Wow! I absolutely love this micro brewery, excellent ale…. So husband says as I had the rubarb cider! Yummy!!!😋 There was an excellent singer on whom I have neglected to remember his name, I’m not sure if it is my aging memory or the cider. 🍺 We will definitely be back more often.

Fantastic little venue for drinks/food/music. Dogs warmly welcomed and space for overnight campers/caravans (with prior permission). Staff are super friendly the atmosphere is great.

I can't recommend this lovely place enough. It is a little gem. A great place to visit as a family. Lots of great games to keep the kids occupied why you enjoy a drink and the live music. I love the chilled out atmosphere that the owners have created. Keep up the good work, you are smashing it.

Just got a new to me camper, for a first night out we thought we would try The Doghouse Micro Pub Booked in with Duncan who registered us with the 24 hour security and then we settled in to eat and have a few beers whilst listening to live music. We could not have been looked after better. Great food and great beer - the music was a terrific bonus. Thank you so much!! (On the camper front - water and 24 hours toilets, together with reassuring security make this an amazing camp over - especially if you are heading over on the Chunnel)

Highly recommend this stunning microbar, this is the best place in Kent. Book to avoid disappointment, this is a very popular place. The food is lush, and the service is off the scale. It's clean and tidy as well which is a great plus, I would travel the 25 miles to this beautiful place rather than 5 miles locally. Opening times are clearly displayed on their website page. They do close at certain points of the day, but come on guys, if they didn't rest for a few hours, we wouldn't get the perfection they give!!!!. If you want to eat here and they are near to closing time, speak to the owners Duncan and Claire, they will always try accommodate their customers old and new. Found this place on line and thought it was worth a visit. Arrived approx 2pm and was being picked up 5pm. Website listed hours and says open all day. At 3pm we were told that they will be closing shortly. When we asked why as website clearly states open all day as well as we were being collected later, we just got the shoulder shrug and tough luck treatment. Also there was only one ale on which was ok but not great. Being under the heading of micro pub I wouldn’t recommend this place to real ale drinkers.

Looking for a pub car park stop over in our 9 meter motorhome after crossing the tunnel, we had passed two that claimed “ample parking” but unaware you must be able to now buy smart car motorhome and not owning one we persevered, only to drop on this absolute gem of a place. Located on a very smart commercial / retail park, with massive parking, dog walks with foul bins, amazing views, the location was second to none. The venue was, as its name suggests dog friendly, the drinks were well selected and very welcome after 3 months in Europe ! The decor was as funky and inventive as it comes, and the street food was delicious. Well done everyone you have got every element correct on what customers expect, see you same time next year

Super evening at the DH Vinyl Bar and pub. The amazing Vinyl Voyage doing his magic with vinyls (I could have listened to him all night). At our table we had burgers, a wrap and a pizza, all highly recommended and we will be back for that. Hop Fuzz Lager and great wine off course helped the evening along too. Last but not least, such lovely staff, smiling and happy and couldn’t do enough. PS. Special Ketcup and Mayo sachets deserve a mention too!

Had an amazing evening at this great pub! It was my mum’s birthday and she loves live music. Sam brothers the folksinger was performing. We had a loverly family meal whilst listening to great music. When I booked out table I asked if I could bring a birthday cake which was no problem. The staff went above and beyond bought my mums cake out after our meal with candles lit and had even asked the singer to sing happy birthday. My mum was made up such a nice gesture. Without dout the best place to go around Ashford. Thank you to all for making our evening!

We love coming to see Claire and Duncan, they have created such an amazing space, the atmosphere is just lovely, and customers become friends. In the summer we sit outside and we bring our dogs along who are always welcome. Great music, smashing people and one of our favourite little places, a must if you are in the area.

Looked forward to eating here. Quite small place and most tables taken. One on service and one in kitchen. Very slow service. Got ignored for some one else after about 10 mins and got passed again. Pointed out was I being ignored. Stated they were busy. So I left. Wont be back , employ more or learn to run a bar... D

Popped in tonight for a quick pre-weekend drink. One of my most favourite places ever! Where to even start - the atmosphere, the setting, the service, the vinyls, the fabulous black board ‘rules’, the range of drinks, the wonderful smelling and looking food . Duncan and Claire are simply the best hosts

Wow! This place is a hidden gem ... all you want in a pub... great atmosphere, great food and the landlord is very welcoming we went on a Thursday and it was open mike night Wasnt too loud as to smother the place with sound, and was pure entertainment AND... the chips are to die for... cooked to perfection great choice of food... go there today!!!

We are Scooter Club of all ages and meet on a regular basis every Mount. We had herd of the Dog House and chose to have a meet there and my god what a brilliant Chose. From the moment we all arrived the Landlord and staff was amazing friendly polite and nothing was to much trouble. We Range from our 18 to 80 years and that not a easy bunch to please. Fantastic beers and Coffee and the Bowls of Chips cooked to perfection and believe me we know good chips. This place is a little gem in a amazing little place. They was a open Mike night that was for all tastes, with out doubt this will be a little local for us.

Cosy spot for some food and drink. Good selection and all reasonably priced, especially for the size of the portion! Really friendly and attentive staff, and dog friendly too. Would definitely recommend the Mac & Cheese and the Caramac brownie :)

The dog house is a wonderful location. We were there last night for our friends 50th birthday. The pub has recently extended, which is great as it was, at times, difficult to get a table there. I recommend anyone in the Ashford area to visit the Doghouse, you won't be disappointed.

We've always loved The Doghouse but now with the new extension and stage it's even better. It was good to see it so busy with lots of smiling faces enjoying the food, drink and music. Very happy atmosphere with great staff Always assured of a friendly welcome whether a regular or occasional visitor. Dogs welcome too and all very well behaved!

Perfect atmosphere for families. Delightful location and superb hospitality. Local ales and food. First visit on recommendation. Went to celebrate a birthday with my family and it was really excellent and the whole evening was excellent value for a really nice time.

A Hidden Gem Worth Every Praise! I'll start by saying that I believe in honest reviews. Friends, Duncan and Claire, along with their lovely family, own this place. Plus, my son works here. That being said, I would never write a review I didn't wholeheartedly mean. The Dog House, in my opinion, is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is good honest pub grub, and the beer selection is outstanding. It's a refreshing change to visit a place where you can simply enjoy yourself without any reservations. Duncan and Claire, the owners, are "real" people who genuinely care about what they do. Their passion and patience shine through in every aspect of this establishment. Well done to you all for creating such an amazing place!

I had lunch here with my two children. Food and drink were very nice. Service was really good despite it being busy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be back as we want to try out the Pizzas! There is a good choice of local beers to choose from. Great atmosphere and feel about he place. It's a happy place to eat. Would highly recommend.

Not sure where to start, as everything about this pub is 5*. The fab pub is just oozing with atmosphere & great food. It’s always such a good night out, weather for the live music, crazy bingo nights, quiz night, there’s something for everyone. Now made bigger, to cater for demand, if you haven’t visited you really need to try it.

I stopped here for a Sunday afternoon dinner with 5 adults and two kids, on route home from a weekend away. Lovely atmosphere with live music. Friendly and accommodating staff. Food was lovely and well priced. Blessed with the weather we were able to sit in the nice courtyard outside. Plenty of parking. Thanks.

Lovely little micropub with friendly staff and patrons (human and doggo!). Beers were well kept, with a good selection of drinks and snacks available. Delighted to find toiletries and sanitary products for all available in the loo. We will be back!!!

Fantastic beer-led and vinyl pub on a countryside business estate. Friendly staff, excellent range of drinks (not just beer!), comfy seating and record player with good selection of records to play. Looking forward to a longer return visit!

Stayed overnight in the motorhome on way to France. Had pre booked one of the spaces. Had a lovely night, fantastically looked after by Claire and her team. Such lovely people. Enjoyed a good few pints of their lovely real ale along with very tasty...

Ordered the falafel wrap to takeaway... needed more tsatsiki as it was quite dry... parking was interesting!! The signage confused several people. Editing to reply... also ordered the lamb kofta and both came with chips. It was hot, nice to see stokes dips... maybe it did hit the 4* "liked it" vs 3* "it's OK" level. Didn't mark you down for the parking just wanted others to note- head left when first approaching!

We've been to The Doghouse on 5 or 6 occasions recently and simply cannot fault them. The staff greet you like old friends. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, simple fare. We've been to comedy nights, music nights and just sat in the courtyard in the sun. Our little jack Russell is made as welcome as us. Win. Win

Booked a table for Thursday evening which was confirmed, turned up no reservation was then told it was a quiz night, was offered a table by the door, then went to close the door as cold, was told he would come over and reopen again if we were to close it, then said to friend shall we go somewhere else and was told yes I suggest you do! Would definitely not recommend this establishment. If I could give zero stars I would Response to reply - Lucky to be in a position to have that attitude with so many establishments closing daily!

Very warm welcome for 2 new visitors. Excellent food and service

Unfortunately despite being a ‘Britstop’ motorhomes are no longer welcomed by the site owners, lovely meal and welcome in the pub last night but despite registering we were ordered off site by an officious small guy this morning, apparently only one motorhome or camper is allowed on site during the week and three on weekends, but you apparently ‘must’ leave by 8am even if you had wanted to stay and shop or have a meal or coffee. No signs to that effect. The guy claimed he was the ‘site secretary’ but we think he meant site security! He even attempted to open our van door until our dog warned him off. A shame we enjoyed coming here.

If you're a car fanatic then this is the place to go! No burnout or doughnuts but a genuinely nice car community with a variety of vehicles and the staff are super friendly too. Probably the best place to go for relaxing, food and to meet people. 100% Recommend.

We attended the bingo night and it was such fun! Hannah was the bingo caller and had everybody joining in! The food was Incredible and the owners were so lovely. An amazing local business and we've already booked in for the next bingo night!!!
