As ever, a fantastic lunch at our favourite place to eat.

Excellent Sunday Roast....bottomless veg and pigs and blankets......service especially Laura who was hospital friendly and engaging.......

Food, service, atmosphere, all perfection! What a gem! We've traveled from south wales to do all the pomp and ceremony and see Windsor castle, thought we'd visit this pub in the evening and not only were we very pleasantly surprised by the price, but genuinely the food was incredible! The staff were so nice and welcoming, all of them! And what a nice atmosphere. Well done guys at Greene Oak, smashing it!! 👏

Really excellent food and the service was also excellent. Not always coming over but quick efficient service. We chose two different fish dishes for the main and they were wonderful. The dessert is also excellent especially the sticky toffee pudding a definite for all dessert lovers!! Overall an excellent evening with good food in really nice surroundings will be visiting again.

Half an hour from home, and definitely a favourite. Food always creative and very well cooked. Triple cooked chips superb!

One of our favourites regular lunch venues. Food is always very good, excusing the odd hiccough with not so hot soup and forgetting to bring the sparkling water but... wouldn't stop us eating there again very soon

Over £20 for a burger and chips? And a poor one at that.

We started off quite badly as it took 25 minutes to get a cocktail and beer BUT Lara the German staff lady turned the experience around, took our drinks off the menu and really did well in making our evening a lovely one. This is a lovely pub/restaurant where you can enjoy great food at mid range prices. Sunday's roast lunch was excellent, perfect portion size, and good value. Great service.

Great food and service as always. We had chicken and pork and both were delicious. A bit noisier to normal but some people near us talking very loudly which wasn’t really necessary

this is a great pub serving excellent food with a buzzy atmosphere. staff are efficient and friendly and attentive enough to be there when you need them. Its our second visit and I will be back again. keep up the good work

We went for an early dinner and it was nice to see the pub so busy early. We weren’t in a hurry and there were some big celebratory tables but the staff were unfazed. Lovely welcome, order taken when we wanted, absolutely no rush. Food and drink were excellent. Could not fault. This is not the cheapest place but you get what you pay for.

Excellent and fast service. We had starters and a main course - the roast dinner - we had pork was delicious and plenty of it. Sadly too full up for a pud! 100% recommend a visit.

Yhe staff were friendly, although the Barman did seem to want to speak. Our Waitress was lovely and attentive. InThe food tasted and look delicious, unfortunately most of itcwas cold. Yorkshires, meat and the desserts were all lukewarm. We did ask for the Parsnips to go back as they were very undercooked. They came back very hot, but still undercooked.

You can always be sure of a great Sunday roast here, with good and friendly service. Highly recommend!

We booked and stated we wished to avail ourselves of the January offer of 20% off food. I again reminded the waitress of this when we sat down. Regrettably this was not applied to our bill and as we were in a rush to leave did not pick up on this. A pity as food was good but lack of attention may discourage future bookings

I had lunch here with a friend to celebrate her birthday. We had a delicious meal, with excellent, friendly but not intrusive service and to our surprised delight my friend was brought a delicious complimentary cake on a plate with Happy Birthday written on it . Will certainly return.

Always provide our usual table. Attendance is great and food brilliant.

Sunday roast quality of sirloin was poor. Also my crab salad was mediocre. Had a great evening meal the previous week. Not consistent. It was really the terrible sirloin quality and overall poor food on an Sunday which was disappointing.

Festive 3-Course Menu – Great Food & Service Visited Greene Oak for a Christmas work dinner and opted for their festive 3-course menu. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. The event was well-organized with the tables set beautifully, and the service was excellent throughout the evening. Starters: I had the onion soup and a cheese croquette. The soup was okay, but I couldn’t finish it. However, the croquette—though there was only one—was absolutely delicious. Main: The beef shoulder with mash, veg, and braising sauce was the star of the meal. The beef was cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful. It paired wonderfully with the mash and sauce. My only wish? A slightly larger portion. Dessert: The berry cheesecake was fantastic! It was well-balanced, indulgent, and I couldn’t find a single fault. Onsite car parking was a bonus, making the whole experience even more convenient. Would happily recommend Greene Oak for festive dining or any special occasion.

Chicken main was dissapointing in that it came with a few mushrooms and two leaves of innedible cabbage. Chips were very good but were an extra, but still felt lacking vegetables.

A birthday treat for our son, a young 34yr old. Service and food was excellent, an enjoyable couple if hours. Will be back.

Another fabulous lunch at the Greene Oak. My friend and I have visited this restaurant several times, it never disappoints. A delightful menu with interesting options and fantastic staff. Today I had white onion soup with truffled croquette, roast Scottish hake and vanilla cheesecake. This set menu was just £32 for 3 courses… or £27 for 2. Beautiful food at reasonable prices. A gem of a restaurant.

We love dining here. The staff are always very attentive and helpful.

It’s a great location and well staffed but the menu is limited (dishes served very rich and celeriac risotto was cold the waitress explained it was the cream!!), she did offer to replace but it’s not the waitresses job to explain the reason why it’s served cold! So go on change the menu up make it more shareable as I’m sure a lot of the customers are not regulars.

It was my first visit to the Green Oak we have wanted to go for a while and it did not disappoint. Such a lovely place we were greeted warmly and had a lovely table. The car park was busy it looked like there was a lot of people but inside it was spacious with plenty of room. The service was first class so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious beautifully cooked we had the fish and chips. It was my birthday and I was given complimentary sweet treat which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend a visit and we will definitely return.

Had a family Christmas get-together, great service, and attention (that's covered by service charge). Nice food overall, could do with a little more on the dinner for the price, most of it was tasty, not sure all was freshly cooked as potatoes were hard inside and out and you just got a couple (2) sliced carrots and parsnips. But enjoyed overall, guess its harder for them dealing with a larger party. If I was looking to splash out a bit on a nice dinner, I would likely try again, maybe not as a group, just 2 or 4.

Had the Festive Menu for £38pp but wish we hadn’t. Soup & charcuterie starters were ok, turkey and beef mains both average. Sticky toffee pudding ok but the vanilla cheesecake was poor. A much better option is the standard (bottomless) roast dinner (avg £23.50) which we have never had any issues with and we’ve had many times before. The staff are always fantastic but on this occasion we were disappointed with the food.

Food was really nice, cooked well and tasted great, however disappointing the food portions seemed kids like size, wouldn't mind so much but at £26 for a kids size shepherd's pie, just abit much, it reminded us of a wedding lunch, hiked price and half the portion. Service was really good friendly, and quick. Service charge automatically added onto the bill for a table of 2, is just a cheek we thought. The pub itself, a nice place to be.

Love coming here for a drink. Arrived and they had a private party. Said we could only sit outside in the freezing cold, despite the restaurant section having loads of empty tables. Coming on Christmas Day and really looking forward to it. As long as we are sat inside. 🤣🤣

Great service., atmosphere and food. Abley served by Abby who looked after us admirably. Just a slight delay in the deserts which can be forgiven as the restaurant was quite busy. Otherwise all good and worth another visit.

Disappointed on two fronts: - staff seemed so busy they were unable to give attention when serving and were just looking to move on to the next table. - booked a table and paid a £60 deposit on booking When the bill arrived this wasn’t automatically included - why not? Should be automatic that on arrival our booking got linked to the reservation and the bill automatically linked showing the deposit. When raising this there was no question and -£60 added - but shouldn’t have been needed to be raised. Interested to hear your response on this.

Great food from set lunch menu 6 diners all very satisfied Excellent value

Superb food and very attentive service. Disappointed for them that it was so empty on a Sunday but hopefully explained by the horrendous weather that evening! Yes - it's expensive - expect to pay £50 each if you have a little tipple and 3 courses. Does that represent value for money? For a special occasion, in my opinion, it most certainly does. If that is a reasonable pricing point for you, then you can't do much better in terms of quality. For those that care about such things the kitchen provided us with a quite sensational vegan meal for one of our party. Absolutely recommended.

Food was pretty and tasty but not enough explanation on the menu so left lacking. Prices are not cheap and service was slow.

My wife and our two boys (aged 6 and 9) went for an early dinner. The food was excellent! It arrived quickly, was well cooked and not greasy at all. My two boys are usually fussy but raved about their meals! My wife is also a coeliac and lactose intolerant but the restaurant were great at adapting dishes to cater for her allergies and intolerances. Great atmosphere, attentive staff and excellent food - we’ll definitely be going back!

Dining with girl friends on a Wednesday night so not busy. Excellent food. Great service but not too intrusive. I had three courses and finished them all which I never normally do. I'd recommend it for small or large groups. We will definitely be going back.

What a lovely dining experience! We met our family - it was half way between our two homes! The staff were welcome and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble - they altered the menu for our grandchildren, and ensured that our daughter in law had food to suit her dietary needs. We all agreed that we hadn't had such a delicious Sunday lunch in a long time! Well done Greene Oak! The icing on the cake, so to speak, was when they brought out a dinner plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate , a brownie with ice cream and a candle on top and proceeded to join the family in singing!!!

Roast dinner at 5pm on a sunday. Plates warm, food barely warm, potatoes horrible and tough. Expensive at between £21-£30 for a basic cold roast dinner. Service and atmosphere excellent. Shame the food was so poor.

Incredible Sunday Roast - possibly the best we’ve ever eaten! We had the sharing feast for two and the crumble, both of which were to die for.

The bar staff were very welcoming. Lovely outside space. The live singer (Ed Sheeran) was fabulous. The menu looked enticing, though we did not eat. Walking from the marina was quite hazardous due to there being no paths to walk on.

I usually never have to add seasoning but every course totally lacked any seasoning
