Bill's restaurant and cafe in Guildford

The pancakes were amazing! Nick was very polite. Then the manager Greg, was soo happy.

I have been a Bill’s customer, and have loved their food for many years and been to many of them across the UK, but never been to the one in Guilford. This last weekend, whilst in Guilford, I was looking for somewhere to go for lunch and so Bill’s was the logical choice. The service was fantastic, and friendly, even if a little slow at times, the food however was a horrible disappointment. I ordered eggs florentine, something I have had before. What was served to me was disgraceful and not to what I have come to expect from a Bill’s. The hollandaise sauce was revolting, the mix of hollandaise and spinach is normal, but with avo sounded interesting but honestly does not work. It may have been okay if the sauce was better BUT this was quite horrible. If the “chef” cannot make a hollandaise, I suggest this person return to a reputable school to learn; hollandaise is a basic sauce, and every chef will know how to make it. I’m told from my other guests that the burgers were great, so might suggest just avoid anything with the hollandaise sauce.

Very unwelcoming when we walked in. Not very pleasant. Was told we may have to give our table up after an hour but the place was empty.

Love Bills! Go here a lot, always good service, food always nice. The manager is a very nice man very friendly person and very helpful, always love coming here.

Food was lovely and service was very quick Staff were super friendly and quick to seat us Payment was really easy as we scanned the qr code on the table Will definitely return when we’re in Guildford again I have atmosphere a 4 star as tables are very close in proximity which is a bit overwhelming and felt slightly claustrophobic

Went there for dinner with a friend, we had the set meals and the food was delicious. We were served by Millie and she was a delight!

Bills are coeliac accredited, so always a good chain restaurant when looking for somewhere to eat with gluten free options. The gluten free menu is still quite big and the food is always good. Pretty decent size meals too.

Great service and friendly staff, if going at the weekend, it's better to book in advance.

Had a great time, portions are very big! Be warned! Great gluten free selection and server was very good at asking the question if the gluten free was coeliac disease, gluten free or preference.

I had two meals there whilst staying in the adjoining hotel. The food was fresh and delicious, the staff attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

I was served by Greg who was incredibly friendly and fast. I received my food and drinks very quickly and my eggs Benedict was delicious!

We had a group booking for 18 people for lunch in a sunday. We had the downstairs dining area which is very charming with vaulted ceilings, in a very old part if the building that has a lot of history. Our server was Kathy and she went out of her way to be courteous and helpful. Despite the large booking food came out very quickly and the portion sizes were generous.

It was nice food as expected. The flat bread tasted a bit old ... hence the 4 star. Great speed service!

My friends and I visited Guildford Bills for a brunch catch up, after graduating and living in Guildford for 4 years! We have never had a bad experience at this Bills, super lovely staff and great food! Hanna was our server and was really friendly!

Always has a great atmosphere with a full GF menu too. Our waitress that evening was Evie who was friendly, attentive and made our dining experience so enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Cath and Davinia were especially accomadative, it was really busy and they ensured fast, kind service.

We had a comfy lush table by the window and loved the mix of traditional and modern breakfast/brunch options. Food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Food was delicious, we were on the breakfast menu. Table was a tiny 2 seater and struggled to even fit breakfast plates and drinks on it.

Visited on Sunday and received fabulous service from Davinia who served us making us feel very comfortable. Caesar salad 10/10

I only come to Bills when I'm having a particularly bad day and they never disappoint. The staff are personable, friendly, and hospitable. The vegan option are so delicious. And great cocktails! Always a treat to visit this tucked away gem. Thanks guys ☺️

We had a lovely waitress, who was friendly and attentive. (I believe her name was Louise) & checked in with us to see how our meal was. Really refreshing to receive good service. Our food came quite quickly, considering how busy it was.

Seated in what was like a kindergarten, noisy, kids yelling and waitress forgot our order. Dreadful experience which spoiled our day which we had looked forward to as the Angel hotel was where we got married 26 years ago … so sad 😞

We’ve been to Bills plenty of times before in other towns but this is the first one that’s made me want to leave a review. Kathy our server was lovely, just the right amount of attentive and leaving us to enjoy the food - thank you. We had little plates - crispy duck lettuce wraps, chicken dumplings (gyoza - sooo crispy, better than at Wagas and the chipotle sauce was amazing!) and a buttermilk chicken burger. All were gorgeous. We had zero complaints.

Really excellent staff service today. Helpfully explained different menu options and able to cope with a disabled walker and elderly customer without being patronising. Wonderful. Made our day. Thanks so much

Came for Sunday brunch with a friend. The food was fantastic and the drinks were amazing. I HIGHLY recommend the passion fruit martini. ❤️ The servers were attentive and very friendly, as well. I look forward to coming back again soon.

Great experience at Bills Guildford - pleasantly surprised at the vegan options available, all made better by the exceptional service provided by Ava-Louisa! She went above and beyond despite being new, would happily revisit again!

Visited at 18:00 on Saturday evening. Adults were very loud, and children from a separate party were squealing. The new waitress wasn't sure what draught beer was on offer, and she asked for assistance from a colleague. I selected one thinking it was draught, and it was bottled 330 ml We were placed on a table up against a wine cabinet with a trolley for glasses behind me, and I felt cramped, not an enjoyable experience. As a footnote, the food was totally acceptable.

so dissappointed. made reservations weeks ago and they decide to tell me on the friday afternoon, 2 days away from my reservation that they will be closing because of the football. I understand the football match is important for many but this was meant to be our anniversary dinner, first time alone since having our daughter and they completely just ruined it.

Had a lovely waitress carmen helping us and made us feel special celebrating my birthday really enjoyed the food and it was chatty as always in the restaurant thankyou to you all x

Popped into Bill's in Guildford for an early supper and had a very nice meal, both choosing the burgers and chips which were good but my request to leave out the onion and cook the bacon well was ignored, hence the lost star. The rosemary fries were absolutely delicious and I would go back just for those. Our waitress, Issy, was very welcoming and looked after us well
