Just NO! So booked a “deluxe room” so far from deluxe as to not be funny…Arrived at 3pm room not ready, well ready but told to wait in bar until “housekeeping had signed off”- finally got into room after waiting another 30 minutes for bellman to help me with luggage up (no diss btw n bellman, they have no service elevator nor do they have a luggage trolly)- First night the a/c (which is controlled centrally) goes out in our room (only it seems) at 4 am- reported it in the morning- came back it is still out (please note heat wave- 80 plus in room- windows only open a couple of inches) - switched rooms- a/c working but look at photos NOT the deluxe I paid for all all! Brick Wall is the view!!!) - Told by Eric (very polite young man- all of 25- totally on his own as weekend manager) that this smaller room with a view 2 feet away from a brick wall- see photo) is a deluxe I was given a refund of 50 pounds for a 2 night stay of over 500….yeah really… just avoid it is a shame on Hilton and this branch that is so shabby! (Btw this is our second room as the a/c quit working during heat wave, room was over 80 degrees- so this was the best they could offer!)

expensive,chips were not very nice,and the fish espeacially the rock was terrible all batter and what fish their was brownish not nice.wont use again.

Food was ok. Order at bar, take out your own cutlery. Garden and play area for children. Dog friendly in and out

Went for Sunday Carvery after spotting the sign when driving through the village a few days before. Very accommodating when booking by email, we were greeted by the landlord and spoken to by both the landlord and landlady a number of times throughout our meal to check we were ok, enjoying our meal and to share details about the pub and upcoming events. A most enjoyable afternoon.

Great Sunday lunch with friends and our two dogs. Friendly and welcoming pub. We will be back soon. Good beer and super comfort food.

We booked a table here to watch the champions league final. Arrived at 6.30pm and had meal before the game, everything was cooked perfectly. The meal was very tasty and set us up for the night. Table 21 was great just in front of the big tvs, best viewing position in the place. The match was superb and there was really good atmosphere. Very good night.

After reading the very inviting comprehensive website I called to make a breakfast reservation in The Lounge at 9.30am. I was told by a very supercilious telephone operator that this is not possible ...it is 1st come 1st serve before 12.30pm which is not listed on the very comprehensive website.I then asked for other options and was told very superciliously that there were none.I expressed my disappointment in this not being listed on said website and she didn't give a darn. Well shes getting paid regardless.

Stayed in the area and visited 4 times for meals. Mia made us very welcome. Lovely meals great price. Thought we would have a Sunday lunch so booked for 1.15. Sat down at 1.10. Waitress took our order and we waited and waited. After 2.15 with no food we decided to go only to be told that we had had our meals. The cutlery was still clean and sitting there. More or less calling me a liar. They said it was delivered to the wrong table. We were given a complimentary ploughman's lunch. Was looking forward to a lovely roast

The Crown was ok. It does seem expensive for what it is. My sandwich had very ordinary sliced white bread, one corner of which was slightly stale! The filling was nice as was the slaw and fries. It just felt like new management from when I had much more enjoyed it in the past. So, ok only.

We had a lovely meal. We all had the mackerel pate to start which was delicious. The interior is classy and comfortable. The staff are friendly and professional. It's not cheap, but is probably worth paying for. I'm vegetarian and the choice is limited. For vegans, it doesn't provide any real choice. I think this could and should be rectified as it is easy to modify the menu.

Ansh was an amazing server as was the host whose name we didn't get. Amazing last lunch in the UK with family. Thanks for always being brilliant. Amazing gluten free pancakes were a hit!
