Lucky to get a table! Advisable to book - we were walk--ins and got the last table I think. Very welcoming to 2 strangers from the North. Food good and plentiful and reasonably priced.

Booked a table for our family 12 adults and children for Mother's Day. Had the 12pm sitting and was told we'd have to be finished by 2.45pm for the next sitting which was ok with us. We were seated in an alcove on our own just off the main area of the pub. A young lady came and took our drinks order and food at the same time, 12.15pm. After that we waited and waited and waited. Went up to the bar several times to enquire about our food. We were watching other tables have 1/2/3 courses and leave, and we were still waiting for our food. 3 young children in our group, very hungry and getting restless. To cut a long story short, our food arrived 2 hours later. No one had come to see if we wanted any drinks or to apologize for the wait. It was us having to go up to the bar repeatedly to see where our food was. We ate our meal and quickly asked for the bill. The bill came and was incorrect. We mentioned to the young lady how poor the service was and the incorrect bill. You would think then at that point the manager would come and see us, and apologize, but no. Very, very poor service and a very disappointing Mother's Day meal for us all.

Having booked a table for 12pm for Mother’s Day, we received our meal at 2pm, yes there was 12 of us, three under 8, which considering the waiting time were very well behaved. We had to ask the staff as to what time the food would be served four times. Not one member of staff came to our table once the first round of drinks were ordered. We insisted by this time that the children’s meals could be served. Service was appalling, food average.if you can’t handle big booking don’t take them.

Booked a table for 12 people for a Mother's Day lunch at 12pm. We were informed that we'd have to leave by 2.30-2.45pm ready for the next sitting. This was fine as we had things planned for after the meal. Arrived at noon and were seated in an area off the main part of the pub. We were on our own, but this was fine as we had young children in the group who could move around without disturbing other guests. Young lady came and took our drinks order and 2 guests had starters. We then waited 2 HOURS for our food. Nobody came to see if we would like to order more drinks, no-one came to apologize or communicate with us as to why our food was taking so long. We were watching other guests have 1/2/3 courses and leave, whilst we were still waiting. Several of us went up to the bar on several occasions to politely ask where our food was, or how long it was going to be. Three children in our party aged 3,5 and 7 were extremely hungry. Our food came out at 2.10pm. We quickly ate it then asked for the bill. The bill came and was incorrect. This was then rectified. The young person serving us was polite, but after complaining about the service, we felt that the manager should've come over and spoken to us and offered us an apology or a goodwill gesture. Very, very poor service.

As a vegetarian I usually avoid pub lunches on a Sunday as there is rarely any choice and we are often just a token extra. The Cricketers however was exceptional. 3 different vegetarian Sunday lunch options. I went for the nut roast which was delicious, and I still got all the trimmings (including a Yorkshire pud!). The service was great and for a family of 6 including alcoholic drinks it was very reasonable. Would definitely return.

This is one of my 'local' pubs; within walking distance. It has full view of the cricket ground and pavilion, on the village green. The ales are usually from the Badger brewery, very well kept in all weathers. The food is *pub food* as it ought to be; high quality and fresh, not a 'gastro' experience from foreign lands. The pub hosts morris sides in the summer; so, I often dance there. Not only the cricketers and other villagers but also people from nearly villages come and drink there while watching us. It is a marvellous place and very 'iconic', picture postcard of a place. Well worth visiting even if you don't like real ale - yes, thet do make coffees.

Traditional pub grub. Nice, tasty food - chicken & mushroom pie, steak & ale pie, followed by sticky toffee pudding & ginger pudding & custard. Drinks were local ale & were fine. The staff seemed genuinely friendly & took order & served food quickly. The only downsides: The table was sticky (with beer stains?) and obviously not very well cleaned before our arrival. The pub is quite noisy in the evening (8 pm) with what I assume are the several pub regulars both male & female propping up the bar and talking so loudly we felt our quiet conversation in the corner of the adjacent bar was being drowned out!

At last after a busy year of hardly being around the area I finally managed to get back to "my" friendly Cricketers pub/country inn. As always a friendly welcome followed by a delicious meal of homemade vegetable soup and followed by a homemade caeser salad. I have been to many places over the summer and asked for a caeser salad. Always one has to pay extra for chicken and in one place I had 2 rashers of bacon placed on top of the salad. I'm sorry to say that of the many caeser salads consumed not one is a patch on The Cricketers caeser salad made by the landlady of the pub. I have now learned don't ask for a caeser salad anywhere except at The Cricketers, Littlewick Green.

We went to The Cricketers on a Saturday evening, a large portion of the menu was not available, and of the 4 meals eaten, 3 were very disappointing. I wrote to the manager who took a full month to ‘investigate’ and was very defensive stating ‘Whilst we are always pleased to welcome walk-ins, if you had contacted us (booked before- hand) we would have had the opportunity to advise you of the home-made items that were unavailable.’ The blame was put on us for not complaining to staff, but we do not like to complain in public and it does not excuse a disappointing meal. The word is disappointing, and we will not be returning.

We're regular visitors to The Cricketers, despite living on the opposite side of town - and it's always such a pleasure to spend some time here. It's in a beautiful position overlooking the cricket pitch (hence the pub's name) in the pretty village of Littlewick Green, on the western border of Maidenhead. There's always a friendly welcome, and the pub's clientele is a mixture of locals, dog walkers and ramblers, as well as those who simply enjoy the hospitality of a cosy country pub. The menu here is very affordable and the food very tasty - with plenty of choice for vegetarians such as ourselves, as well as the more traditional dishes. I really enjoyed my mushroom risotto, perfectly complemented with a glass of pino, and the pub had a nice friendly buzz on a Friday evening. The service was good too, and we had everything we needed. The background music is always good too - not too loud, and always creates a pleasant atmosphere. We really enjoyed our evening, and would highly recommend! Looking forward to our next visit.

Friday night supper. Apart from a loud greeting by a drunk customer upon entering, a very pleasant experience. Good choice of menus and wine/drinks. Service was efficient and personal. Thursday lunch not such a great experience. Limited and not enticing set menu (£8 supplement for lamb?!) but one of the dishes was unavailable after we both ordered it so chose off a la carte. One hour later two cod dishes arrived ...delicious but small portions. Yoghurt parfait ordered for dessert was still frozen after yet another wait. Our bill was reduced due to the above but would have preferred a better experience and paid full price! Doubt a return visit will happen as competitive restaurants better at the prices charged.

This restaurant is outstanding. Tonight’s meal was superb, the presentation, flavors and unique, beautifully cooked food made for a foodie experience that was at another level. Very pleasant staff, first class service. We regularly dine here and cannot rate this restaurant highly enough.

Had breakfast at Bills in Windsor. The Garden Plate was lovely. Our server AK was very friendly and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. We were appreciative of a top up of our teapots after an early start to drop our son and his girlfriend at the airport this morning at 5am. Always recommend Bills as somewhere to eat.

Friendly quant traditional village pub, that serves exceptional food. Staff are lovely & very welcoming. We arrived 30 mins early and despite being very busy, they were ready for us. We'll definitely be back.
