Nice traditional English pub decked out in Halloween gear in great location. Very friendly and happy barmaid, which is unusual these days. Most bar staff are so miserable and ruin the atmosphere, so well done to you!

This is one of Guildford's gems in a town that has lost so many proper pubs over recent years, the Three Pigeons remains with all the charm of of its original features. A cosy local with fab food, attentive,fun and friendly staff it's sure to satisfy. As a Guinness drinker, fussy about my pint being pulled right I was more than happy that staff were clearly well trained. If you like a proper local, cosy atmosphere, period quirkiness,good beer,great food and happy staff you can't go wrong with a visit to this pub.

17th century pub, nice atmosphere, good food and prices. Only criticism is no access for disabled customers for upstairs dining area or toilets on ground floor. I did mention this to staff and they were apologetic about it, but a major rebuild of the historic pub would be required.

2 key things for the rating. We popped in for a start of evening pint and one of our group was treated poorly. He had gone to play the fruit machine whilst waiting for his pint to be pored. A member of staff left the bar to tell him “You have to buy something to play the machine” trying to embarrass a paying customer isn’t the greatest way to start. We ordered 4 different pints of beer and each one was terrible. Flat, chemical tasting and unpleasant. We left all 4 drinks and walked out.

We always make a trip to the Three Pigeons when we are in town, and it never disappoints. The food is lush, the prices reasonable and the staff warm and welcoming. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely little tavern style pub. Wide range of Larger, Ale, Ciders, spirits and soft drinks. The menu is extensive and fairly priced. There are meal deals with a drink which is great value for money. The staff were extremely welcoming, polite and quick to ensure your service was first class. The food was very tasty and hot when served. There is seating up stairs and down. I can't comment on the upstairs area but, the downstairs is a little dark but it adds to the old tavern style pub. Million dollar question, would I go back and do I recommend? Yes and yes. I will deffo visit again should I revisit Guildford. Thank you Three Pigeons team, first class service.

We only went in for some beers but the staff were friendly, the beer was good and it had a nice atmosphere. It's a good pub with a good amount of seating.

Lunch and a pint a delightful treat right on the High Street.

I was meeting a friend from up north, so looking at the menu we thought we would give here a go. We then found a quiz there as well so thought we would try it. The food was nice, my ultimate tikka was missing the rice (to be fair, I didn’t give them the chance to fix as I noticed half way through my meal), the my forgot two sides but this was very quickly rectified. The staff are lovely, the quiz host was exceptional. We had the best time during this quiz. Haven't laughed that much in a long time, granted we came last but still! The niggle was online it states £1 but it’s £2 (because of a fun bonus game at the end) All in all, I would 100% return again, the quiz was very good and a great laugh. The regulars seemed friendly, the staff were lovely and a great time was had by all!

I was eating and everything was great. The service was fantastic, the tall guy who served us even tried to speak in Spanish and taught us how to say some phrases in English. The food was delicious... Some impressive burgers, and the mushrooms with cheese... To repeat!!! The great atmosphere, the decoration, cleanliness... It was a perfect experience!! Thanks a lot!!

We thought the food was good. It seemed like pretty standard pub food offerings, so nothing super special on the menu. The food came out hot and in a reasonable timeframe. I ordered the all day breakfast, but felt the bacon was a little weak when compared to other English breakfast fare I’ve had. If you are in the area, this would be a good place to stop in and visit.

Michael was amazing so welcoming as soon as me and my sister walked in hesistantly( as we hadn't been before) , he instantly greeted us with a smile and welcome.We had a great meal and two lovely gins of the day! We also got a friendly goodbye. Would 100% go back as the staff were so friendly - a real asset to the pub!

This is one of my faves in Guildford. It's the town's oldest (i think) pub and it's dripping with original features with modern quirks to bring it up to date. And that huge original bay window upstairs in beauty. The food is good and the crowd are local and friendly.

I like to go here with my coursemates after a long day. The staff are friendly and the food is fantastic.

This pub used to have a selection of interesting beers on the taps behind the bar, including one that was gluten free. Now its just the same old beers you get in every pub. Very disappointing.

Had a lovely Time at the three pigeons with My Sister and Best Friend, warm welcome on arrival, promptly served for drinks. Ordered three steak meals and they were lovely, really enjoyed it, great presentation to. Service was excellent would definitely go again if we visited Guildford again

Popped in here for a quick pub meal this evening and we weren't disappointed. The service was fantastic! Rupert was extremely attentive and couldn't do enough for us. The food was very tasty too. I would definitely recommend the lasagne. Certainly would visit again next time we are in Guildford. Thank you.

We came just for drinks, service was great and quick. Ended up ordering food as it looked amazing and it also tasted amazing.

I treated my daughter to a belated birthday lunch here after a shopping trip on a wet and miserable day. The pub was warm, and welcoming; the bar staff/waitress were friendly and a real credit to the pub. All components of our meal were perfectly cooked, garnished and presented well, reflecting a competent chef (particularly recommend the vegetarian tortellini, with a delicious rich tomato sauce). Our lovely visit was topped off by another customer buying us drinks for my daughter's birthday (it was his birthday too)! I will definitely return and will take my dog next time as they are welcome too!

Typical English pub lavishly decorated with a large collection of banknotes. A lot of beers to choose from, very tasty, very friendly service and a typical meal of hamburgers and English breakfast. I liked.

Very good pub to visit when in Guildford! We visited with a group from work and had the upstairs reserved. They had a really good selection of beers and the service was great! Although it looks quite small from the outside it feels bigger once inside. Nice decor and great pub. Would definitely recommend visiting!

Nice authentic boozer in the middle of a city rapidly losing them. That does mean that some of the clientele can get a little loud and heavy handed especially towards the end of the night without much intervention from the staff, but overall a cool place to have a few drinks. Good beer selection.

After a long, hard day of retail therapy in Guildford's rather hilly shopping district, what better way is there than to unwind with some tasty pub food and a drink? The Three Pigeons has a limited, but classic pub food menu, draws a nice crowd of laid back customers and shows the Six Nations tournament on the TVs dotted around the pub (big thumbs up from me). Service was swift, the food was simple, but well prepared, well presented and very tasty. Prices are comparable to similar venues, but the portion sizes are good. They only dropped a star because the upstairs bar was closed, forcing regular trips down the curved staircase to order food and drinks. Highly recommended. If only they could have carried all the shopping bags back to the car for me!

A pub that has stayed remarkably unchanged since I used to haunt the place in the 80's. Two floors, very good selection of real ales, craft beers and lagers. Friendly staff. Food was decent as well.

Love it here. Me and my work colleague normally always pop in after work on a Thursday and have some chips and a glass of wine. The staff are always so lovely in there and the food is great too. Always clean in there and such a good vibe.

Good range of beers and good pub food menu range. Attend at 7pm on a busy Saturday but received fast service at the bar each time. Food portions were bigger when expected and no issues with the food. Although clearly busy, the staff were friendly.

While our function was cut short due to a water issue in the area, the place was great. Good spread of pub food and an excellent selection of drinks. Special shoutout to our bartender, whose name started with an A(and I know she has cats), she did an excellent job of making sure all of us had a great evening.

Good value for money Fish and chips

First visit, ordered a breakfast and didn’t receive bacon. Second visit, order and pay for roast - get told “we don’t do roast”(?). Refund can only be given in cash like we are living in the 1900s. Safe to say there won’t be a third visit. EDIT: acceptable feedback from owner, but would like to see improvements made if food cannot be ordered e.g roast did not show as “out of stock” on My Pub app

This pub is defiantly the place to go. New team now managing it for Stonegate and nice to see both Stuart and Amy seen front of house to make sure it doesn't get to crowded and is still nice and comfortable. Great team of Duncan, Maddy and Abi as shift leaders, along with Milly, Grace and others (sorry do not know all your names - believe there was Richard and an Elizabeth). Great kitchen staff who are also regularly seen front of house, to make sure everyone is enjoying the food... varying menu but it is a shame the breakfast menu and roast Sunday lunch have gone. Varying choice of real ales and always open to suggestions.... my choice is Surrey Hills!. Great little spot to drink on the High Street and if you drink outside... literally on the High Street!

A very disappointing meal. It didn’t start well when several items on the menu were not available. Our starters were then brought out at the same time as our main courses. The server said we needed to specifically ask for the starters to come out first….?? The starters was frankly inedible. The mushroom bruschetta came on half a soft white, limp, long roll (not toasted), the mushrooms (I suspect out of a tin) were cold and the whole thing was covered something that was tasteless and totally unappealing white “stuff”! We sent the starters back. Our main course, burgers were fine but nothing special. As compensation the restaurant did not charge for our starters or first drinks. The staff however were very friendly and apologetic about our meal.

After going to see Level 42 on a Monday night , I was wandering around Guildford at 10.50 trying to find a pub and found the 3 Pigeons. Walked in to find out that it was open to 12. It gets 5 stars for just that! Well done the 3 Pigeons. Keeping British Pubs alive and it's quite nice too.

Become quite a regular spot of mine, the beer is always kept very well, I haven't eaten here yet but the food smells and looks delicious.

Lovely pub in the centre of guildford, serving good food. Has the classic olde English pub feel but with fresh ideas, wide range of the menu including veggie and vegan. Some modern touches like big TVs and air conditioning - air con was so good it was a bit cold at times. There was a large group in at the time so it was a bit loud. The food was good - fish pie had enough fish in it. Mash tasted like it had been reheated. Pie of the day and Hunters chicken were also good. Some nice ales and local produce available.

Good pub with pleasant staff and a modernised but still old world ambience. Nice selection of drinks and food. The new management has improved an already excellent package.

Have been a regular here at various times over the years - have to say, the warmth of the welcome from the whole team is the best in Guildford by far. The recent change of management has catapulted this pub into a must 'go to' on any Guildford visit or work downtime! You can't go wrong with the food, drinks or service - and the crew are always available for a good chat if needs be. All of the team, bar crew and kitchen team all make it work and it shows - they deserve a five a star rating!

This is traditional pub with proper beer, right in the middle of the town centre. The Thursday night quiz is a must-try.

Lunch here on 15/09/23. Good town centre pub. Usual pub favourites on the menu. Cheery staff, food served promptly, hot and well presented. Upstairs dining room is nice and airy, atmospheric with big old window. We had chicken tikka masala. Would visit again.

Came here to watch the first England match at the RWC. It was incredibly hot today so it was lovely to get into an air-conditioned pub. The pub is a lovely old pub with well kept beer. Always worth a visit especially after making it to the top of the high street hill. We were pleasantly surprised with how quiet it was. So we managed to get a table right in front of the TV. The food was good (had the chicken tikka), but they were missing a couple of items off of the menu which was a little disappointing as I was excited for the mixed grill.

went for an early eve drink. pleasant service large selection of ales. Sat upstairs which was nice as it was not very crowded at the time we visited. does get busy in the evenings though. all in all a nice atmosphere would recommend.

Well done to all the staff at the Three Pigeons - the restaurant manager was very efficient and professional but in fact everyone involved did a great job especially the hard working kitchen team. Thank you! The group of 30 received their correct food choices and the food was tasty and hot. The pub is excellent value for money and I would definitely consider returning in the future with another group.

The staff are incredible, the food is delicious, there is a great selection of drinks and they have been an amazing venue for the No Man's Sky meetup each year. I look forward to being there again next year or whenever I am back in the UK 😁

Only stopped in for a pint,maybe two next time

We had a lunch here, which was quite disappointing. Pie, but it was more a stew in a small bowl covered with a puff pastry than a real pie. Taste was like a casserole, very strong tomato flavour. Service was 5stars, very friendly lady. Overall it was not my favorite.
