The Best Pub in Thame, in my opinion. Our second visit here when in this area. The friendly welcome, great prices and choice of beers and drinks, all in a traditional English Pub atmosphere is superb. The Ambience is wonderful, choice of food and quirky character is just superb. Outside garden and central location is perfect. We will always visit here when in Thame. Today, I’m not driving and able to sample some real ales. A perfect way to down St George’s day. A pint and a ploughmans with my wonderful wife.

Really easy to find a disabled parking spot ..table by the window …prompt service ..I ordered the roast beef (lamb had sold out) My daughter had cheeseburger and chips with garlic bread young lad brought plate to the table… the dinner was lovely and definitely had proper roast potatoes and that horseradish sauce was excellent..as was my lime and soda (although I think I got lemonade…but it was delicious ).. two complaints 1…I had to leave my plate mid way to get at the bar to get another drink for my daughter bar was busy so my dinner was getting cold.. 2 the beef was very much overcooked for me ..but tbf it’s hard to serve up a med rare slice … but I would still order it again if that horseradish sauce was on the menu Yes we will definitely return Teena & Nikki xx

Stayed in Ferring and visited the Henty arms for dinner. Not only did they serve great food but they had wonderful staff, who were warm and friendly too! Service first rate. This was my second time, I visited last year too and the food was great then too, as were the staff! Great job by the Henty arms, looking forward to visiting again in the summer.

Amazing friendly place, staff, locals (who actually talk to you) & no Wi-Fi so everyone talks to each other. I'm a tourguide and this is my go to now. I also send tourists here. A genuine lovely traditional pub. Definitely the friendliest pub in Oxford city. Very comfy clean new furniture outside - no benches thank God & very comfy seats inside. Superb lovely staff and not expensive like other pubs around them. The Steak & Ale crisps are to die for. A must when in Oxford city. Thank you all. 💚💚 Flossy the Tourguide

We were there for our first visit for a Sunday lunch with family. My view was the pub is really trying to improve itself and it showed for our visit. Not perfect and the Yorkshire puddings reminded me of school! But the roasts were good. enough, the day was perfect, dog friendly, staff friendly and great Harvey’s ale. All in all a very happy visit.

Good and bad. Family had a meal here and my meal was terrible. Had the chicken burger and it must have been deep fried in some dodgy old oil as the colour was almost black and didn't taste any better than it looked. Practically inedible. However, the rest of the family enjoyed theirs. Especially the lamb stew. Delicious! Service was great too. Dog friendly.

I had a solo overnight stay at the Crab and Boar with my dog and there isn't anything I can do to fault the pub/restaurant or accommodation. Ample parking, gorgeous scenery, and everything you need in one space. I had an evening meal which was delicious, the atmosphere is calm and inviting and the staff cannot do enough for you, as a solo this was even more comforting. Breakfast was delicious. The room, we stayed in the scotch room, was cosy, warm and I felt 100% safe, the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was lovely Honestly, you won't regret your stay. It's such a shame they decided to get rid of the hot tubs though!
