The Bell is one of the only places I will go for a roast dinner as it is always outstanding and I know I couldn't replicate it at home! The whole family loves the menu- teen can have a burger while youngest and adults enjoy a roast. 8yr old loves the cookie and ice cream dessert and the adults enjoy the wide choice of wines on offer. Staff are always polite , helpful and attentive without being OTT.

The food, setting and service were exceptional. Took my.mum to celebrate her birthday. First time here but won't be the last.

Went with friends, who had made the booking, on a Saturday night at the end of January. When we arrived, we were told that our table was in the bar. (Our friends found that they had mistakenly booked a table in the bar rather than the actual restaurant.) We were not shown to our table, it was just pointed out to us and told that it was down there in the corner. The manner in the way this was done we all found it quite rude. Even though we were stuck in a corner of the bar we were not neglected and the service for ordering and service of the food and drinks was good. We had no complaints about the actual food as this was very good. When we came to pay (we were splitting the bill including a tip equally) there was a bit of problem with the restaurant getting the card machine to work, there seemed to be no signal. We offered to go to the actual bar to pay but were told no need. Finally, our payment went through. When our friends came to pay there was a query over the amount of tip we were leaving in the sense is that all it is, which we felt was quite rude. We did not have to leave a tip that is at our discretion.

Stayed in rm 8 with family room was clean and lovely had drinks and dinner which was delicious but breakfast in morning just to the night off Tracie breakfast host was delightful and had 2 full English and 1 child and 1 vegetarian which was a great end to our night

Had booked a table for my wife’s birthday Nice and friendly welcome by the waitress We had the Raclette to share which was really nice I ordered the fillet steak medium and my wife ordered the rib eye medium rare. My steak was so rare I had to send it back. By the time it came back my wife had already eaten her meal. Not great We didn’t fancy a dessert after that so asked for the bill. Total bill with a bottle of wine and a 50% off Mains voucher code, £82. Was it worth it? No !!

Visited yesterday greeted by lovely lady called Tracy who looked after us throughout our meal. Meal came out on time . Very impressed with service. Have been before never disappointed.

Went with my wife yesterday. Had a lovely meal. Tracy was our waitress. Have never been disappointed when visited will be back again soon.

The bell has always been one of my favourite pubs around, came in yesterday as I had a 50% of mains voucher. Food didn’t disappoint as per usual! I had the ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly and my partner had the same. Served by Amelia she did a great job checking in on us

Dined here with some friends a few weeks ago had a lovely meal. decor in the restaurant is lovely and meal was perfect from start to finish served by Mimi she was amazing

Beautiful old building, excellent menu, good meal enjoyed by all present, I held a business lunch at the bell recently and was lucky enough to be looked after by the most helpful young lady I believe her name was Amelia, frankly she was nothing short of sensational, the lunch was delicious, and the service outstanding and I can't thank Amelia enough for the level of customer service she provided, highly recommended

came into the bell had a lovely meal with family. had the pie was exactly what i needed on a cold day. service was amazing served by Amelia she went above and beyond for what we needed. went for a pint at the bar afterwards and was served by oliver he was very chatty and did great too

I very rarely review anything but felt on this occasion I had to. This is a genuinely lovely pub providing excellent accommodation and really good food in a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere. By far the best place we’ve been around Aylesbury. Great value for money compared to the soulless Aylesbury Premier Inn and Travelodge which are dearer (at least in the week).

Lovely meal with my grandparents. 1 small hiccup with a missing food item was sorted quickly and professionally. We all ordered from the festive menu and very much enjoyed every last bit. We often come to the Bell for a yearly Christmas meal and the Bell never disappoints!

Celebrated a birthday here recently and the food was delicious and the pub was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Great, friendly pub with a fantastic atmosphere.

Good food and good ambience. However, it did feel a little rushed on this occasion, although that's probably inevitable for a December Sunday. We felt staff were hovering after 2 hrs as they presumably had a next sitting waiting in the bar for their table As we left the restaurant though, it was clear there were other side rooms which were not full (one with a log fire), so not sure why the rush.

My experience at the bell was amazing all the staff were wonderful and the food was some of the best food I have had in a very long time and also the service was great and fast and they made a little special dessert for my birthday which I thought was very thoughtful I really do recommend this place.

Went for Christmas meal, food came quickly but was cold not a great choice of non alcoholic drinks which was a shame but it was a good night with coworkers

We came for our company Christmas do. Superb food and service especially as the rest of the restaurant was busy. Only recommendation would be an extra bar person at this busy time of year, but this didn’t distract from an otherwise excellent evening. Thank you.

Posh pub grub, relaxing, unpretentious, great service, warm, cosy and unrushed. Salt and pepper squid to start. Needed a bit more of the excellent sauce Had the pork belly for main...just outstanding. Dessert was above average

Warmly welcomed to the Bell at Aston Clinton. Although we had not pre booked a table,Aisha made us very welcome and quickly took us to a table.Drinks order taken and menus bought to table. Fantastic range of food on menus to suite all budgets and detailed information with regards to dietary requirements. Service was excellent and food cooked to perfection,great flavours and suitable portion size.

This was booked as Christmas dinner with friends. Starter and desert were very nice but my main which was the veggie option was unappetising to say the least. Great lumps of vegetables served needing more cooking. No crackers or anything festive. Disappointing. The staff were very efficient and friendly as ever.

Would recommend but portions a bit small you need to order sides too which puts price of meal up slot!

Had an amazing lunch at the Bell, served by a waitress called lily, she did an amazing job as was quite busy! But food was amazing, I had the fish cakes which were out of this world, followed by a poached pear which again cannot fault at all. The decoration of the interior in the pub was also beautiful will definitely be back.

We visited the bell on Sunday the 17th November and it was brilliant! We had a lovely table for 10 in a private room. Our waitress was amazing, her name was Amelia and she couldn't of been more helpful. The food was great and very good portions. I would highly recommend the Bell and if you get the choice try to have Amelia looking after you!

Booked a table for Sunday dinner at 15:30 and was told just after 16:30 that we would need to vacate our table by 17:00. We have a 5 year old child who was still eating his food.

We were so looking forward to celebrating my sister’s birthday (who’s visiting all the way from Central America) over breakfast. Check on the website what time they stop serving it before making our way there, just to be told at 11:10 that they’ve stopped serving breakfast at 11…. 4 adults and two children. No explanation on why this was the case, but was just told they were finished at 11. VERY disappointing as we’ve seen the pictures and had high expectations. Wasted our time travelling there. Please change update your times so people don’t travel just for nothing.

Amazing vibe, amazing food. I’ve had the best halloumi chips ever. The bar could do with an upgrade (e.g. they dont have Cognac or Johnnie Walker Blue label) but the food is fantastic. Highly recommended

We had a surprise 16th birthday meal for my daughter Saturday and it was incredible! We were given a small function room all to ourselves! I took up some decorations and a cake in the day and a staff member said she was happy to decorate the table on my behalf! Beautiful restaurant, love the lights outside - we got some lovely photos with the birthday girl! The food was delicious! Staff were kind and attentive to us! Honestly what a lovely restaurant/pub and I’d highly recommend to anyone! Can’t wait to return! Thank you for making my daughter’s 16th birthday special!

The Starters were excellent especially the scallops. The Sharing Roast was nice however the portion of cauliflower cheese was quite small for 2 people and the chicken was very dry., Also and odd amount of slices of beef therefore was not able to split equally between 2 people. service was prompt and friendly. the table we were given by a back door though seemed to end up a bit of a thoroughfare for waitresses to get to the booths at the back of the room so we were being squeezed past continuously. We would visit again but maybe not order the sharing roast and ask for a different table.

Our first visit, and recommended by our AirBnB Hostess. We weren't disappointed. The seating, lighting and atmosphere made it a relaxing time for us after a day travelling. The food was beautifully presented, and very tasty - we had the lamb, followed by viola desserts. Our Server was Sienna, and she was cheerful and attentive. As we left, we felt well fed, relaxed, and loved the walk through the lit up bower. Ample car parking opposite, so no stress trying to find a space to park. We WILL return.

Sienna did an amazing job at taking our food order and made sure we had got everything we had ordered which was lovely :)

Went for a family meal , when ordering our meal, we had everything explained clearly and expertly by our waitress Amelia, and I was able to change my order from the menu, she could not do enough to help us and I appreciated this as I am hard of hearing so often have trouble in restaurants. The food was well presented and tasty but the customer service will bring me back.

I took the Grandchildren here for a meal and have to say the service was excellent, one member of staff -Amelia went out of her way to make it a special evening for us, helping with the menu choices for the children who needed more time and lots of explanations,she was friendly and understanding and a credit to your team. Food was good, promptly served and as ordered. We will be back.

Came here as we were passing through, Not many quality vegetarian options, so I went for the fig&Dolcelatte roast. The food was priced high but a low standard. Soggy greens / roast potatoes, and overly salted nut roast. The pub is beautiful inside but that is all you are paying for. Very dissatisfied.

Food was excellent and plentiful. Service was very good. It was a 60th birthday and I requested a quiet location. We were next to two tables both with young noisy babies, far from ideal.

I visited the bell with some friends on Saturday afternoon for bottomless brunch, what a great afternoon, the food was amazing and the waitress Aisha was very attentive, we had plenty of drinks in the timescale and could order whenever we wanted more.

8 old friends met for dinner and an overnight stay. We had a fabulous time and the place was the perfect venue. We were lucky to have the private dining space so we could laugh and chat without disturbing the other patrons. The food was really good and exactly what you would expect from pub grub. The staff (especially Ollie) were very attentive and patient with a rather roudy , fun loving group. The accommodation was perfectly fine and breakfast was crackerjack. The only really minor (really minor) oddity was the DJ who started his set at about 5pm, built himself into a frenzy by 8pm and then was gone by 9pm! Thanks to everyone at the Bell for a great time.

A lovely village pub with a great homely feel. Great for meals in the garden or drinks inside infront of live music.

Bottomless brunch the first for the bell. We had a great time service was excellent from aisha the drinks were flowing and the food was excellent. 2 courses great value for money only thing is they should add a house beer because someone might like that. But great service just needs advertising more ladies love a bottomless brunch.

This is a really chique pub. Fabulous garden and fabulous interior design. Very reliable service. I have been many times. Roast Beef excellent.

This used to be a very popular & high end pub/restaurant. It’s now virtually fast food. Order yourself at the bar. Disappointing.

Food and service were exemplary. We were a party of 7. Not always easy to time food for such a group. Server was polite, smiling and nothing seemed too much trouble to her. My only reservation was about the area where we were seated. While I could see it could be curtained off for a more private small party, it was rather gloomy.

Every Wednesday I take an elderly gentleman who is in a care home out for lunch. We have been to about 8 or 9 pubs in the Wendover / Aylesbury area, and this is the first time that I have been very disappointed. I had high expectations as the car park was very busy. We had to eat in the bar as the restaurant was full, which was fine. I ordered the Rotisserie chicken, and my friend had the fish and chips. My chicken was an incredibly small half, and it was very very dry and over cooked. The word Rotisserie conjures up a juicy moist affair, but alas I would have done better to go to Kentucky fried chicken. It was also billed as coming with skin on fries, but what came was the usual frozen McCain type of cardboard fries, all of which made the price of £17.95 quite ridiculous. To be fair, my friends fish and chips looked good, and he enjoyed it. Finally, at no point did anyone show us any welcoming phrases like enjoy your meal, or when I came to pay, I was not asked if everything was ok, and neither the girls or the boy behind the bar said goodbye when we left. I just felt the whole experience was just a money making exercise with no love or care to be found. It would do well for the owner/manager to reflect that the customer does have a choice, and I know I will be exercising mine.

We had a very tasty lunch at The Bell & our waitress Aisha was very helpful & friendly. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

Been here a number of times but the food on our last visit was just very poor for the price! Garlic Pizza bread said “drizzle of Pesto” and was covered in bland grass tasting green gloop, it was oily and quite frankly inedible! The dirty burger was ok but a £16 burger should be better than this surely!! Margarita pizza was ok! The service was spot on as always but for £90 meal for 3 people ….. not worth it for the price! The toilets were very dirty (stalls) appreciate you can’t clean after every fella has a dump but both stalls were unacceptable. Sad because it’s a lovley building and the service staff seem to care but the food was well below par! Friday evening at 6.15 wasn’t that busy so felt like there was no care taken tbh!
