Pub is much bigger than it appears, there is a separate building to the rear and a large beer garden. Lovely atmosphere and comfortable to spend some time in. Great pints on tap. Had the tikka masala to eat….could be the best pub curry I’ve ever had!! Tasted fresh and ‘clean’ - really impressed. Prices seemed on a par with those in the local area - not exactly a bargain, but my meal was worth every penny!

Called here for a meal at 630pm we were greeted by , Dominic who was really polite and friendly, we both had Fish and Chips which was excellent we were told we had about 15/20 wait it was actually 10 mins and it was on our table 1st class no complaints at all, I told Dominic I would put this on tripadvisor to which he thanked I don't know what he gets paid as its nothing to do with me but he deserves more.

The whole pub needs a thorough deep clean. Closer inspection it isn’t clean. The floor around the front bar is caked in dirt around the brass bar. Dust is absolutely everywhere, from the picture frames to the ledges upon the walls. The front window ledges have dead bugs, dust and grit on them and they have smudges all over the windows. The door edges are filled with dirt where dirty hands have pushed them open. The ceiling is… well… I’m sure even the staff can see the problem. The toilets in the front bar are also not to a high standard with a thick layer of dust on the sanitary bin, the soap dispensers covered in gloopy soap and the mirror smeared. The doors and handles to the toilet doors are caked in dirt along with the edges of the tiled floor. And each time I have been the toilets they have been blocked in some way, It isn’t clean. I have came to visit a few times over the last few months and after the 5th visit it was time to write a review, thinking some changes would be made but they haven’t. The food is tasty but it isn’t particularly anything special. The burgers are actually white small for the price and the fact it only comes with chips is quite disappointing for the price. Honey and mustard mini sausages just taste of honey - no mustard. The drinks are one of the highest in Thame and considering the service is quite distant and not very friendly, you’d expect a premium setting with premium drinks and food. The garden however is great and a good size. Nicely maintained. Love the atmosphere and choice of music but the cleanliness lets it down. Update: Visited once more after quite a long time of not going here and can confirm that it is still exactly the same. No change to the cleanliness, service and food. Just to prove the lack of cleanliness - the white doors in the back bar which staff come in and out of has a thick layer of black dirt along the bottom of the door which is where most likely a mop runs along the bottom every now and then.

We ordered two of the Sunday Roasts, Beef and Leg of Pork. Each plate had a meagre serving of gravy but having been to Peach Pubs before we fully expected to be offered more part way through our meal. as well as some more roast potatoes. We were wrong! We were warned that the plates were hot, which is more than be said of the greens, which seemed to have been cooked earlier in a microwave and left to cool. The Yorkshire puddings were bone dry; they might have been edible had there been some gravy with them. Both servings of meat were generous and nicely cooked, but they could not save what was a poor value for money meal. A check back did happen, shortly before we finished, and were offered gravy as well as an apology.................. but all too late.

Pub quite pleasant, unfortunately food wasn't. Had their special Jerk chicken burger which was very poor, little meat and didn't live up to the description. Wish I'd inspected the burger before as I would have taken it back. When asked if our meal was OK I mentioned my burger was poor and the guy that served us just seemed to shrug their shoulders. I later heard my partner had had a similar experience a while ago and wouldn't go back. I think if the guy had acknowledged the problem I could have given them the benefit of the doubt, but would't now go back.

Not been here for a while, last time was I here was in the marquee during Covid. Came here for a quiet drink and catch-up with a friend, good beer and friendly service. Atmosphere was good although some of the customers at the bar were getting louder as they drank, which made it harder to have a conversation. Over £6 a pint, London prices in Thame? Update Christmas Eve 2023. Super friendly staff as usual. Still expensive. Served in plastic glasses. Asked for a Bloody Mary and was told they are not doing cocktails. Guess a vodka and tomato juice is a bit complicated. Ho ho ho. Still a nice venue but losing the customer centric focus over convenience?

First things first, as soon as I came through the door the staff were incredibly friendly. The place had a great vibe with music (not too loud) playing and a very cosy open log burning fire. The food had a really authentic and home cooked feel. A fantastic choice of hand pulled ale on offer. Would definitely recommend.

A fabulous centre-of-town pub, with a great menu, and a wonderful attentive young front-of-house team. My wife and I popped in mid/late summers Sunday afternoon and enjoyed a wonderful roast dinner (although tempted by the burger menu). The food was hot, and did not take too long to arrive and was so nice I forgot to take a picture (sorry)! Plenty of seats in the main part of the pub, and a large seated area at the back. There is a good wine and gin menu as a reasonable selection of beer and cider, parking can be found easily in Thame, perhaps bar on market day. We will be back, and fab afternoon, was had on Dec 23..

So pub 4 on our crawl down the high street in Thame and my only feedback or criticism would be the prices! A pint of ale and a 0% gin and tonic was £11 which seemed a little excessive. We also ordered the ploughman’s which was served on a large wooded board. This was the best ploughman’s we have had when dining out. Huge slab of cheddar, 3 thick slices of proper ham, a whole scotch egg with a runny yolk and some relishes. Really good value too. Also, they serve an excellent pint of real ale!

Four of us had the Sunday roast, 3 beef and 1 pork. The portions were large, with yorkshires, roasties and vegetables. The pork was fine but the beef was very chewy we were given a choice medium or well done, we opted for well done but it was very rare. Not the best roast by a long shot and sad if this is, to quote their slogan, ‘the best Sunday roast in Thame’.

Menu looked ok, chose the burger with stilton. You would not know it had seen any stilton. We were asked if we wanted any sauces before we got the food, how do you know really at that point? Not even so much as a slice of tomato for garnish, or anything in the burger other than the burger, which to be fair was nice, albeit rather small. It looked rather lost on the plate, and uninteresting, you can't run a tab. Chips were nice! Didn't bother with dessert as we thought we'd be disappointed again. Definitely overpriced.

Which I did, could not have a tab so had to order two drinks and food pay and sit down. Real ale selection was poor in my opinion (no regular ales) which I asked the bar person for their opinion which they did not have one, and the beer was not to my liking so a wasted second pint too. Food was not brilliant and had to ask for condiments after food was served. Got the idea staff were, ore interested in speaking with themselves at the bar.
