Wonderful traditional pub with great decoration and a nice little courtyard garden. Sunday lunch is particularly good.👍🏾

Went for vegetarian roast it was amazing !! Highly recommend for a veggie roast in London and the cauliflower cheese is a personal fav ! The cocktails are also out of this world especially the plum marg, amazing friendly service will deffo be coming back :) They also host a really good quiz night!!

Was really wowed by the food here, which is at a really great price compared to most pubs. Not sure if the chef used an Indian influence for the fried chicken and gravy, but the flavours were fantastic.

On Mondays, there’s a comedy night — highly recommended! I came to this pub for the first time tonight with a group of friends and the atmosphere, food, and drinks were all 10/10 ( must try their Paloma) Shoutout to the staff for their service!!

Lovely place to go for food. Me and my girlfriend got here via a youtuber who had many vlogs regarding food in London. So for our weekend out we decided to come here. First impression is that it is a real old authenthic place that you must visit. Their charisma and decoration are unique. We dont bump into much of these places in the heart of London. (Speaking from a tourist perspective) Their food was amazing and this is something that I miss in Amsterdam! Their dish was soo nice that it overwhelmed me. I had to ask the waitress how I was supposed to eat it. Combine some items or not? Their staff was amazing. There was a lady who informed us how the local people eat the famous meal. Unfortunately I forgot the name of the dish ☹️ but back to the staff. She was really friendly and helpful. Wish that more people had her positive vibes/mindset. She is a huge fan of manga if i am not mistaken. So if you read this..you are a great employee! Hope you guys will open a new restaurant in Amsterdam!

Love the decor, the vibe, the staff and the bargain cocktails on Wednesdays. Delicious Sunday roasts too. Has great seating arrangements and definitely the charm of a classic pub where you can just spend hours in the evening without realising

The venue is beautiful, the music is great and the drinks taste good. The club upstairs is a must-visit for a night out but if you want a chill drink, the downstairs pub has a relaxed but filled vibe. Shoutout to Marcus for hooking me up with a great night. Would happily go again :)

First time visiting from Manchester trying to find a nice pub with a good vibe and had a lovely time! The lady on the bar last night around 7-8 o’clock was so lovely! I had a plum margarita that she suggested and it was sooo good! Thankyou for the great hospitality will 100% be back! :)

Had the beef sunday roast in their 2nd floor. Big portion, decent price and one of the best roasts I have in the area. Would come back for more!

Such a great pub! We were there for the Sunday Roast meal and had the vegan Wellington roast. Incredibly delicious!! The beer and wine were also very good and the service staff was attentive and friendly. The ambience is fantastic and beautiful!

Phenomenal pub. The staff are all passionate and knowledgeable about what they make. The roast is always great and everyone is attentive and helpful. Tonight we got 6£ cocktails which was awesome. Oktawian was a great host. Josh was a fab bartender. The new Bridget Jones film was filmed here too!

I was quite disappointed by the vegan roast, first of all it's the same as the vegetarian one with less items but you pay the same price, which is always a bit upsetting. But also it wasn't very tasty, the gravy wasn't flavourful and the main pastry (with mushrooms and greens) was very soggy. The roasted veggies were good but the portion was rather small, overall it's expensive for what you get!

Visited the old queens head for some food and drinks. Served some lovely drinks by Octavian and Rachel and had a lovely burger served by Gabby. Catered to dietary requirements and double checked everything was all good for us when served. Very good experience and lovely atmosphere, would definitely visit again!

This has quickly become one of my favorite little pubs to visit when I’m in the area. The warm atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff make it a great spot to relax and enjoy.

Attended a private party in the 3rd floor playroom. Victoria was our bar tender and she was fantastic. Couldn't be more helpful and taking great care of everyone. The food was delicious and the venue had a great atmosphere.

amazing sunday roast in north london!! my friends and i visited the old queens head in islington for a sunday roast last weekend and had a lovely time. everyone who worked there was so kind, extremely helpful and just made us feel so at home. we were even asked for feedback on what we thought they could improve on (to which we responded not a lot!) that i think was such great touch. the chicken and roasties were perfectly cooked with decent portion sizes. i am always really hesitant to order chicken whilst im out eating but they hit the nail on the head! the atmosphere was fantastic with really good music. they also have an upstairs ‘club’ area for friday/saturday nights which i’m looking forward to going back to. the pub garden was also really cute! great drink selection and cocktails as well. in total i spent £33 for the roast and two drinks which i think is fairly decent for london. i will absolutely be back! ⭐️

Merlin was so fab, he made our experience so fun and amazing. He has great energy and also is a fantastic bartender. Old Queens Head is an extremely versatile spot for any occasion!

Pretty good prices considering it’s a pub in Central London. They have club nights on the weekends and I had a great time. The venue itself is very nice too, it looks like an old building but in a good way

Been here quite a few times now for different occasions. One of the most memorable ones was the roast. the food was great but the service was even better you can tell they truly care. The cocktail selection was phenomenal too, had to force myself to slow down in there

Fantastic place for a drink at any time of day, service was great and staff are helpful with anything you may need. Will be back often. Rhys was a big help with our table and suggested some great drinks to try. Highly recommend.

Nice old-school boozer with a modern vibe. We were greeted by an array of smiles, and the staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about their beers. They allowed me to try a few while informing me of some local beers they offer.

The Old Queen’s Head is a must-visit if you’re ever in the area. The atmosphere is fantastic, and they’ve got an excellent selection of drinks and food. I’ve enjoyed both laid-back evenings and lively live music nights there. 10/10, highly recommend!

Dinner was delicious, and the atmosphere was super warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and helpful, will definitely be returning in the near future.

My husband and I came in on Monday night for the half-price cocktail night and we just had to leave a good review for a bar tender that served us there- Lexi. She was so quick compared to the other two bartenders and so funny and friendly- she made it a really great night. So thanks Lexi for helping us have such a great experience. Highly recommend

Block behind the bar with a bright beanie on Sunday 15th spent a good 20 minutes actively avoiding me because my friend rejected him a week before. That kind of fragile ego is embarrassing for everyone !!

Came for drinks on Saturday with the girlfriends. The staff were brilliant and really looked after us. The vibes were amazing and we had a fab time.

The food and the atmosphere are great.

Visited on Saturday night had to ask the bouncers to remove a man who was touching my friend not even five minutes later he was back on the dance floor. Later on got groped by a man eventually security removed him but no one said anything or checked on us. Management and staff clearly aware of what was going on No one said a thing, The place is full of seedy men looking for Vulnerable women. Avoid at all costs. Only good thing was the music.

Definitely worth a visit!

Came in on a Sunday evening with a friend, what a great pub! Such a great atmosphere, and despite what seemed like a busy night everyone behind the bar was very attentive. Will definitely be back for more spicy margs!

nice place, but it got insanely packed at around 1am, felt very uncomfortable. also the DJ had an annoying style where they would only play a song for 20-30 seconds before skipping to the next one. I would go again but definitely leave before it becomes too crowded

Meh. Many better bars in the area

I paid 6 pounds for a ticket and they wouldn't even let me in. Not because I was too drunk. Just because there were too many people. This place doesn't cater for anyone. Absolutely ridiculous. Also was surrounded by police the whole time. Had to sneak in 2hrs after I first tried.

Booked a 30 person section for a birthday (they OK’d the number! ) that turned out to be a (maximum) 5 person half booth, next to several much larger ones. Just gross dishonesty in a very busy room. Gross dishonesty that’s ruined the whole event

Fabulous Sunday Roast in a great pub setting.

Very disappointed, paid £10 for entry after a long days work and was refused service for apparently being too intoxicated. Was told to come back In 10 minutes for some unknown reason. Also wouldn’t let me buy a round so worked out cheap but was annoying service from bar staff. I wouldn’t recommend for large groups or party, it ruined the night and split the group up !

Very disappointing Sunday Roast. Gravy was watery and had no flavour, very stingy with the roast meats and they were cut in thin slices. I had to ask for salt to season everything. Service was ok, had to ask twice for water and it was difficult getting the servers attention to ask for salt. Go elsewhere for your roast.

The atmosphere was really nice. The service was also good. However, the Sunday roast had a lot more meat than I expected, so it was difficult to cut into pieces. But the Yorkshire pudding soaked in broth was delicious. This is also a risk that must be taken into account since it is a reasonable price.

Apparently supposed to be the best Roast in North London now I know why it's a comedy pub as they are joking meat was unedible veg raw roast potatoes like concrete blocks. I will send pic please save your money eat at a Toby carvery or elsewhere this place is a complete rip off. The food is so bad that I may have to get hygiene services involved there doesn't seem to be any proper taste test of food. Just look at the lamb fat with meat trim and photo looks yellow so you cannot see the food your eating

Great atmosphere -- both upstairs and down. Delicious roast -- I had the lamb -- and burgers. Good spicy bloody Mary's as well, which are not easy to come by in London.

Great pub! We visited late on a Thurs and the pub was buzzing with a nice vibe...packed, but not too busy, and excellent bar staff kept the bar wait to a minimum!

Booked a night out with our boxing club here at The Old Queens Head last Friday. What a cracking night. We had the Karaoke room booked for 2 hours and what a fabulous time we had. The staff were brilliant, they kept the drinks flowing and cold water also, cool our singing pipes. Was so much fun. We then finishing the night dancing to the djs set. All round, great evening. We’ll be back!

I absolutely LOVE this place. Came for karaoke which was so easy to use and a great selection of songs to choose from! I wanted to give a shoutout to the incredible service from the staff. In particular Craig, Rory and Gabi. Super friendly and Gabi was incredible helpful when she helped me fix my shoe which saved my night 😄 will defo be coming back.

The staff here were all very nice, accommodating, and friendly, especially as we’d shown up last minute for Sunday roast (a Sunday flexibility that’s rare in London). The roast itself was lovely and made all the better by the nice environment and first-class service!

Burgers, bath tubs of beer, And banging karaoke ! All in all the perfect Friday night. Staff are amazing extremely helpful and very well organised . Karaoke equipment is superb. And when you’re done singing your heart out, there’s always the upstairs dancefloor !! 5/5

I went here for a drink. It was absolutely overcrowded last night, it was impossible to breathe in the dancefloor upstairs.

Had a fabulous time in the karaoke room, great space and equipment - zero glitches! Also really enjoyed the DJ set on the second floor after our session ended. Vibe check 💯 🔥 Great food, super attentive and friendly staff :)
