Kempton's At Sunningdale Park in Windsor and Maidenhead

We had a delightful dinner at Kemptons in Sundridge Park. The food was delicious, especially the coq au vin, which I highly recommend. There are also great menu options for children. Annemarie, was attentive and friendly, making for a very pleasant evening.

Kempton's was the perfect venue for the recent Celebration of Life reception for my late aunt. From initial contact, visiting to discuss the event, and on the day service nothing could have been better. The staff were all pleasant, efficient and helpful, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was 'just right'. I'm sure a few of our guests who hadn't experienced the delight of Kempton's previously will be visiting again soon - I certainly plan to do just that!

A lovely country house setting in Sunningdale Park. Staff were friendly upon arrival and were quick to seat us. The gentleman that initially greeted us was friendly and didn’t rush us. I was with my elderly Nan who isn’t the quickest of walkers and he was very patient whilst showing us to our table. The young lady that served us the afternoon tea was also professional, kind and accommodating. The food was delicious and served swiftly. Very reasonably priced. A very pleasant afternoon tea made better in such a nice environment with such attentive staff. My only advice for those coming with elderly relatives would be (where possible) to drive to the front of the building and drop them off by the door and then park the car. There is a it of a hill between the car park and the house. Thanks again, hopefully back some point in the new future.

I hosted a bridal afternoon tea for my daughter, there were 19 family, and friends invited. Due to road closures I arrived 2 hours late, very stressed and upset. The staff at Kemptons were very accommodating and made sure everyone was looked after until I got there. They saved the day and everyone said how good they were. The food was lovely. Thank you again to Kemptons staff for making the afternoon such a success. Sorry I didn't get your names but you know who you are.

Good but could be better , fish Friday but when asked for vinegar was told they didn’t have !, having eaten before noticed fish portion has been reduced . The avocado and prawn start looked like a child had presented it.

A lovely experience food was excellent wines were of a good vintage the 4 of us had a fabulous time, staffed were thought full and attentful thank you so much

We were delighted to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary at Kempton's restaurant today! From our arrival, we were made to feel welcome and we were treated to first class service. The staff were all very polite, friendly and professional. A special mention to Anne-Marie for her wonderful hospitality! The venue is beautifully appointed, with tastefully decadent decor. The food is exquisite, with plenty of choice available. We would definitely recommend this venue for fine dining, in particular for special occasions. Thank you!

Lovely ambiance and great food. After a walk round the lake, and a drink in the cocktail bar we were given a table with a view of the spectacular Sunningdale Park grounds. We had a choice of the Friday Fish menu or all day. My partner chose the fish, and I had all day. first course was a smoked haddock tart, small and delicious followed by chicken rillette with a lovely sauce. One fault the vegetables were too al dente undercooked for my liking, and I would never serve Kale with a dainty dish as it is too strong and stringy, and really belongs in a smoothy blender. My Partner had Broccoli soup, very nice, and sea bass which was very tasty. I had the Pinot Blush rose, and my partner had Merlot both good. I think you should book ahead as there are only a few tables and not a lot of staff.

Thank you Kempton's for another fabulous evening! A perfect start to the weekend ... a bottle of Champagne, followed by a delicious meal. Everything was beautifully presented and served by the amazing team... Annmarie, Joanna and Kurrine.

The restaurant positions itself as upscale but service is awful. Had to chase the waitress to get a cocktail, nothing is provided with drinks, had to chase to get dessert menu and all in all. No attention to detail. Table was not cleared properly, crumbs were left on it, all not to be expected of a restaurant in that setting and with those prices. Food is good but nothing special in taste nor presentation. All in all, while setting is very beautiful, not worth it!

Wonderful place in Sunningdale Park, Surrey. A new gated community with an amazing silver service restaurant. Less expensive than some local pubs. Great place to celebrate a special occasion.

The location and atmosphere were amazing, the staff were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the afternoon wasn’t too impressive, it had soggy store bought scones (Which are the main reason to go to afternoon tea), the sandwiches were okay but nothing special and lacked in flavour. The tea selection was very good and well presented with some tasty cakes.

Lovely Sunday lunch in a great location

Came to have a look at Kemptons to have a look at the restaurant and enquire about booking a table. However myself and my mum were accosted by a Sunningdale Park resident before we even got the chance. This resident was incredibly rude and aggressive and proceeded to shout at both of us about how we were not allowed to be there as we were not residents of the development. This completely put us off as we did not feel welcome in the slightest as a result. We unfortunately wont be returning and will advise others not to also.

Kempton's is set in a stunning location. We have been here a number of times as it is exceptional. The welcome that we receive is always so personable - the food is always beautifully presented and the atmosphere unhurried. We thoroughly recommend Kempton's for a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.

This is a quiet elegant restaurant. Friday night is fish night with some interesting choices. I am not a great lover of fish so I chose the daily menu. I had the vegetable soup, which was creamy and delicious with a roll and butter, they do gluten free bread on request. Then had the chicken Supreme delicious tasty and perfectly cooked. There is a south facing terrace in summer with stunning views of Sunninghill Park. Service and wine list is fine, though this is not for you if you are in a hurry, as most main courses are provided individually when ordered. It has definitely become one of our favourite local restaurants.

Kempton’s is a beautiful place and should be a joy to visit. Unfortunately the evening staff let it down. We had dinner in the restaurant with friends. We were greeted by friendly staff upon arrival. However, after being seated at our table, we were ignored for a long time, despite trying to get the staffs attention. We finally received menus and eventually managed to place an order for drinks and food. The staff on duty were not well trained and didn't add to our experience. Drinks were just put on our table, no bottles were opened or served. Food was put on our table, but staff appeared stressed and uninterested. A real shame, as food is very good and at reasonable prices. However the staff let the place down. Lighting is also too bright and soft music was only introduced half way into our meal, which would have been nice from the start, as ambience felt stark, upon arrival. Kempton’s could be and should be wonderful and has the potential to be so, but they need to have much better staff.

It's a bit of false advertising on their website for "fine dining". This is nowhere near a fine dining experience. To be fair, we were raising our eyebrows prior to booking due to much lower pricing than expected. We ordered Two Early Bird two course meals. Disappointingly the food took 40 mins to arrive and we had to ask for the sauce for one of our meals. That took another few mins. Our desserts took a good 20 odd mins to be served after the mains dishes were cleared away. The poor waitress - she was the only one serving 5 tables and she had to keep apologising for the slow kitchen service. She was very polite and tried her best. Couple of points that we raised on the spot: 1. The salad garnish that we had on our mains were not fresh.. they were yellow. 2. The white napkin provided had some black marks on it. Both were off putting in a restaurant. Additionally it is a messy building site to navigate through as there are ongoing building works to this place. This hopefully will be resolved with time. The only honest review on Google about this place was one commented at 11 months ago stating that they were "not fully opened..." They are still not fully open according to the staff today. Food was not exciting but tasted fine - maybe this is “fine“ in what they meant by “fine dining“.

Hidden gem for drinks. Gorgeous place. Food, basic and so overpriced. Fish & Chips 25quid, 4 of us questioned the price, they dropped to £19.50, thick greasy batter, not the best, sadly.

We order the early bird lunch menu. Starter was smoked mackarel with salad. The sauce was very fresh and went very well with the mackarel which is smoky with a strong taste. Main was roasted chicken. Again, I like to sauce - green bean sauce. First time using green bean sauce on chicken. Creamy and tasty. Besides, the historic site is beautiful!

Absolutely stunning inside and out, it looks like a stately home in every aspect. Dining rooms are very clean and the decoration compliments the essence of the building. It really feels that you are in a very exclusive, members only dining establishment. Nice to be greeted by your name upon arrival before having to confirm myself. Made to feel very welcome by the polite, well presented staff with the general ambience ensuring a very pleasant, tranquil evening dining experience. The menu was spot on for us as it was not too fussy, very reasonably priced and excellent quality. Already recommending Kempton's. You will see us again.

We had not booked, but popped in for coffee. The atmosphere and excellent hospitality made it an easy decision to stay longer, so we ordered a meal and spent a lovely afternoon relaxing in the stunning dining room. Thank you to Ronnie and Annmarie who made our visit extra special.

We went for Christmas lunch yesterday 8 of us and our 8 month old granddaughter. I have been before for afternoon tea Boxing Day last year last year which was nice. This was so lovely we had a beautiful round table by the fireplace. The food was top notch. Giovanni was an absolute legend. Compliments to the Chef, he catered for a couple of dietary requirements with no issue.

What an amazing find this was! My friend and I are huge afternoon tea addicts and always looking for new places to try. This came up in my searches and what a lovely place! The location is actually within a retirement community we later learnt, a real hidden gem and the venue itself is so pretty both inside and out! The room we had our afternoon tea in was beautiful with cozy fireplaces and festive decor! And the tea itself as well as the service from the staff was first class. We would one hundred percent come back!

Absolutely fantastic! A beautiful place & the service was second to none, we were served by Joanna & Ronnie, they couldn't do enough for us to make it a special occasion with my friends! Based on their customer service would definitely recommend!

I had a fab festive afternoon tea with my mum. The setting is beautiful and all of the staff we encountered were friendly and attentive. The various teas to choose from were displayed in little tubes which I liked. Much more fun and visually pleasing than a boring old menu! I opted for blackcurrant which smelled and tasted delicious. The afternoon tea included sandwiches with festive fillings that were freshly made and we enjoyed them all. Scones were lovely and warm with plenty of jam and clotted cream provided. The Christmas theme continued with the festive cakes on the top tier. The chocolate log slice was my favourite! Service was prompt but we didn't feel rushed. I would recommend this afternoon tea. The Christmas music was a little quiet.

Having tried all the local restaurants that do Sunday lunch I have to say Kemptons is the best. Food excellent, service polite and attentive. And gorgeous rural area in the middle of Sunningdale Park with views of woodland and park. Situated in a beautiful Georgian building.

Beautiful venue, inside and out. We were married here 8yrs ago when it was a wedding venue and it was such a pleasure to finally come back and see it newly decorated. We had afternoon tea and it was delicious. The Prosecco was also very nice!! Husband ordered vegan afternoon tea so we could have our own each and he enjoyed his too. Didn’t feel rushed to finish our food but also very attentive and polite staff. So beautifully renovated. Will be booking to come back for dinner soon I’m sure! Just wish it was open of an evening later than 8pm.

We enjoyed such a delicious Afternoon Tea. Everything was freshly made and beautifully presented. My friend chose the vegan option and was so impressed with the variety of sandwiches and cakes that had been prepared for her. The customer service was excellent.

Afternoon tea failed to meet our expectations. 1. Had to park in residents reserved parking rather than at the restaurant building. 2. No prosecco although advertised as afternoon tea with unlimited prosecco. Another wine provided. 3. Assam tea not part of the selection of teas. 4. Glasses smeary. 5. Service friendly but amateurish

Very nice fish based Friday menu, the calamari was delicious as was the fish cake with leek. Excellent and very attentive service from Angie our waitress.

Popped in with my wife for a birthday meal on a saturday evening. Fantastic place, excellent food, lovely service, great drinks, felt very calm and amazing value for money (Close to £50 a head for 2 courses plus 2 or 3 cocktails each). Coming back this weekend with a 9 year old in tow for afternoon tea.

Beautiful place set in stunning grounds and a great place to sit in peace and quiet while enjoying afternoon tea. Angie was our server and what a super pleasant young lady, an honour to be served by her. The selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes was just the right amount and with bottomless Prosecco for the afternoon this sealed the deal for another return soon

Angie greeted us with a Beautiful gleaming smile and that set the tone for our afternoon tea here at Kemptons in Sunningdale Park. The grounds are immaculate and a stunning architectural building originally used as a secret service training centre! Anyway the food! Afternoon Tea was very tasty with a selection of well filled finger sandwiches, two types of scones with cream and jam, lastly a selection of little cakes… LOVELY. Today was bottomless Prosecco and unlimited tea, we had Earl Grey. A very place in the countryside that is in a town only 25 minutes from central London… come here and you will not be disappointed

The food was fresh, not particularly exciting, but enjoyable (prawn cocktail followed by fish and chips). The restaurant and surroundings were fabulous and I thought it good value. Will definitely be going back.

Such a Joy to come back to Kemptons. The weather was horrible but the views and Ambience was just as I remember stunning views over Sunningdale Park surrounded by woodland and a lake. The food and wine was top notch and if you like a gin and tonic try the Rhubarb gin subtle flavour not too sweet. Best to book as its getting quite busy

Had a lovely Afternoon tea. sandwiches were really tasty, scones fresh and warm, and cakes really tasty and half of them came home with us because we were full up! The building and rooms are fantastic, what an amazing bar. We were really well looked after by Anne-Marie - thanks for a lovely afternoon

Lovely setting with good staff but their prices are out of sink which will deter some from returning . £19 for a club sandwich on their light menu !!

Kempton’s is in a lovely setting however recent new menu has seen a significant increase in their prices on a number of items . Still worth a visit but rising prices could put people off to return .

Have now eaten twice at Kempton’s and you come away looking forward to returning, lovely ambiance, excellent food and friendly staff. Would recommend anyone to try you won’t be disappointed. My only comment to improve would be to have table linen as they do in their other restaurants elsewhere , it would just set the scene to perfection.

We had our Christmas party there last night. The waiting staff were so attentive, the place looks beautiful and the food was stunning - especially considering the price. An absolute gem. We will be back! Christmas menu £32 for 3 courses and loads of drinks all came in at just over £50 per head!

Just been to the new restaurant Kemptons in the Audley village. Absolutely stunning building and grounds. The food and service is like 5 start treatment. Highly recommended to anyone in the area. 10/10
