The best restaurants serving British food in South East

Took my children here for some lunch today and would rate it more stars if I could. I have a child with adhd and one with autism, the gentleman who served us was amazing with them. He made us all feel comfortable and we didn't feel rushed to choose. All our orders were individual and the waiter was so patient, we received our food quickly and everything was perfect. The food was delicious and the portion size was generous. My infant child was given small/child sized cutlery as well which was a lovely personal touch. The prices were very reasonable too, after we had finished, our table was cleared quickly and the children were given a lollypop. We really had a better experience here than we have at alot of other restaurants, big and small. Highly recommend and will be dining here again. Thankyou

Really unique restaurant with a welcoming feel and clearly has lots of exciting events going on throughout the year. We enjoyed our food and drink and the portions were really generous. I only wish we had had room for dessert!

Gingerbreads is the best cafe around. Our business is based round the corner from Gingerbreads and we often visit for lunch/brunch and afternoon snacks! Food is scrumptious. I would personally recommend their chicken caesar salad. The cakes and cookies they have are delcious! High end service the staff always go the extra mile and are super friendly. I have also had their grazing boxes for a girls day out - quality produce and reasonable prices i would never use anywhere else if i needed an event catered for. Thank you Gingerbreads!

Set in beautiful rural surroundings, The Walnut Tree offers a warm idyllic charm quintessential to the British pub. A beautiful beer garden, warm and cosy interior, totally amazing food and a great pint. Dog and family friendly. Always a good welcome at this home away from home 🏡 🍺

Fabulous cafe in Oxted ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Friendly staff and good service. We were both delighted with our breakfast choices. Good selection on the menu. Cafe atmosphere is Lekker! Will most definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

Visited for brunch for a birthday celebration. Food was outstanding - chicken and waffles, pancakes and steak and eggs. Fabulous service from Abbie 👌

Always a smiley welcome for me and hubby. Mannings may not be the prettiest, most updated joint around, but it's very reasonably priced, and they use tasty spuds, so the chips are always yummy, whether crispy or not! They are always happy to cook something fresh too. Fish is always excellent! Portions are huge and as a result of the price is therefore excellent value! We try to limit ourselves to once a month, as we should watch the takeaways, but the draw is sometimes too great!

Such a lovely, lovely place where you feel so welcome that it's like visiting family. But a family that makes fabulous cakes & scones! One of the very nicest cafés in MK. I just love it here.

Deserves five stars all round but the prices have shot up, I understand the cost of utilities have gone up, but if I’m paying those prices I may as well go to ocean village and have a view and a toilet that’s accessible to my disabled wife

The tavern has long been a favourite for our family and when my dad died aged 91 we decided to hold farewell drink at the tavern. I rang Phil and he was happy to oblige us. We had a cold buffet and drinks. We all enjoyed the buffet and (amongst other beers) the Brains SA went down too well judging by the final tally. Think everyone enjoyed themselves. Phil thank you and your team for being so helpful, friendly and patient.

Met here for a 70th birthday service was efficient and the food was good. Light airy local pub work lovely walks around the area.
