Wow. Bar staff had no idea about Windsor prices. 7 pounds for a very average Guinness...bad form. No where in Windsor charges this. We're not in London but she was stupidly shocked. Back to Slough or dedworth me thinks. No brain

passed by here on my stay in Windsor on Friday night karaoke , was great atmosphere ,with everyone getting applause(even me) every one in good spirits and bar staff nice and on the ball ,,was pleasantly surpised, would go again if ever in town

Loved this Bar great sports Screens. Also loved the house red wine and the general ambience. Good crisps and beer selection.

I only went for Karaoke night not to eat out for Food.

One of Windsor's friendliest places. Good selection of drinks. Good for anyone who enjoys sports on the big screen. Enjoyed the afternoon watching the Ashes over a cold cider.

Not too bad of a place, though there are much better pubs around. The floor is sticky, the music is loud, the selection isn't huge, but you will still have a good time if you go. The staff are the best part here. They are friendly and fun.

We have in the past visited this venue and had many a great night, lovely bar and staff very pleasant ....! However Sunday 27th feb Six of us visited the Acre and sat at a table and ordered some drinks . The vibe was different and a little unsettling due to a fair few very drunk and disorderly men who were falling about the bar area and dance floor space . Two of the ladies from our table went out side for a cigarette when a young drunk man plonked himself upon our table ! he didnt have a drink and kept learching over myself and was smashed toutching and breathing all over us , he reached out and tried to drink one of the ladies drinks which i had to retrieve from him and then tried to remove the straw from the glass , one of the other ladies removed the glass from his reach. On the return of the two smokers I asked the guy to vacate his seat as he was sitting in her chair and I recieved an aggressive refusal and was told to F off ! , I tried to untangle his feet which was wrapped up in the lace from a ladies bag and I again asked him to leave which was again denied , The ladies also collected their purces as he had been reaching and toutching them and even tried to remove a coat from the back of a chair . I went to the bar and asked the staff to intervene which they promptly did ! . He was lead away to the bar and he looked as if he wanted to kick off with myself which made me feel very uncomfortable and cautious, He was not asked to leave the club but we decided to leave the venue and move to another venue instead. I was not drunk myself as i was the designated driver, I have never seen this venue with so many alcohol fueled men before ! I has always been very pleasant which has left a very bitter taste especially after this confrontation, There was no Door security staff presesnt and it could have easily turned into a brawl had it been two drunk patrons arguing. Very disapointed he wasnt asked to leave and also no confidence in any control that could have been apolied if it had of kicked off although the female bar staff did manage to defuse the situation . Not sure i would go back on a sunday evening again ...

Friendly bar with good beer. Having the footie on is handy so quickly becoming my local. Also has bands on which is always a bonus 👍🏽

A poor experience sadly! Its well and good reviewing from a visitor/ client perspective, however in trying to speak with, the incumbent manager (reference band work.. no big deal really! these types of venue are two-a-penny!), I received a very off-hand, haughty telephone reception that was unfriendly and defensive! This was my second experience and the first, which I believed to be an aberration, was just as bad a couple of years ago, same manager (do these owners/ breweries not listen to feedback? It can't all be good!). My impressions and opinions from my conversation with this person are that this establishment must be run in an autocratic, untrusting and rushed, 'closed door policy' manner. Ofsted would undoubtedly once have judged this style of leadership on communication skills in the hospitality industry as Very POOR! I'd love to inspect the establishments other failings! For goodness sake good telephone manner costs nothing and can win friends, put a smile on it buddy, no one loves a miserable manager!

We visited The Acre off the back of the Good Beer Guide app listing - this is a members club but we were made to feel welcome. A couple of real ales from Windsor and Eton Brewery and Fullers and a fair handful of characterful locals! Bar staff were friendly, plenty of seating, didn’t eat here and no obvious food availability. Ok for a drink, real ale well kept. Function room and large toilets downstairs.

A very good music venue, the staff were very polite and had things under control. The ales are kept well and poured to perfection. The venue is spacious and the band came across load and clear. I will definitely be going back .

The Acre Club Is The Best Place To Watch Sport In Windsor. Ive visited the venue several times last year & decided i liked it so much i got a membership this year always friendly loads of ales lagers spirits & ciders & great for sport & live band entertainment on a Saturday

First time visit to this members club, non-members welcome. Big screen for televised sports events, good size bar and snacks. Literally around the corner from the castle.

The Acra is a members club but you can pay a fee to get in & at weekends it has live bands. It also has large screen TV's for footy & Boxing Events & very reasonably price drinks

We were at a loose end one night in Windsor and found this pub. It has regular live music so we thought we'd give it a go. So glad we did. It's obviously quite popular as it was packed. Nice pub with friendly staff and a very friendly atmosphere. We watch the Skin and Blister Band and had a really enjoyable night.

Sad that the chef is no longer there for proper cooked meals. They are only offering heated pies, rolls, and snacks now. However, good (but not great) for live sports. Coffee and wide variety of drinks available. Cannot comment on the bands as I avoid the place weekend evenings. Too busy. Problem is...with so many other pubs and restaurants closing this is starting to become by default one of the few places left that has any real kind of standard to be proud of.

Beer is good and prices very reasonable. BUT the quality of the music on Saturday nights has taken a tumble. Now mostly wedding bands and rock now with the occasional band worth listening to. Used to be a top quality music venue with good bands nearly every week - very sad.

Went here to see a live band , had a fabulous evening, bar prices very reasonable and the band were great , nice crowd , mixed age group and easy atmosphere, would recommend a visit with a band playing ,

It feels like a social club ... Which I believe it once was. But that means it's friendly and good value. I reasonable choice of ales in good condition. Ideal place to watch the rugby.

A real surprise to find such good quality food at very reasonable prices. The staff were excellent taking care of our every need. Lived in Windsor for just over five years and can't believe this place has been just round the corner.
