Very busy little pub. Food was great. I had the fish and chips. Batter crispy and fish cooked perfectly and moist. Good price too.

Fantastic service and food tonight, all Home cooked and very fresh. Went for the shared smaller plates and prawns and Brie were my favourite although all of them were amazing! Carly such a lovely lady and hostess and very friendly. Will def be back 😁

Did Sunday roast here was not blown away and the pub seemed quite rundown. Maybe one for the summer months as it looks out onto the cricket green

Lovely reasonably priced meal and drinks. Great location opposite the village green.

Traditional pub grub. Nice, tasty food - chicken & mushroom pie, steak & ale pie, followed by sticky toffee pudding & ginger pudding & custard. Drinks were local ale & were fine. The staff seemed genuinely friendly & took order & served food quickly. The only downsides: The table was sticky (with beer stains?) and obviously not very well cleaned before our arrival. The pub is quite noisy in the evening (8 pm) with what I assume are the several pub regulars both male & female propping up the bar and talking so loudly we felt our quiet conversation in the corner of the adjacent bar was being drowned out!

At last after a busy year of hardly being around the area I finally managed to get back to "my" friendly Cricketers pub/country inn. As always a friendly welcome followed by a delicious meal of homemade vegetable soup and followed by a homemade caeser salad. I have been to many places over the summer and asked for a caeser salad. Always one has to pay extra for chicken and in one place I had 2 rashers of bacon placed on top of the salad. I'm sorry to say that of the many caeser salads consumed not one is a patch on The Cricketers caeser salad made by the landlady of the pub. I have now learned don't ask for a caeser salad anywhere except at The Cricketers, Littlewick Green.

We went to The Cricketers on a Saturday evening, a large portion of the menu was not available, and of the 4 meals eaten, 3 were very disappointing. I wrote to the manager who took a full month to ‘investigate’ and was very defensive stating ‘Whilst we are always pleased to welcome walk-ins, if you had contacted us (booked before- hand) we would have had the opportunity to advise you of the home-made items that were unavailable.’ The blame was put on us for not complaining to staff, but we do not like to complain in public and it does not excuse a disappointing meal. The word is disappointing, and we will not be returning.

This inn, in a beautiful village setting, provided a delicious Sunday lunch for our six family members yesterday. Everything was wonderful, the food, the service, the setting. Not only that, but the prices were incredibly good value - we could not have chosen better. Thank you staff and chef - it was amazing!

Beautiful outside seating overlooking the cricket green (I didn’t go inside). I had a home cooked ham sandwich with chips and salad, which was delicious. Attentive staff, even on an unprecedentedly busy and hot day. I wasn’t able to fully finish my lunch (because of medication) and the lady serving us made sure there was no issue with the food before happily making me up a doggy bag to take home, which I really appreciated. VERY Reasonable prices. Will certainly return.

Lovely location, nice service, but the roast dinner was awful in every single aspect. It was also cheap -£12.50. Perhaps invest in a decent chef and better produce and put the prices up. With the location people will pay more for better quality. Horse and groom down the road charge £20-25 for a roast and it’s worth every penny.

Extraordinarily friendly staff. They accommodate for anything and treated our 1 year old daughter with kindness and patience.

Yesterday I went with Lady Mon for lunch. The pies, fish and steak ale were excellent. Plus the fact that we can soak up the ambience of filming 'Midsummer Murders' episode of: “Dead Man’s 11, A Talent for Life, The Animal Within, The Great & The Good, Death & The Divas & Death of Small Coppers.” The staffs were excellent. Absolute wonderful, I would recommended The Cricketers to any one and everyone.

We discovered this idyllic pub earlier in the year and have revisited four or five times. The Landlord and staff are friendly, welcoming and keen to offer a good experience. The food is absolutely delicious, good value for money and most importantly freshly made on the premises. An absolute gem of a find.

Taken here for the first time Saturday evening for my wife's birthday and we were welcomed by bar staff and served immediately, relaxed outside for a while as we weren't rushed to take a table, went in and again weren't pushed to order as soon as we sat down, I had the whitebait starter and beer battered cod and chips, so full I couldn't do a pudding !. Took our time after had a few more drinks and said goodbye but definitely not the last time we will be visiting here again. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, thank you very The cricketer's, top marks.

We visited today for my birthday and had a lovely lunch. There was a warm welcome from the lovely staff and an excellent lunchtime menu. We shared the whitebait and calamari and finished with the apple crumble and lemon tart. All of it was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. We will definitely be returning and would like to thank the staff for their amazingly warm welcome and great service.

Another great, little, country pub. Great food and beer at reasonable prices. Very helpful and friendly staff. Most of the patrons appeared to be regular customers that were treated like friends and family, despite this being only our third visit to the place, we felt very welcome from both customers and staff.

Lovely pub in a lovely setting (next to the Cricket ground), but the thing that really does make it exceptional is the staff - so friendly, helpful and welcoming. They created the atmosphere for a really memorable birthday celebration. Many thanks to all of them!

Dinner last night for 11. All good with the exception of the moussaka. Tiny portion, virtually no meat and no sign of aubergines. Should have complained at the time but didn't. Please look at this dish as it's not fit to present as it is.

Made us and a couple of dogs very welcome. We should have booked but squeezed in. Great service and fabulous food. We both had a steak pie followed by treacle pudding. Good comfort food for a cold but sunny day. Good beer to wash it down.

It's definitely a tucked away pub, probably mainly used by the locals as situated down a dead end road. I found all the staff very friendly and welcoming. I was there on my own and read good reviews for the food so tried the Lamb shank, beautifully tender, wasn't disappointed. I will come back again for Sunday lunch, this place is well worth a visit, enjoy 😊

We visited the cricketers today and what a lovely pub very reasonable prices and the most wonderful owner Rowena, she looked after us with such respect and dignity. Thank you so much we will be back again.

We're regular visitors to The Cricketers, despite living on the opposite side of town - and it's always such a pleasure to spend some time here. It's in a beautiful position overlooking the cricket pitch (hence the pub's name) in the pretty village of Littlewick Green, on the western border of Maidenhead. There's always a friendly welcome, and the pub's clientele is a mixture of locals, dog walkers and ramblers, as well as those who simply enjoy the hospitality of a cosy country pub. The menu here is very affordable and the food very tasty - with plenty of choice for vegetarians such as ourselves, as well as the more traditional dishes. I really enjoyed my mushroom risotto, perfectly complemented with a glass of pino, and the pub had a nice friendly buzz on a Friday evening. The service was good too, and we had everything we needed. The background music is always good too - not too loud, and always creates a pleasant atmosphere. We really enjoyed our evening, and would highly recommend! Looking forward to our next visit.

We visited here on our way back home after a weekend away. We had a dog with us and it looked like a good dog friendly option. The food was good and reasonably priced, and our dog was made to feel welcome with water and treats. There is a big green outside if they need a bit of a walk or toilet during your visit. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Friendly staff good food on a beautiful village green

A friend who lived locally, advised us that this was the best pub and restaurant in the area. They were correct. The food, service and location were fantastic. Anyone visiting the area should pay a visit.

This is one of my 'local' pubs; within walking distance. It has full view of the cricket ground and pavilion, on the village green. The ales are usually from the Badger brewery, very well kept in all weathers. The food is *pub food* as it ought to be; high quality and fresh, not a 'gastro' experience from foreign lands. The pub hosts morris sides in the summer; so, I often dance there. Not only the cricketers and other villagers but also people from nearly villages come and drink there while watching us. It is a marvellous place and very 'iconic', picture postcard of a place. Well worth visiting even if you don't like real ale - yes, thet do make coffees.

We have been visiting the Cricketers for a couple of years and are always impressed with the food and staff. Always a friendly welcome and it’s a lovely spot. However just wish they would change their menu once in a while. The menu never changes which for a regular customer can be rather monotonous.

We were fortunate and able to sit outside across the road on the boundary of the cricket pitch. Nine of us. We got our own beer, but "mine host" himself took our food orders and served table, bless him. Food was visually very different (I coveted my neighbours butterfly prawns) but tasty. Can't tell you about the inside experience, obviously, but the Fursty Ferret I drank was well kept and delicious.

Food was delicious. Had to wait a little while but it was busy. Would definitely go again.

Foods good and everyone very friendly.

Just recently I have taken members of my family to The Cricketers for lunch on two days. The food as usual was superb. My brother-in-law was very surprised when his wife's meal came up with what he called "real" chips!! I had to tell him again that everything at The Cricketers is cooked from scratch by the fantastic cook(s) in the kitchen.

We have been regular visitors for a few years now - and for a reason! good, honest food at reasonable prices, always promptly served and consistent quality. The owners Nigel and Rowena are always welcoming and attentive. Hope to see you this coming Tuesday!

We visited on a Monday night, the pub had a lovely atmosphere and was surprisingly busy for a Monday, a good sign we thought. The staff were very welcoming and great with our young children. The food was delicious and service was prompt. Will visit again if we're in the area another time.

Went to The Cricketers for Sunday Lunch last weekend. Absoloutely fantastic....you won't go hungry! My father and I had Roast Pork and Roast Beef respectively. Both were excellent and full of flavour. My wife had the Nut Roast which she said was one of the best she has had. Everything was accompanied by superb gravy and the vegetables, Yorskshires and Roast Potatoes were cooked to perfection. We would like to comment on their deserts but we simply didn't have enough room for them. Hopefully next time. The staff are always pleasant and the owners Nigel and Rowena cannot do enough for their clients. See you soon.

Went for lunch with friends and the meal was really out of this world. One friend & I had salads which were so beautifully presented that it almost seemed wicked to break into them and eat. My other friend had the beef stroganoff and again very delicious. A very enjoyable and friendly atmosphere which just makes you want to go back there time and again.

Lonely open fire, dear at the bar, femme staff. All good, I will keep coming back. A good pub with good, excellent value food.

Another enjoyable lunch with friends at this family friendly pub/restaurant. The food is out of this world and presented in such an attractive way, it almost seems criminal to eat it. The Cricketers is such a pretty old fashioned looking place place set in an idyllic locatiin overlooking the village green.

The staff here are really nice and friendly, and accommodating of dogs. And the pub is in a pretty location on the green. Unfortunately the food wasn’t good. My roast lamb shank was drowning in thick gravy, and the potatoes and Yorkshire puddings weren’t fresh – we’re pretty sure they’d been microwaved. My partner’s nut roast was more like a dry veggie burger, and she had stomach problems during the following night. The prices aren’t high, but if the food’s not good then it’s not worth eating out.

We had a fabulous Sunday lunch here last weekend. It is a gorgeous country pub on the village green. There were 6 of us with 3 dogs and my mum is disabled. The staff were amazing from the moment of booking. They were so thoughtful and helpful, above and beyond any where else we've been with mum since she has had her condition and we've been to many places that have been wonderful. The food was proper home cooked meals and all six of us thoroughly enjoyed our 3 courses. We will definitely be going back and would recommend it to anyone.
