The White Hart in East Hampshire

My friends and I now have The White Hart as our go to place for excellent meals..service and at the right price. Keeping the quality each and every visit is difficult but The White Hart does just that and its a pleasure to visit. The staff of course are part of that excellence with the back room staff not forgotten. I can highly recommend a visit Lunch and Evening and Sunday Lunch is the best in the area. Enjoy.

I stayed at the hotel and had dinner and breakfast. The rooms are lovely and spacious, and very comfortable. Dinner was tasty and very reasonable and breakfast (which was included in the price) was one if the best I've had at a hotel. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and I look forward to staying next time I'm in the area.

A fantastic pub and great food. They need to change the menu, we go often and it’s in need of an update as it’s been the same for years! Put a salad on too please! We love you guys and want to come more often but the food gets a bit samey.

Went here yesterday for lunch with a friend who was a former chef and has worked in some of the top restaurants around the world from london to dubai we both had the 10oz rump steak i work out of smithfields meat market in london and we both thought that as it was shaped like a fillet steak that it was probably a parva rump ? which is really totally irrelevant to my post just wanted to say that we both agreed it was probably one of the best steaks we had ever eaten so keep on doing what your doing Great pub Great polite staff lovely pub Happy days 👍

This is a gem, this is possibly the best Sunday Lunch available at the price. First, and from a Yorkshireman, let me say the Yorkshire Puddings are the best I have tasted outside Yorkshire. My two friends and myself chose Beef and one of my friends and I had Mushroom for starter which we both commented on the originallaty and we both enjoyed. The Beef was magnificent with the knife slicing through with ease the accompanying veg were just right and the entire plate was just enough and well presented. With the Beef a little extra two pints of lager and two large Red wines a bill of £105.00 for the above was well worth it. My friends and I can highly recommend The White Hart.

A lovely stay at the White Hart, Holybourne. We stayed for two nights, and found the accommodation, food and team to be excellent! Having stayed multiple times at hotels in Alton (Swan and Alton House), this is definitely several steps ahead on all fronts. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Been sat at the white harts bar for 20years+ But the bar staff and the owner for the last 2 and a half years has made this pub nothing but perfection. Non stop laughs and gentlemen advise. The food is out of this world and I couldn’t recommend a better pub for first dates/family dinner/boys on the piss

Booked the White Hart for a night without any notice or knowledge of the pub, and was completely bowled over. Staff were attentive and welcoming, room was comfy and fully stocked, and the ribs were amazing. Brekkie was lovely and a proper coffee too....I will be back!

We had a lovely overnight stay at The White Hart. It's one of the most hospitable places I have stayed in. The room was comfy and very clean. Their breakfast menu is top-notch with everything prepared freshly to order. There are no lukewarm buffets here; a pet hate of mine! And very generous. Unfortunately, I was in the area for a specific purpose that is unlikely to be repeated, so I might not pass that way again, but if I do, I'll be staying at The White Hart again!!

Cozy pub with a modern touch. Lovely staff and amazing food. Reasonably priced. Brilliant place to visit with friends and family, live music on occasionally which makes the atmosphere even more enjoyable.

Me and my partner stayed one night and enjoyed an incredible dinner with incredible service. The staff were kind, polite and very welcoming. The room was also very nice, it was clean and cozy and very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was also very tasty and the service in the morning was equally as good as the night before. We will be returning for more delicious food in the future.

Food was ok, Burgers were extremely dry. Not worth the price.

We absolutely loved the atmosphere of the place, the food was outstanding, we had the feather steak and ribs for dinner, outstanding! Stayed overnight, the rooms are immaculate, clean, very warm and comfortable. Was made to feel super welcome, I highly recommend!

The service was exceptional, it's a gem of a place that truly understands the essence of great hospitality.

We chose The White Hart purely on reviews as we are unfamiliar with the area. Advance booking was straightforward via the website and the pub easy to find just outside of Alton. The car park is behind the pub with parking also available on the road. Service was attentive and personal. We all really enjoyed our lunch, the food was amazing and from ingredients locally sourced, a great overall experience. Will absolutely return

Lovely meal with a friend. Great bits were the food and the service. Food took a while but very busy but staff were so nice and welcoming I would go back just for them. Top tip: at busy times difficult to park so be prepared to park on the road.

We are visiting our children in UK, from Romania, and celebrating a special birthday we’ve decided to go to White Hart in Holybourne. Our children were here last year as well but for my husband and I was the first time! And let me tell you, we’ve been very impressed by everything and everyone! From the amazing looking and tasty food, the pub and room to drinks and service, everything was of great quality and good prices. We stayed for two nights, and we’ve enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner, and even Sunday Roast! DELICIOUS ! Also everyone working there and the owners were all very accommodating and friendly! We hope to come back soon!

We booked out all the rooms for a family and friends birthday weekend. The owners couldn’t have been more accommodating they went above and beyond. The food was delicious really great value for money. The staff couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. We will definitely go again.

What an amazing place White Hart is! Beautiful, spotless and functional rooms, with the best toiletries and most fluffy towels! Friendly and professional staff serving the tastiest and beautifully presented food! Our family of five stayed for two nights and had the opportunity to try their breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday Roast! We couldn’t fault any of the dishes! This was our second visit, a year and a half later and we are very happy to have returned and looking forward to our next visit!

Went for a lunch on Monday 6th November. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was getting busy (always a good sign). Choice of wine/ales was good, and service was quick, attentive but unobtrusive - very nice indeed. The food was excellent - good choice, good value Monday special prices on steaks, good specials board, and very well cooked and delicious. Definitely one to visit again in the near future! Well-placed for a family meet up, so we will be back.

We stayed at the White Hart before a family wedding, and it was such a lovely stay. We were greeted by such friendly staff who showed us to our room and answered any questions we had. The room was so clean and felt very homely. Bathroom/Shower was super clean and they also had really good tea/coffee facilities. The beds were super comfy, and it was lovely and quiet. We had a really great evening meal and breakfast the next morning too. Thanks again for great hospitality!

Good food and a professional service.

Half term for a tired old teacher was soooo cheered by the White Hart's selection of 'sipping spirits'! A damp October Monday was wonderfully enlivened by the addition of a measure of organic, smooth tequila. Food was and always is, great - so pleased to have a practically perfect pub, within walking distance.

My husband and I really like this Hotel. The owners couldn’t be more helpful. We had a lovely welcome and we felt very much at home. A really friendly place to stay.

Fabulous in every way. This is the genuine article when it comes to what a stay in an English country pub should be. Good ambiance and friendly service. We both had the Korean double chicken burger and chips. It was tasty and adequate, but nothing special. At £15 it was overpriced: I would have expected at least some form of salad garnish. Hence the three star rating.

Whilst not the cheapest menu there is a good range of dishes at various price points. The staff were really helpful and attentive. The food was amazing across the board. Generous portions and excellent presentation. I had the fish and chips which was enormous and delicious. A really nice atmosphere and good drinks on hand. Highly recommended.

Have been going to the White Hart fot about 16 years now and always enjoyed having a drink or food. The current team is absolutely fabulous and the food is fantastic. They are very dog friendly and they accomedate our local crafts club every week. It is a beautiful country pub worth a visit.

A fabulous, friendly, welcoming pub, with the best coffee and cake! I'll always invite friends to meet up with me at my local pub as it's such a great place. The outside seating at the front is a super spot to watch the world go by on a warm summer evening too.
