wonderful place, came here after tiring and disappointing day of fossil hunting and the service and food just blew new life in me. unforgettable and can't wait to return again.

2 medium Cod, 2 chips, battered sausage with a mushy pea pot and a curry sauce…..£28!!!! Oh, and then 30 pence for a bag. What is the world coming to. Chips were ok, you get a massive amount in a paper bag, well cooked, but you have to beg for a reasonable amount of salt and vinegar. The Cod was cooked perfectly, but, here it comes, totally tasteless, bland , the Cod and batter just tasted of nothing. Battered sausage was cheap, again, tasteless and bland, I mean the whole thing just tasted of nothing. What’s it coming to, you can’t get a decent Cod and chips anywhere. Takeaways churn out this garbage and we are just supposed to suffer it. The people that work in the shop are friendly, the shop is clean , but it’s just not real fish and chips, the Cod was, in all likelihood frozen. Bring back proper Fish and Chips.

Went there around Christmas with the family. Our server, Zara, was extremely friendly and helpful, and really made the experience. Would definitely go again!

Had a fantastic breakfast perfect eggs and avocado on toast. The cappuccino was the real surprise though!...smooth, creamy, and just really well made. Such a nice find in the heart of Charlbury!

Great place to sit for a coffee or food. Staff always helpful and happy, food is great and price is good. Plenty of seating inside plus extra outside, very clean whenever I've been in and service is quick.

Very very average. Went on a Sunday so basically a choice of roasts. Starters were fine. Wife ordered fish as she doesn’t eat meat and the sea bass was served as one whole fish, not filleted and head still in situ, eyes gazing at her. Very off putting and unappetising. Service was okay, a little slow. Rest of the food was acceptable for the cost. Would not return.

Local social club feel. Great staff friendly place. Cheap beer great to watch football.

Only one in bar and a bar person ignored me for two minutes so I asked if they were open and got told could I wait a minute! Not exactly busy were they and when I did get served she didn’t even say thanks ! The beach at Romney sands is full of litter maybe the holiday camp could get some people to do a litter pick as most of the rubbish was from their children’s stuff they sell in the show bar

Really poor service all round and equally poor quality food. We booked for a very special 80th birthday afternoon tea but unfortunately it turned out to be anything but special. The outside grounds were nice though.

We decided to try Happy Garden, while we're on holiday. The staff were very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. A+++++
