, Mum, Dad & Daughter as well as some couples and another group of friends. We ordered our drinks and perused the menu which has a good choice of traditional Thai dishes as well as some specials. We had starters of Squid & Satay Chicken followed by Pad Thai with Prawns, all of it delicious and service was very laid back so the whole experience was enjoyable. At the end of our meal we were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the bill was, so we’ll definitely be going back! Highly recommended.

By far my favourite Thai restaurant. The woman who runs it is so friendly and lovely. I won't get Thai food from anywhere else now!!

My wife and I came across this little gem quite by chance. What can I say. Staff and service top notch. So friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely gorgeous. Good portions and so tasty. Atmosphere was lovely too. Are looking forward to our next visit already.

A family run business, with amazing tasting food! Seriously, we all enjoyed our food. A family of 5 adults and 2 kids and the restaurant seated us and treated us perfectly. The Tom Yum soup was honestly - Perfect! Best I've tasted! Everyone loved their mains and highly impressed with the flavour packed food and nice atmosphere.

Had a lovely meal here. The spring rolls, pad Thai, and green curry were full of fresh vegetables, and were excellently seasoned. The service was very friendly and attentive. Will visit again.

We visited last Friday evening dinner for 2 and had delicious entree chicken satay and prawn tempura followed by tasty spicy chicken and coconut rice and a prawn pad Thai. Very happy with our choice of place to dine...

Excellent, home-cooked Thai cuisine that is fresh, full of flavour, and tastes just like it was being served in Thailand itself. Wholeheartedly recommend this place for anyone who wants a family-friendly, genuine Thai food experience in Worthing. Suggest the rib starter, the papaya.salad (with one chilli) and the coconut rice with whichever curry you choose. This is run by a family. Book, because they have a lot of loyal customers for good reason!

Our meal was so authentic, full of flavour and hosted by the elegant Lek who is wonderful at making the guests feel welcome. We had so many dishes so can't get into any individual one but they all hit the mark so you can't miss here.

Welcoming and nice staff but the food was a real disappointment to the degree I felt a embarrassed taking a date there. Just after our food arrived a baby was crying and vomited at a near by table the smell was off putting to the point I lost my appetite. The pork dish was so chewy I wanted to spit it out and the sauce was out a jar bland.I'm very familiar with Thai Food having spent months there in my youth so I was not impressed. The Thai I usually go to was closed on Tuesdays so tried here for a change and based the quality and taste of the dishes I ordered I won't ever go back.

Beautiful food with friendly service. We have been coming here for years as it is such a special place. We have been working our way through the menu and haven’t been disappointed so far. There is a big range of dishes and not everything is spicy, which suits younger diners. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful restaurant. We visit a couple of times a month and have done for over 10 years. The freshest of food. Never had a better Thai. It’s a small family business all cooked fresh so don’t be in a rush. Enjoy!

It was authentic but the covid precautions consisted of staff wearing masks . The cleaning between people leaving and new customers arriving seemed very pre lockdown . Having said that it was fully booked and turning people away the tables were 1-1.5 metres distant

Although you can easily pass it by it is well worth seeking out. Although fairly small they did a great job in coping with a group of 13 . The food was well prepared and exquisitely presented and excellent quality and value. Highly recommended and will be returning

This was the first time I have visited Siam Thai and i will definitely be going back. The food was delicious. The portion sizes were good and we were advised on how much would suit us - and our waiter was absolutely right. It's wonderful value for money. The decor is really cute with old Thai buildings crafted into the walls. It was busy, but we were fitted in and when we went to say goodbye, we were like old friends.

Thai food is my absolute favorite.So I'm always on the lookout for new places to try.I went to the 'Siam Thai' for the first time and wasn't disappointedDelicate, delicious food, to tingle the taste buds was the order of the day.The dining area is small and intimate, and the service friendly and efficient. I will be revisiting this eatery very soon, to get my fix of this amazing cuisine.

Well what can I say...the best Thai restaurant I have been to. Small, cozy, local friendly little gem. So glad to stumble across it. Beautiful food. If the food I have in Thailand next month is half as good I’ll be very happy. I’ll be back for sure!

Great food, good service, great value

Great food, nice atmosphere and affordable prices. Not the last time I'll have my dinner there!

We went out with family for an evening meal, we love going here because it’s good value for money the owner is always very friendly and the food is always good. Three of us had the duck and it was excellent and the other person had a chicken dish which she really enjoyed as well. The restaurant is cosy and in a good location. We will continue to go back there as we know we will eat well and that can’t be said anymore in so many places these days sadly.

We did a walk in after the cinema, looking for a table for 3, as you would expect the staff were very polite and showed us where to sit. We are all great fans of Thai food, my wife and I have been to Thailand many times. No surprises in the dishes we ordered, food was just as you would expect, good natural tastes, well prepared well presented, very tasty. I love a good green curry with steamed rice, I’m not sure you would find better anywhere in Worthing. To be honest, it doesn’t look the most inviting from the outside, get passed that and you’ll be in for a treat. All the staff where lovely, helpful ( my wife is Coeliac) certainly a place we will be going back to.

Went here with a group of friends on a Friday evening. Service was good although quite busy when we arrived. They offer a number of set menus...we chose menu a which comes with a mixed starter - 3 mains with rice and a choice of coffee or ice cream.... good value at £17.95. All the food was served hot and was extremely tasty. Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in the area.

Having read reviews here, and been to Thailand several times myself, I was expecting a great meal, I was very disappointed. Nicely decorated clean restaurant, friendly staff, quickly cooked food but quality of the food wasn't generally good. Tiny place, only 30 covers, no need to book though as the food isn't very good, so even at 8pm on a Saturday night they weren't busy!Tom Yam soup tasted like fruity water, not much flavour at all, no spice in it unfortunately. Satay chicken starter tasted nice, but only a teaspoon of satay sauce provided. The menu says it's BBQ chicken and no mention of peanut sauce, that seemed most odd, it's actually grilled chicken, a very standard satay not as described (fortunately, as that really put me off). Pad Thai tasted nice, luckily not heaps of egg in it, could have done with a couple more pieces of chicken. Prawn with cashew nuts was not as described, I even checked with the waitress as to the contents of the dish as I hate peppers. She said it was like on the menu, just prawns, cashews and onions. Unfortunately it was 50% carrots and peppers! Prawns were lightly battered, they tasted nice, no liquid in the dish so it was sadly very dry. A very salty dish as well, I needed to ask for a glass of water so I could eat it. I managed to pick out the peppers, you could still taste them in the dish though. So annoying when I checked what was in it and still got peppers. No check backs, so no opportunity to tell staff about the issue.Staff prioritise phone orders over restaurant customers, even to the extent of rushing off half way through taking our order just to answer the phone! Not good service!Basil chilli chicken had a nice flavour, plenty of liquid with it too. All in all 5/10, certainly not half as good as authentic Thai food eaten in Thailand. Shame what the menu (and staff) says isn't what you actually get either. We won't bother eating here again.

...but this one is great! I often think Thai is very hit or miss but this is one of the successes. I went today as part of a family and although the restaurant was full, the service was efficient but not rushed.The food was of a very good standard and may be the best Thai I have ever had. Ive lived in worthing for almost a decade and never heard of Siam, but I really wish I had sooner.I had a version of the Thai red curry that was vegan (Pad Pho??) and it was very deeply flavoured. I also tried a bit of my partner's Thai Green curry which was also amazing. Some of the starters (tempura prawns, spring rolls) were quite small, but that doesn't bother me as I prefer a starter to be light before the main.Very reasonably priced food. Starters as cheap as £3-4 and my main was £7.50 and generously sized. I would only have a couple of pieces of advice to the lovely owners:1. It may be easier to state on the menu which dishes are vegatarian/vegan, although allergy information is great when looking at the sheet provided with the menu.2. Provide options for regular or large starters?3. Make sure the website is available online. Great job though. I will definitely spread the word to friends and family and will be back soon.

an impromptu after pub late supper with friends who'd been here before. we wre luck despite the hour it was very busy. what a great find. friendly accurate service with full attention to allergy info at a personal level rather than just on the menu. nice sized portions and full of flavour. we will be going back again.

We were able to visit without booking which was a surprise as the food and ambiance was excellent. We had one of the set meals which was very good.

My wife and I found out the hard way last night that the top rated restaurants seem to get booked in advance! So we ended up meandering round near our hotel and found Siam Thai... They'd just had a table come free, and we took it.

Authentic, friendly and unhurried. Always a pleasure to eat here.

Staff very rude starters came out greasy over cooked but cold worst place I have ever been in my life

We went out for a meal with family some had Tamarind Duck and I had green Thai curry, Everyone enjoyed their meal and felt it was reasonably priced also, Well worth a visit.

My wife and I visited on Saturday evening and the restaurant was full. When our main course arrived 1.5 hours later we were almost pass wanting it! However, a small apology was offered which I think was totally unacceptable when they could have warned us from the time of ordering there would be a delay. The food was ok but small and therefore rather pricey.

Been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. The food is superb and according to my other half is authentic. The service is attentive and friendly even when the restaurant is busy.

As always, the food was really good, the service attentive without being overbearing, we don't eat out often, but when we do this is now our restaurant of choice. Always a pleasure. The best thing about this restaurant is that as someone who can't eat a lot of chilli is the variety. Most Thai restaurants are very heavy on chilli based dishes, this one offers a lot more. Very flavoursome and never bland.
