Our food was wonderful and the amazing service that Gary gave us really made our visit.He was so helpful and even enquired about a favourite dessert of my mum in law(creme brulee)to let us know when it would be back on the seasonal menu.The restaurant was really busy but Gary was super efficient and calm and seemed to genuinely enjoy chatting to everyone and making them welcome. I asked for his name so that I could leave feedback because he really was good at his job and you should get him to train all the staff so that they are like him !10 out of 10

The whole experience was a delight. The waitress was absolutely lovely. Really took the time to interact with us, not simply do a job and take our food order. The food arrived promptly, was beautifully served and tasted delicious.

Service was OK - quick starter but slow for main course.. Food was good apart from the prime burger and the brownie, which were both dry and overcooked/re-heated.

Ashley was a very attentive waitress. She was at hand if needed and very polite. The pub is in a lovely setting with plenty of parking outside.

Was taken by my daughter for Mother’s Day - we were in the dog friendly part of the restaurant in front of a roaring fire - just perfect as a miserable rainy day. The MD menu food was amazing - could not fault and good range of choices. Service was great and we were never kept waiting for anything. Will certainly return.

We celebrated our son’s birthday with our large family here this weekend, as it’s our son’s favourite restaurant. I have to say it did not disappoint, the food was lovely, the service was so warming and friendly, and our son loved it. Thank you The Bell for always delivering!!!

Went there for dinner with good mate 1 in wheelchair well looked after food was good enjoyed the evening 1 small downside was getting wheelchair in front door.

We had a table of 10 for my sons birthday and the food and staff were amazing. Very helpful and accommodating, especially as we were a large group. Highly recommended.

Went here on Tuesday had a lovely waitress called ashley. Very attentive and helpful. She recommended me the sea bass and it was delicious and came out reasonably quickly. Overall it was a great experience it’s always my first choice for dinner with the fam.

Visited with my daughter for breakfast/ brunch. Was welcomed by lovely lady called Tracy. We both had the full breakfast which was cooked to perfection. Followed by cappacinos. Tracy came and checked we was ok couple of times very chatty lady full of info on places to visit. Will definitely be coming back.

First time visiting this restaurant and absolutely delighted. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We had our own little side room for my daughter’s birthday which was ideal as we had 6 month old baby with us. Staff were very attentive and gave excellent service. Food was delicious with a good choice and well presented. Would definitely recommend this place and will be back for more.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Bell. It was a real treat.. Our waiter, Garry, went above and beyond and is a great asset to The Bell. He took care to check our meals for allergens and provided excellent customer service. All of us throughly enjoyed our meals.

Had a lovely meal here with family. The food was first rate! I would advise against the use of the striped paper with the burgers… looks good but gets soggy (v. Minor point). Efficient check in and room clean with comfortable and well presented bed. The bar is well stocked with a great wine list and friendly efficient service….. but the restaurant…. OMG! I was a Hotel inspector in a previous career- The service was friendly, efficient and with a ‘can do” attitude from the young group serving- but the food itself was frankly OUTSTANDING. Always a worry ordering a pie- Will it be a bowl of indiscriminate stew, topped with puff pastry? Nope, not at the Bell- delicious crumbly shirt crust pastry encasing melt in the mouth high quality beef immersed in a delicious Malbec diminished gravy. It arrived sat on a bed of creamy mash with lovely Al dents green vegetables on the side. It was stunning. I preceded the main course with chipotle chicken and it was a fabulous indication of what was to come. Sticky, crunchy, spicy and just well, beautiful. I don’t generally do dessert but there was so many tempting options so I went for the trilogy of desserts. A small portion of the Eaton mess, the apple crumble and the Brownie…. washed down with a delicious glass of Sauternes. One of the best meals I’ve had in a very very long time. The chef should be extremely proud of his work and the Bell is very lucky to have him. The only small thing I’d pick up on is (I worked in hospitality and the wine industry) the staff when bringing wine by the glass tend to hold the glass incorrectly. It should be held by the base or the stem, avoiding touching the bowl of the glass at all times. A small point and not to detract from an absolutely super stay.

We stayed here for one night and had dinner and breakfast. Food wasn’t bad. The room was clean as was the bathroom. The lighting in the room is very dim which is lovely until you want to use the mirror. I appreciate there’s a bright mirror in the bathroom but has a sink inbetween so not great for make up. The towels really smelt of bleach/chlorine and the lilys are way too strong downstairs, please consider milder flowers as lilys are extremely strong especially in an area where food is being served. No toiletries in the room that are not stuck to the wall. Some staff very friendly, others much less so. Not a bad place but would stay somewhere else next time for the money charged.

Great pub/restaurant in the middle of Aston Clinton. Nicely laid out inside, staff friendly and food great. We called in at lunchtime - comfortably busy. Note that the car park is on the opposite side of the road.

A group of 11of us had a lovely lunch here today. The staff were very good especially as there should have been 16 of us and 5 cancelled at the last minute. The only complaint we all had was that the room was extremely cold. I had to put my coat round my legs plus the fire, which was too far away to feel any benefit, went out. As it is only the third week of January we expected it to be warmer.

We were a party of nine having Boxing Day dinner in the ‘Tens’ room.. All of the staff were great. Very attentive and providing our food and drink as we required it. We weren’t rushed which meant we could eat in a relaxed way.. All of my group were very happy and there was nothing that could have been improved during our visit.

We visited The Bell on Christmas Eve for their festive menu. The servers, especially Charlotte were friendly, efficient & professional. The food was excellent, thanks to the chefs Mario, George & Lee. The atmosphere was relaxed with clever sectional seating so you were not aware of how busy it was. The courses were nicely spaced out. Seating was very comfortable. Highly recommended, we will be back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Bell in Aston Clinton, Aylesbury, and let me tell you, the food was out of this world! The king prawn linguine was an absolute delight, with perfectly cooked prawns and a flavorful sauce that had me craving for more. And the ice cream cookie? Oh my goodness, it was a heavenly combination of warm, gooey cookie and cold, creamy ice cream. It was the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, I highly recommend The Bell for its delicious and satisfying dishes. It's definitely a must-visited spot!.

I came to the bell for a small Christmas work do. We were greeted by a lovely lady named Aisha who welcomed us with a smile and answered all of our many questions! She made sure we were all served and had everything we needed, our food was lovely and made our tummies very full and did not leave us feeling hungry we were also served by Lily who was kind and made sure our food was all good and made sure we weren’t left feeling thirsty or unattended. This is the second time we came to the bell for our Christmas dinner and we weren’t left disappointed at all. 100% recommend the bell to anyone and everyone 😊 thankyou again !

Lunch at the bell exceeded all expectations, from the welcome to the bill. The service was cheerfully, friendly and efficient and the food particularly delicious.

Attended for a Work Do on 15th December with a total of 15 people. The process was a bit muddled from the start. I had to make contact with the pub themselves to see if they needed advance orders for all 15 of us. They sent over an email with word document to detail these preorders. This was completed and sent back within 24 hours. Unfortunately, we received no email reply stating it had been received and I called them again the following day. They stated it had been received an email confirmation would follow shortly. Nothing. The day before the Work Do we received a call stating that The Bell was waiting for our pre-order form. Again, they had to be directed to their emails that it had been sent two days before. Despite this initial confusion, food for all 15 people arrived perfectly and without a hitch on the night. The portions were laughably for some dishes and whilst being tasty, they weren't particularly anything special. Our group was satisfied as a whole with the food. Drinks are a little pricey, probably due to their being little to no competition in the area. Unknown to us, The Bell closes at 11:30pm. For a Friday evening, this close to Christmas we were a bit shocked they were willing pushing good money out the door this early during a current financial crisis publicans are in. Unfortunately, the end of the night is where our whole experience was soured rather rapidly. The last orders bell was rang at 11:00pm and we started being ushered out at 11:15pm. Some of our group even had unfinished glasses taken away. At around 11:20pm some of our group had now left, whilst the rest of us were ushered outside. I myself returned briefly inside to see if I could use the loo before hopping in a taxi. After asking if the toilets were open still, a staff member, who had brunette hair, around 5.5ft in height and had thick glasses, with a slightly raised voice, spoke across the bar to me and said 'No, they're closed. Out.' Stunned, I complained that I didn't appreciate being spoken to 'like a dog' and returned to my group outside. Upon returning to them, it became evident that she had given a rather frosty and rude reception to others at our Work Do along with another female staff member with long blonde hair and glasses. This was despite this staff members not directly waiting on our table that night. Our whole group left in a state of shock at the reception we had been left with. It is a shame because they really let down some fantastic staff members that worked so brilliantly that night. A young boy at the bar and who waited on us was fantastic, despite not being old enough to serve us alcohol as well as a very friendly, tall barman with glasses. Unfortunately, due to these few highlighted, extremely negative incidents, our firm will not be back in the future and certainly won't be recommending The Bell to others while rude staff continue to be present.
