Golden Fry in Aylesbury Vale

Always good, been using them for many years

Ordered food for delivery tonight, at 7.15pm, they said that it was going to be about an hour wait. The food didn't arrive until 9.15pm, and when we opened it, it was completely soaked in grease. Not as great as they used to be!

We’ll be switching fish and chips shop now we’ve tried Golden fry. We normally go to chip and co but we’ve found a new fav!

Great portions, a large Cod and large Chips was enough for the wife and I and some for the cats. Nice too

My order was £40 worth. Came home with food for me and my family, we opened our food to find it looking like leftovers from the day before. How disappointing. I wanted to give no stars but it won't let me

Very disappointed pointed today as regular cod was absolutely tiny and was just over half the size of a standard kitchen knife and they also got the pie wrong too. Asked for steak and kidney and was given chicken. They did rectify the problem quickly but still disappointed with the second piece of cod as it was over done. First mistake in years. I just hope it doesn't continue with cost of living as prices have gone up and expect the same quality.

Good nice take away. Plenty on offer on the menu. Always cooked fresh as you wait. They do do delivery's if you want to

As ordering on a regular basis it's finally time to write this review, the whole of the Golden fry Aylesbury are amazing at what they do, never seem to fail, food is great, always polite and friendly. Thank you guys keep on doing what you do.

Best chip shop in Aylesbury by a mile off. Family run, good portion sizes and delivery driver is always friendly and efficient. I enjoy ordering from here weekly. Thanks to the team at top friars

I paid 9 pounds and oder fish and chips at the Golden fry in Aylesbury today.when i bought it home, I noticed they had given me yesterday fried and leftover chips. they can't be eaten by humans. they are unpleasant to look at . How can you make up your mind to give junk food for people to eat.

Tried large cod and chips, the fish was so unbelivably gressy and oilly even after so much wrapping and a paperbag the oil seeped through and covered my leather car seat in oil, left a horrible taste i had to discard it all, the chips were a joke too, stale and old aswell as being so cold i threw them away too, paid nearly £9 this is worse chippy i been too at least give fresh fries !!

Food is lovely however when asking prices after seeing online they do pizza Monday to Friday £7.99 I was told this has never been a thing and it isn’t there website when all the details online give the correct address and telephone number, awful customer service from management. Going where I am treated with respect and not passed off

Lovely fish and perfect crispy chips delivered hot. Pizza nice and hot to and very tasty. Has a good service and fair prices.

First time of going to this chippy and Placed a simple order and they never got that right. I asked for 2 regular fish and chip and a small portion of chip got home and had 2 fish and a portion of chips. I will never come here again

This is one of my favourite chippys in Buckinghamshire. The staff here are attentive, cool and have best customer service. They make the best fish and chips in town, which I would recommend and the kebabs are not too bad. They are not on justeat etc so you have to call to order delivery is extra fee but £1.50. Food comes hot. Also you can make your order and collect. Timings have changed due to covid do open from 4-9pm weekdays and Saturdays I think. #DearLocal

while I do recommend this place as its great, the service last night was horrendous. I rang up and put an order in at 6:15pm was told ready in15 minutes so got there just after 6:30 and was told 5 minutes. it was a large order. 20 minutes later still not ready asked the lady again how long and again 5 min. After 50 min of waiting we finally got our order with the curry sauce missing but I wasn't going to ring up and wait an hour for curry sauce. I said to lady that this wasn't on and she replied saying they ran out of kebab meat so had to cook some. Fair enough but you would have known you was low when I called up and could have advised us, I did say do we get a discount for waiting so long which she said no because they have been very busy. here is an idea in future, don't keep taking orders after orders after orders (about 10 people went in and ordered while we waited) fulfill the orders you have already taken and put them first, don't do the easy orders first. If your running low on something advise people. really disappointed with the service received last night and to top it off the kebab pitta bread was also rock hard. This WAS an award winning fish and chip shop but the customer service is really starting to let it down, think quality over profits in future.

Big portions, always hot and fresh

We are regular users of golden fry and are consistently very happy with the food and service A1. Staff are great, delivery is quick and the food always fresh and hot. Not just fish and chips but the pizzas and kebabs are amazing

I use to love my kebabs from Golden Fry however the last few times the food has arrived cold and the chicken has been very gritty. They also hang up the phone while you are placing an order.

Try the chicken wrap. It was super extra delicious. The chicken was so nicely made, not greasy at all. Very polite staff 10 stars. I don't usually go to fast food places as they're normally greasy but this place amazed me. I'll be back soon

Have never had a bad meal here! Once they got our meal wrong and they were quick to rectify it and another they forgot our order and again they were quick to rectify. Highly recommend and we wouldnt go anywhere else.

When we started ordering from the Golden Fry it was lovely. Unfortunately, the last 3 have not been good. We will not be ordering again.

I have been a regular customer of the Golden fry and usually order on the phone for delivery. I have not been able to get through to place and order, i mentioned this to them 2 weeks ago by going in to the shop, I have tried again today for over an hour and still can't get an answer the phone rings, but it does not get answered. Not good enough, I will not be using the Golden Fry again, Very Poor.

Fish delivered tasted awful. quality gone to bottom recently, will never buy again., waste of money.

Best fish & chips in Aylesbury.

Compared to other takeaways in Aylesbury this is by far one of the best. Service is always quick and the portion sizes are very good for the prices they charge.

Chilli sauce is probably too hot and cooking oil seems to repeat on us. Otherwise vefy good

Ordered sausages and meal deal (pizza, doner and chips). The smell when it arrived was terrible - think the oil had not been changed for weeks. I could feel and smell it in my stomach for the next two days. Pizza - Congealed and horrible.(Imagine all that fat around your Heart !) £25 QUID - Most of it went in the bin. I wonder if this place has been taken over as the food used to be good years ago. Never again AVOID

The best chips in town. The queue can take a while on busy Friday nights, but that's to be expected.

Expect slight delay as they make 95% food straight on order which takes around 5 mins to cook good place to eat children and everyone as for new filtration system all products pans filtration system is same for all except burgers and kebabs

Never had a bad meal. Chips are lush and plentiful, it's what brings me back each week. Staff are always polite. Definitely one of the better, if not the best chippy's around. Area is undesirable but you can't have everything.

Always hot, fresh and good portions

This place never fails to serve up the best fish and chips in Aylesbury. We live on the other side aylesbury so have tried other places but they just don't compare! It's never greasy, it's always fresh and portions are huge. The pizzas are also great value - fully loaded and a great selection. The guys that run golden fry and are always friendly and very well mannered. We've given up trying other fish and chip shops - this is our favourite and we are sticking with it!

Waited one and half hours for food but still has not arrived . Good food when you collect it , but delivery service is not good at all .

The best chicken kebab for me in Aylesbury... plain chicken with no spice. Chips were delicious Real value for money Our fussy daughter ate all 8 of the chicken nuggets which is very unlike her! The burgers are huge and my husband and son both demolished them. My father had the cod and said it was beautiful. Not greasy at all. And finally my mum had the special chicken box! 10/10 from her! Our mushy peas were missing but after such an amazing meal we are happy to let that go.

i allway had sams but when you orderd cod you got haddock they told me I was wrong but most of my family are fishermen in Yarmouth so I know cod. I was told by a friend that lives about 6 houses away from golden fry .. try them I. I been having them now for over a year some times twise a week I will never stop using them the service is perfect they say a time and they get there before they tell you. the cod is the best I have tasted not much batter on what you see is all fish . the chips are lovely , and the people that deliver to your home, are very helpful I give it 10 out of 10 you will not find any one better in Aylesbury.

Simply good food from a eatery which offers a variety of options. This helped us because all us wanted something different. The kids meals are particularly good Value for Money. Nice food at a reasonable price. Thank you.

Went here on my eldest son's advice, and what a great choice! We were down on Christmas Eve, and decided on a Fish & Chip Supper, my first impression was of a well organized, clean & busy take-away, with everyone knowing exactly what to do, the fayre was truly excellent - succulent Cod, honeycomb batter & "Proper" Chips, the meal was delicious. We will return.

Omg defo recomend the meal deals are so worth the money and the chicken kebab are to die for 10/10
