Although a little quiet the night we were there the food was fantastic. The Pinsa (pizza) was light but crispy, really fresh and just delicious!!! Would thoroughly recommend. Hosts are great, house wine lovely and my children thought the pistachio ice cream was delicious….thoroughly recommend

Pinsaké is an absolute gem! As someone who’s half Italian and has enjoyed authentic Italian cuisine all my life, I was blown away by their Pinsa Bologna. The combination of mortadella, burrata, and pistachios was simply perfect — the best pinsa I’ve ever had! The crust was light and crispy, with just the right balance of chewiness, and the toppings were so fresh and flavorful that I couldn’t stop raving about it. Honestly, it tasted even better than the pinsas I’ve had back home (but shhh, don’t tell my mother)! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a true Italian experience. Will definitely be back!

Lovely venue and the staff are so amazing! Unfortunately I didn’t really find the food to be authentic… I was craving a really delicious proper carbonara but I’m certain this one had cream in it… the portion was also quite small and was a bit bland. The pinsa was pleasant but again, it wasn’t something to write home about… it is hard to make this review because the owner and waiter were lovely! I don’t want to disregard their effort and the lovely venue but I’m just being honest. I think the restaurant is made to suit English tastes, simply and it seems to get great reviews.

My colleague and I went here to eat and I must say as an Italian that the pinsas were really good, the waitress and the chef were very kind. I definitely recommend you try it if you are in the area.

I'm not going to lie. This visit was a bit of a disappointment. Sat down to our table and ordered drinks and starters. I don't know what their version of porchetta is, but it's unlike any porchetta I've ever eaten. The only way to describe it was that it was a wafer thin ham on some greenery and 4 small slices of baguette? I don't know if there are variations of it, but I don't think it was right. Whilst eating our starters, we were asked to move the table as they had a party turn up and needed to push tables together. Maybe a rethink on seating layout is needed. Wife had arancino ragu and lasagne with garlic bread and was happy with both of them. I had the pinsa spalinga. This was very tasty and spicy, so a thumbs up for the pinsa. Unfortunately, for me, the porchetta, shifting the table and waiting 10 minutes for the bill slightly marred the evening for me.

Mixed feelings about it so thought I’d do an honest review. Garlic bread was definitely store brought but can’t ever say it was bad as garlic bread is just good regardless. Bizarrely, all the condiments and drinks were from Lidl, didn’t even hide this fact and gave chilli oil in the Lidl bottle and cans of Lidl own lemonade… I have to say I’ve never experienced that in a restaurant before especially in an Italian! Chilli oil isn’t the hardest thing to make authentically or at least pour into a bottle and pretend… The chips were also definitely just cheap frozen oven chips, probably from Lidl, so that was very disappointing. The pizzas look great, we all had pizza. The nduja was extremely spicy, never had it that spicy before so it made my pizza inedible. The bits it wasn’t on were tasty though. Everyone really enjoyed their pizza though and could tell it was fresh pizza. Everything was very reasonably priced so can’t complain on that part either.

Very good italian restaurant. Speciality: the pinsa ("cousin" of italian pizza) served on a nice chipboard with a pizza slicer, made exclusively with fresh and authentic italian high-quality ingredients. Highly recommend!

One of the best Italian restaurants abroad as per tradition. Let your hosts advise you and you will feel like you are in Italy for a few hours. Very happy to have met them and I hope to see you soon!

Nduja and drinks from Italy just like everything else that is on the menu.

The starters are great, and so are the desserts, but the pinsas really are the stars of the show here! The "pinsaiolo" is a dedicated master of his craft <3 I particularly love the "Norcia" (creamed pumpkin/ guanciale/scamorza) ---seems a weird combination but the coupling of sweet and savoury/smoky is truly a bomb! "Spilinga" is another one of my favourites, a balanced amount of chilli/spicy for those that normally would order a "diavola" when ordering a pizza. If you're a fan of authentic Italian cuisine, PinsaRe is a must-visit. The quality of ingredients, the attention to detail, and the passion that goes into each dish are evident in every bite. I can't wait to return and try more from their fantastic menu! And if you're a wine lover, Laura owner has a well-stocked cellar and a refined selection. I usually prefer to visit mid-week as it's quieter. Would recommend.

Lovely evening spent here. Ordered a bottle of house white wine, was offered a choice. Staff attentive and friendly. Had the aranchine,delicious and the caprese salad also great. Had two different pinsas both amazing. Bought home what we left and equally as nice heated up day after. Lovely to have a family run restaurant. Certainly will be going again. Xx

We have been coming to Pinsarke for years, incredible food, the pinsa pizzas are incredible. Most weeks we get a takeaway and sit on the beach with it. We have had many meals inside also and even for parties. Last year we had 20 people there and they accommodated us so well

This is the best pizza in Portsmouth. The service is great, the food is A-MAZ-ING and the wine list includes your Italian favourites. The Pinsa is soooo good here, the best I've ever had and the desserts are also YUM-MY. My partner goes wild for the tiramisu and I love the tartufo which is so so tasty. We think it is one of the best restaurants in Portsmouth.

We came to Portsmouth for my husband's birthday and booked at Pinsake. EXCELLENT pizza like in Italy, cooked with fresh products. Super friendly staff ❤. I recommend the Tiramisu and the Babá cake 😉. We were so happy with the food and the staff that we had dinner two evenings in a row. Thank you!!

Me and my husband booked a table when "all you can eat" offer was available. The pinsa was really good, you could taste the fresh Italian ingredients! The atmosphere was lovely and Laura was great! We'll definitely go back to enjoy the real Italian food experience! 😋

My friend and I got a takeaway pizza as restaurant was closing . Staff really obliging in taking our order and were happy to give my friend the toppings she wanted and my half the toppings I wanted. Me and my friend were totally delighted with the taste and texture. Seriously yummy. I am going to rate the pizza as one of the best , if not the best I have ever had. I liked the atmosphere also. I was on holiday. If I lived in Portsmouth, Southsea . I would be a regular customer.

Absolutely disgusting service. I received spag bol instead of carbonara so called the restaurant. They informed me the incorrect order had been delivered so I asked if the correct one could be sent. They said no and if I wanted it I’d have to collect!! How is this good customer service! 1st time using and will not be using again.

Full score food taste and full score service. Due to the rush to catch the return train, I made a proposal to take away. Thank you very much for packing for us immediately. We successfully caught the last train of the day. Due to my poor English, I'm not sure if I confused 'soup' with ‘tiramisu’. In the end, I didn’t take away one tiramisu mistakenly and hurried. I'm very sorry. I would like to recommend the delicious food here to others.

We heard good things about this place before deciding to visit and we weren't disappointed. The atmosphere is informal and welcoming, the lady who served us was friendly. We ordered arancini to start, followed by pinsa, which was a large portion. Excellent, home-made, authentic Italian food at a reasonable price. We will definitely visit again.

Myself and my daughter find Raffaele's dough delicious, in both the pinsa and the pizza. We do dine in too but most frequently we go for takeaway of classic Margherita pizzas

The food was excellent, and the service was just perfect for the occasion. The best pizzas in Southea or England. However, we preordered a Tiramisu cake for a birthday, and it was delicious. I am looking forward to the next time.

We ordered Margherita and 4 Formaggi along with a wine. Both pizzas and wine are excellent. Pinsarkè was one of the best restaurants during my England trip.

Great pizza! I have had a house close by for two years but walked past this place until the last month. The decor isn’t inviting. The chairs and tables look uncomfortable, with tables for two through the middle (can’t have a couple conversation when sat in to the middle of a room). It should be big tables in the middle, singles down the sides! Also the lighting is a bit bright. The decor on the walls looks vaguely Italian but collected randomly from the local charity shops and not jumbled together like a traditional trattoria. There is a large amount of wine racking up as decor but totally empty!! They have tried but failed on the decor front! It also has a whiff of bleach as you walk in! Which is a shame as the pizza is incredible and that’s what should hit your senses first. However. The pizzas are the best in the area by a mile. Absolutely delicious! Thin crust and yummy. The red wine is good (the white is not). The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The bill reasonable! What a wonderful little place. It the decor was a bit more authentic, I would have been here far sooner.

Okey restaurant, good choice of wine. Food is mediocre, feel like they did not stick to actual authentic Italian recipes as Carbonara was not made properly.

We all ordered pasta and it was mediocre, yet the pizza looked very good. They didn’t have the macaroni. Upsold the charcuterie board starter without being told the price ( £18.90) 10% service charge.

This is the best ‘pizza’ (although it’s not strictly pizza) in the area. It’s gorgeous, well priced food. The wine selections are modest in price but excellent quality (Valpolicella of course) and if you’ve still got room, there’s some sweet treats prepared freshly with love

This is a great restaurant with lovely staff and delicious authentic food I’ve been multiple times with my friend and every time we’ve had a blast.

PINSARKE 🤩🤩 10 out of 10 recommend really lovely atmosphere and amazing staff as well as yummy, pasta, pizza and my favourite the white truffle. I won a trip to Italy in their raffle a few days ago and I am very grateful, especially because it includes free flights there and back free accommodation with breakfast and it is where the James Bond movie was filmed, very excited. !!!!

When I asked if we could please have that pizza taken off the bill, the waitresses became very intimidating and rude. We all work in customer service and we know what it's like on the other side of the counter, but we feel the way they spoke to us was simply unacceptable. The pizzas were nice, but nothing to write home about, there were no spirits in the bar, the menus were broken and stuck together with sellotape, and the owner was doing her accounts on a laptop in the middle of the restaurant which wasn't a very professional vibe. All in all, a very poor experience - there are so much nicer pizza restaurants in Southsea with absolutely lovely staff so make sure to give this one a miss!

Great pinsa! I couldn’t fault this it was lovely. The carbonara was lacked flavour and tasted like a ready meal version it isn’t an authentic carbonara as you would hope for. Warm atmosphere, despite it being very quiet and friendly host.

Took our booking over the phone, confirmed date and time. Notice in the window when we arrived (after 4 and a half hour journey from Manchester) saying "Closed today, see you tomorrow". No attempt was made by proprietor to contact us to cancel!

Came here with another couple early on a Saturday night. The whole place felt very underprepared for a busy weekend (Great South Run weekend). Firstly two staff struggled for about 3 minutes to find our reservation, it was there, and we had to point it out in the book for them as we could see it looking at the book upside down from a foot away. Once seated we ordered drinks and food as it was a while to wait for the order to be taken, no big deal as it was busy even at this early stage of the night. Our drinks order contained two lemonades and when they arrived we were told there was only one left - it had been loaded with ice and was two thirds full, and completely flat, clearly poured from a supermarket bottle. This probably says more about this place than anything else I’m going to write. We then got told there was only one vegetable lasagne left, again we had ordered two. There aren’t many vegetarian items on the menu, so early on a Saturday this is disappointing. When the food did arrive it did not all come together, and was rather slammed onto the table in a rush by the overly busy waitress who we were feeling sorry for until the abrupt service. The food itself was pretty poor, except for the pizza which was nice. The lasagnes (one beef, one veggie), as previously stated on other reviews, tasted as if they’d been either frozen before or microwaved, even though they came in cast iron containers that had clearly come out of an oven. The other pasta dish tasted ok but again something was not quite right, it was very starchy. Order pizza if you do come here! Whilst all of this was going on, there were clearly people waiting that had reserved but were queueing outside, giving the staff the incentive to rush around as the previous review states. However, we did not really get this service and were just left for a long time with our dirty plates. We wanted to order dessert, but it took the waitress so long to come over and simply greet us with an abrupt “are you done?”, that we just asked for the bill. Overall it was a very underprepared restaurant for a busy Saturday. I can see the restaurant has previously used busy weekends as an excuse for running out of menu items and expect a similarly sarcastic and unprofessional response to this review, but we came in at 6.30 on a Saturday, so only they know how bad it got as the evening and weekend went on. It pains me to admit this, but we asked for the automatically added on service charge to be removed, it was just so poor, and incredibly cheeky to add this to the bill. You’re better off spending a bit more nowadays for an exceptional experience than getting a slightly cheaper mediocre or below experience. We won’t come back here.

We ate here with another couple for a Saturday night out. We had booked a table for 4. After ordering our drinks we were told that we had to move to another table - no choice in the matter. This was to enable a group of 6 to have a table. I assume they didn’t book as otherwise the tables would have been sorted already. We were then sat on a table of 4 but had to sit with 2 on one side and 2 at the end so the staff could get past. This made for an unusual seating plan - and not very sociable. The other shame was that this was right by the door and as I tried to close it on - it was wedged open straight away with no explanation. The pinsa’s were delicious - however our plates were cleared away before everyone had finished and we were rushed throughout. The service charge was then automatically added on! Unfortunately I won’t be eating here again.

I came here with a friend for dinner and will not be returning. I was delighted to see gluten free options although the only main meal I could have was lasagne. I was excited to have this and so disappointed when it arrived as it looked like a very cheap microwave meal. It was tiny so it was just as well I had also ordered a side salad. Sadly I left here hungry and disappointed. What a waste of money.

Fabulous, authentic pinsa and pizza. If you've not heard about pinza , go and try this Roman alternative to the classic pizzas of Napoli. Thin, crispy, cooked to perfection with authentic toppings, it's perfecto! The staff are friendly and enthusiastic about their menu. What great find in Southsea.

The best Italian in and around Portsmouth!!! Their dough is out of this world!!! Service is amazing! The owners are so passionate about what they do and that translates into the incredible food that they serve! Since my partner and I found out about this place a few months ago, Pinsarke has become almost a weekly staple.

Just an amazing food and service! With a proper Italian taste!

Found by accident, best pizza ever (salmon mozorella) , fab red wine, olives to start were divine, great service, even music was great. Authentic Italian, beaufifully decorated, highly recommend!!
