We hired the private room for a surprise party and it was a fantastic experience. The room was great and it was really easy to organise plans with the team beforehand. The staff on the night were great and Charlie our barman was fantastic! Would definitely recommend.

We had roasts here. The portion sizes were very big and they gave a lot of meat and vegetables. The taste and the service was average, and they didn’t have condiments such as cranberry sauce. The average price was £23/ person. The pub interior was nicely decorated and felt clean, but was very noisy.

Loooove the Old Queens Head, my favourite pub! Everyone’s so nice in there, always give the best service, and do the most delicious cocktails and food, also really good for London prices, they have a mad deal on Wednesday with £6 cocktails all night 👌

The cocktails were amazing as were the staff but the music was far too loud, I was screaming at those around me and they still couldn’t hear a thing.

Lively pub for Sunday roast. Recommend reservations. If you like cocktails try the burnt pear old fashioned. Also loved the apple crisp and toffee pudding for dessert.

Went for a Sunday roast which cost £17.9, at 3pm and they were still quite crowded but on a sunny day, we were able to sit in the outside smoking area which was quiet and cute. Mint sauce was so refreshing, and the Asahi was great as always

Decided to get a roast today at the Old Queens head. Firstly we managed to get seated as soon as we came into the door, as other people were leaving which was good. Although, I would say it’s hit or miss on whether you manage to find a seat if you don’t book before, because they were pretty full. Got the seat right next to the door but the cold air didn’t mind us as it was rlly warm in the pub. Food came about 15 mins after ordering, I had the mushroom wellington and my sister had the beef. All round the food was delicious, potatos could have been a little hotter but it was a large portion and I can not recommend the mushroom wellington enough! As for drinks I had half pint of Camden hells. Atmosphere was amazing and the music was great. Staff, especially the women at the door, were also incredibly kind. I would defo recommend this pub for a quick drink or a roast whilst on a stroll though Isington!

Had a meal with the family, opted for the roast, but was quite disappointed. It was excessively salted to the extent that the flavor of the meat was overshadowed. My wife sent it back, but the replacement we received was undercooked and excessively bloody and salty. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

Great Sunday roast! This was my first time getting a roast in London and it did not disappoint. All the trimmings were great and it was a really good portion. Tried the beef and lamb - the beef was a bit chewy but the lamb was incredible. Make sure to make a reservation because it is really busy!

As a tourist and not knowing the area, I was walking around and looking for a pub to have a drink, I didn't know that we had to pay to enter a traditional British pub, so far so good, but I didn't know that there was a huge queue outside to enter, I really thought it was the smoking area, so I tried to enter and immediately the security guard at the door was really rude to me, saying that I had to go to the queue, I apologized because as a tourist and without knowing the place, I really didn't know that it was a waiting line, I really thought it was the smoking area, since there were a lot of people smoking at the time, but he continued to humiliate me in front of people. I felt so embarrassed and just left... I didn't get to see the place, maybe next time. However, the place needs to reevaluate the conduct of security guards at the entrance...

Facilities in the toilet were very dirty.

Partner came here with her friends for a Sunday roast. It was only the second time she took our 12 week baby out on her own. After eating and paying their £130 bill they were told that the table was needed and asked to leave. My partner was in the middle of heating a bottle and asked if she could feed the baby first, was told no and literally kicked out. Spent the next 30min in the cold looking for somewhere warm to feed a screaming hungry baby. The staff at The Old Queens Head are 100% to blame for this!!!!! They had only been at the table for an hour and a half, and had spent a fair bit of money, I'm sure the staff could have allowed a few extra minutes. I understand that there is more family friendly places to go, however when the booking was made they inquired about bringing a baby and small pram an were told this wouldn't be a problem

This place demonstrates the dangers of AI. If you asked ChatGPT to “create me a club night”, the Old Queens Head is what you would get. Only those who are AI literate should attend. Does have cloakroom facilities.

Beautiful pub/bar just proving that it’s possible to modernise a pub without it making it look generic and characterless. Drinks prices were very reasonable for the area as well

I came here for dinner and had a banging roast. 10/10! We had loads of sides and everything was cooked scrumptiously. Had a bottle of orange wine which was lovely. The venue was also great and would defo come back.

Had some large nights here. I’ve really enjoyed myself every time! From the dance floor to the karaoke, it’s all been fantastic. Not so much for the hangover though

I've been to many a pub and this is by far the best pub in London

How are you gonna advertise an event as 18+ then when we spent money on travel and everything to get to the event you tell us that it's 20+ only that's completely ridiculous

Went to see the Super Bowl, the staff was very friendly ans efficient.

I hosted my birthday party at the old queens head in angel in the upstairs function room. The venue was great but the standout feature was the friendly and fun service from Charlie. He looked after my group made the night so much more fun. Thank you charlie! He deserves a pay rise

I went here for the Always Sunny quiz and won the £100 bar tab! The quiz was a lot of fun and definitely well planned so very impressed with that :) that was on a weeknight so we didn’t have to pay entry. We came back to spend our tab on a weekend and had to pay entry which is odd to me for a bar but that’s how it is in London for some reason. The security outside made my friend throw out her bubble tea 😭 I understand that there are regulations about outside drinks but that seems so harsh to me! Obviously I get she couldn’t bring it in but then they said the pavement outside was the bar premises and she couldn’t drink it there either! It felt a bit like we were being policed by the staff in there, security telling us to move out the way and queue in the right places etc. We really weren’t being nuisances so it felt a bit like being at a year 7 dance. Otherwise the inside of the bar is beautiful, love the interior design, the candles on the tables, and the drinks were good. Bar staff was friendly and the vibes upstairs were good.

I made a reservation here a week in advance. We came right on time. We were then told to wait 5 minutes and eventually ended up waiting for over 20 minutes. When I followed up with the host, she said she did not know when the table would be ready. We did not end up eating there because we were already really hungry. I was very disappointed with the service, especially because I was entertaining relatives who are visiting from another country. It was very disrespectul because we saw some people being seated despite not making a reservation.

We had an amazing Sunday Roast lunch at the Old Queens Head. The place is beautiful, so characteristic, especially the second floor. We ordered a beef and a vegan Sunday roast, and then apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding. Staff were really nice and accommodating. The only downside was the price of the vegan Sunday roast being the same as the meat one. It should have been 2-3 £ cheaper since it did not come with the Yorkshire pudding nor an expensive meat.

Made reservation, waited for 20 mins to be told we couldn’t get a table. Service could be better.

The venue is nice, had fun with kareoke in the private room. Had a work party there recently. The food, not sure what to say. I have dietary requirements so I have food restrictions. Sweetcorn was the only safe gluten free food to eat, but I can't eat corn. Make it make sense. In 2024 you would of thought there would be better options for those who live a gluten free lifestyle? Updating the menu would be the first step.

This is a great pub. Looks beautiful inside and out, has an upstairs which is sometimes much quieter. Has a nice little garden. The only issue is that it gets really busy and very hard to get a table but that just shows it's popular!

What a great Pub!! Warm, welcoming and still one of the best burgers in London......

The roast chicken was a succulent delight. Roasted to perfection, the chicken was juicy with a flavourful and crispy skin. The sides, including perfect roast potatoes with carrots and parsnips and a banging cauliflower cheese added a delightful balance. The cozy pub atmosphere including the roaring fire enhanced the experience, making it a quintessentially enjoyable Sunday roast in the heart of London. The staff were exceptional especially Lilah. We'll be back

Great atmosphere and the best value Sunday lunch I’ve had in London! Turned up hoping for a space as a walk in and we got sat straight away, and we were served so promptly. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the cauliflower cheese, but other than that it was excellent!

Best spot for a spontaneous night out! Had never been to this pub before but spotted the Lucky Chip sign on my way home from work on a Friday, thought and pop in quickly but didn’t end up leaving till 2am! The Lucky Chip burgers were excellent as ever. I had the El Chapo which never misses, but the tater tots were a new discovery and I’ll definitely be returning for those! Service was incredible too, my bartender was so friendly and had a great cocktail knowledge, making me a tequila espresso martini that’s not even on the menu! She also told us about the weekend club night upstairs which is where we ended up spending most of the night! DJ was great and played and kept the crowd going all night! Such a fun and spontaneous night out, can’t recommend enough! :)

Came here on a Sunday for a roast with some friends the food was amazing. Service was great my food came out a bit later than expected but, The corn fed roast chicken was absolutely stunning when it came out. No complaints at all. I would definitely recommend.

Charming pub with a great gin room/club upstairs. Lots of fun

Upon arrival you will be greeted with some of the most friendly staff smiling and waving to let you know you have arrived at home. I initially came for a beer, but after looking at their extensive cocktail menu- I had to try their ‘Burned Pear Old Fashion’- paired with a caramelised burned pear! After 10mins of being there, I saw an array of burgers that looked and smelled amazing. I was suggested the ‘El Chappo Burger’ which was nominated for best burger in London for 2 years (after trying it; no wonder why). If you have not been there, GOOOOO!

Great value for money and one of the best menus for a Sunday roast! There were so many options- chicken, beef, lamb and veg. Really well priced. The restaurant was packed so definitely recommend making a reservation if you plan on visiting.

De toute évidence une expérience catastrophique… pas de possibilité de mettre la veste au vestiaire alors que nous avons demandé préalablement si cela était possible et la réponse était oui, le staff était malpoli, dans les escaliers on a laissé un monsieur de la sécurité passer et il nous a repris en disant qu’on devait pas être stationné là (alors qu’on l’a juste laissé passer).

Visited the Old Queens head earlier the week for few cocktails. They have a deal for £6 cocktails on Wednesdays. I loved all their cocktails of their menu so it was hard to pick but at the end I had a spicy margarita and the fluff gin sour. My friend had a fig negroni which was mind blowing and a lychee martini. We sat next to the fire place that was on and loved every moment of our time. Definitely recommending to visit this place!

Avevo molte aspettative per questo pub così cool. Il lacale davvero bellissimo, ma abbiamo avuto una brutta esperienza. Un capello nel nostro dolce, per scusarsi ci hanno offerto il Sunday Roast che avevamo ordinato, ma comunque esperienza rovinata.

To be honest, it was a joke, the bouncer couldn’t give us a reason why we couldn’t get in. He then went on to call our group dodgy. A terrible experience especially that Christmas is so close. Not happy please contact me so I can escalate this.

Cloakroom attendant needs to go back to school to learn how to count—gave three tickets, returned two jackets. Asked us to wait until all jackets are cleared. Luckily some folks helped us retrieve it by insisting the attendant to retrieve the jacket. Give your tickets one by one and get your jackets one by one before they consider hiring someone who can count up to 3.

Really liked this place. Food was very good and good value for a London venue. Easy to get to also.

Very low hygiene standards, they pour the pot water that was on other tables into the one they bring you. Having witnessed this scene, I asked for a bottle of water that arrives open (perhaps decanted). I asked to have a closed bottle to be opened in front of me. I don't make any controversy, the waitress talked about that with the person at the bar (the manager?) who responds very badly to me as a very rude and unprofessional person. Lastly, a hair inside the cake, so we were not wrong with our feeling. They tried to compensate with the bill, but the end result remains terrible.

Absolutely beautiful pub! Gorgeous historic interiors and dim lighting which makes it very cosy. Has two event spaces upstairs for pub quizzes, life drawing, etc.

Angel who was amazing took our reservation over the phone for Sunday and even called us back to say there was a cancellation for an hour earlier if we preferred. Bar staff were amazing serving staff were amazing and couldn't do enough. Only moan was not enough potatoes and lighting a bit too dark for less than perfect eyes.The habanero sauce was HOT HOT HOT and I love spicy food. Food portions fabulous, lamb amazing 10/10 experience. Well done. We WILL return

My friends and I were refused entry to this discriminatory establishment purely down to genetic reasons (the ratio of us who possessed XX chromosomes was apparently not sufficient), which were out of our control. Don't bother pre-purchasing a ticket to come here as you'll likely still be refused entry for whatever reason they fancy making up on the day. Also, we saw a girl from another group leaving Old Queens Head in floods of tears screaming to not go in there - save yourself time and money and avoid this place like the plague.

The bartenders are very nice, the decor is one of a kind and I like it, it’s interesting. The roast dinner is AMAZING, I recommend going to the old queen’s head.

A very cool bar, we arrived at a good time as it became busy (but not crowded). A bustling environment that was well handled by the staff who were all friendly. A classic style pub with a very modern attitude.

Amazing bar/pub for a night out. Good dance floor upstairs with RnB, hip hop, bashment, and afrobeats playing all night. Great DJ here. Drink prices are typical for London.

Came here on a Saturday night - bit busy for my liking - but nonetheless they still gave me an exceptional pair of cocktails - a classic negroni and a house cocktail they call the “burnt pear old fashioned” - my partner is a seasoned old fashioned drinker and I can safely say this blew their socks off! Great recommendation by a bartender called Merlin. Didn’t order food but everything seemed in order- we stayed for the whole night and were suprised at the delightful variety throughout different floors of the pub over the course of the night! Will be coming back soon!

Saturdays here are incredible, impeccable service. The bartender Finn was amazing, he suggested some cocktails for my friends and I, everyone loved them. Definitely worth a visit.

Sunday roasts are unbelievably good here

Had the beef roast dinner here. Everything was cooked great but I really didn’t feel like I got my moneys worth. For £16.90 you get 3 roast potatoes, a couple carrots, a single parsnip, a splash of greens, a few slices of beef and a large Yorkshire pudding all drowned in a lake of gravy. I was still hungry when I finished it and was left rather disappointed. The interior however was lovely, couldn’t fault it. It is a ideal pub to go to for drink and social.

Best Roast I even had!!! It’s so tasteful and massive portion. We also got cauliflower cheese and pigs and blankets and were also great. The staff are amazing greeted us with a big smile and looked after very well. Their cocktails also are awesome. I started with a Bloody Mary and also tried their fluff gin sour! My friend is boring and got a non alcoholic beer!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Hearty tasting and brilliantly presented roast. Had the Wellington, a must try! Finished off with some warming desserts. Nice way to finish the week off, till next week!
