Seven Stars in Guildford

A brilliant Sunday roast with plate full of lots of tenderly cooked vegetables to compliment the tasty and perfectly cooked beef. Puddings were amazing too! I couldn’t eat anything else for the rest of the day!

Best Pub Sunday lunch I’ve had in years. Fab team and fab place! Definitely would recommend. And near some lovely walking routes.

Just got back from having Sunday Roast. Food was lovely, I had the nut roast and our friends had the beef which they said was delicious too . Staff all very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back .. thank you

Our first visit since the refurbishment and it was very good. Varied menu with wide choice of dishes, including vegan and vegetarian. Reasonably priced, chef-prepared food served by lovely, friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

Warm welcome, cheerful staff, nothing a problem, adapted our meal exactly as we asked. Reasonable priced menu, quick service, what more can you ask for on a Saturday lunch.

Very nice food and staff. This was our local pub for 17 years so it was nostalgic to go there without the old owners propping up the bar but it hasn’t changed too much. Portions are massive - shame the light bites menu stops at 230 on a Saturday as this would have been perfect for some of us but we went at 4pm so that our dogs wouldn’t be too much of a disturbance. Everything was delicious. Service was good. Prices normal for Surrey.

Really lovely food, great service and nicely refurbished pub. However it was very cold in the pub!! Might be worth putting radiators or fire on when it’s not that warm outside!!

This was my third visit to the Seven Stars and as before impressed with the choice and quality of food as well as selection of wine. However it is the brilliant staff who make the meal such a great occasion and we will certainly be back again !!!

4 of us booked for Sunday lunch. 2 friends said their beef was a bit tough. My chicken was delicious and cooked perfectly. The gravy was wonderful. Very generous portions but we did make room for pudding. The crème brûlée was delicious and our friends said the same of the brownies.

First time visitors, amazing little pub tucked away just outside of Aylesbury. What a fantastic family-esque ambience! Super friendly staff, gorgeous and delicious food! Highly recommended!!!

The food, service etc were absolutely top-notch, but it is a very noisy space for a meal - we asked to move from the main restaurant -and the staff quickly found us a new table which was a bit better, but still noisy.

This was our first visit and it will not be our last.. From the moment we were greeted by Greg the experience was first class.. Great atmosphere, wonderful and at tentative service coupled with 5 star food. Kim & I recommend that you visit and experience just what we did :) Its the very best 'Gregs' we have been too :)

The restaurant was extremely busy so it was a long wait for our food to arrive. Otherwise a great place with wonderful food.

One of those places that as soon as you walk through the door. Lovely greeting, amazing food from the specials board. Fish Pie was excellent!! Busy for a Monday night which is always a good sign. Really nice place and will return soon

The pub has recently been refurbished and it was full which is great to see. It still very much felt like a pub and not a restaurant which we like and all of the food was fantastic. We all had Sunday roast which is as good as a home cooked one. One of our friends is vegetarian and she said the nut roast was brilliant too! All of the puddings again were great! Sadly I forgot to take pictures of the roast but it’s a must try! We will be returning again very soon!!

Such a lovely warm welcome in a cosy village pub. Staff were cheerful, helpful and attentive. Roast dinner was spot on, highly recommend along with the whit chocolate crème brûlée which was to die for. I will definitely be going back.

Another great meal at the Seven Stars, the staff as so helpful and friendly and its a huge credit to Steph that manages it. The food is high quality, with a good selection and tastes exceptional. We will go there more often.

2nd visit in a month, from stranger to regular

We had a wonderful time at the Seven Stars. We were taken straight to our table om arrival, and didnt have to wait very long before being able to give our orders for wine and food. Everything was served promptly. Our food was hot, great quality and very good value for money. We certainly would recommend this community owned Public House.

Delicious and varied menu (which now caters more imaginatively for vegetarians - making it a better option for us when we have a family outing). Warm and genuine service - the Seven Stars always makes their customers feel very welcome. The main restaurant is slightly cooler than comfortable but they combine a relaxed “pub” vibe with beautifully presented tables and decor. All in all, it is a great place to relax and linger over a meal with conversation. This was a really important occasion to us, due to recent bereavement, and I’m so glad we chose the Seven Stars.

First time here and it’s everything we expected. Busy as it was Christmas so service a little slower than ideal

Was welcomed by lovely, friendly staff and were very attentive. Only thing I would say is, the dinning area was a bit 'snug' and all tables were sat very close to each other. This said it didn't ruin the meal. The food was brilliant. There was a young farmers meeting whilst people were still eating, which did make the dining area very loud especially as they were not eating meals like the other guests and only drinking. Again, they can't turn away business but may have been nicer if they YFC were at the front of the pub. Apart from that, I would really recommend giving the Seven Stars a try

3 of us all enjoyed the different meals we had at lunchtime, they were hot, didn’t have to wait for long, presented beautifully and tasted good. As far as I recall all 3 plates were empty when cleared from the table.

The meal was booked for lunch time but the dining area was cold when we walked in and my wife felt it necessary to leave her coat on. The food was excellent but perhaps the service could have been a bit more welcoming with a smile.

We had a lovely evening. The atmosphere was perfect and the food excellent.

Great Sunday lunch for three of us. Melt in the mouth pork but could have done with more veg. Small room, low ceiling so quite noisy but it adds to the atmosphere. Steph is a fantastic host!

Excellent! Great food wine and ambience. I would particularly commend the head waitress, a French lady, who was very helpful. My partner doesn't eat shellfish and she arranged for her sea bass dish to have the shell fish removed, and my steak was the best I had had for a long time. Will definitely revisit if in the area again.

Divine Sunday lunch, served for every appetite from meat eaters to vegetarians. They coped admirably with a very busy restaurant and the service was quick, the food delicious and the ale exceptional. Lively, with families and dogs but if you don't mind that it's the best Sunday roast locally.

We were 4 and dinner was super as usual, if you have never been to The Seven Stars you are missing out on a beautiful village pub. Scotch eggs fabulous Whitebait beautiful Spicy prawn’s delicious Wendover Royal sausages well worth a try Venison bourguignon sublime Halloumi burger a great change from meat.

Made a return visit now that the new owners have taken over from interim management for Sunday lunch. I would recommend regulars and locals to return and give them a chance. We had a very nice Sunday roast today. Good quality food, piping hot and excellent service.

Attractive pub and friendly staff but food a little disappointing. Couldn’t detect wild mushrooms in the curry and Eton Mess far too much cream and very little fruit.

I understand the pub is under new management and I'd like to commend the new owner on what he's done so far. I had to delay our arrival slightly but the staff were extremely accommodating about it. The roasts that we had - 3 different ones - were fantastic and served with a huge selection of perfectly cooked veg. The waitresses were efficient and friendly and regularly checked that we were ok. All the staff we came into contact with were genuinely friendly and helpful. My party commented on how much they'd enjoyed the experience. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Considering that it was a Monday lunchtime and we were one of only three tables being used (six people), to have the full standard menu plus two specials boards seemed excess. As seasoned diners this does not bode well for fresh produce (the staff and owners could have large appetites). It didn't need specials, although the prices for modest meals possibly offset the waste.

Excellent food, good choice and 3xcellent service. I would certainly recommend The Seven Stars.
