Cosy Club Guildford in Guildford

This venue is very hit and miss imo. Latest visit was for a business meeting and 2 for 1 cocktails were welcome, but there was no atmosphere and drinks had to be ordered and collected from the bar.

Lovely little place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Good food and good service

This place seems fine to go to for a beer, wine or food with friends, but save your money if you want a cocktail with any degree of sophistication- their menu items are expensive considering their quality and the staff are not trained to deal with any adjustment to the recipes to account for different tastes.

Nice place , comfortable seating, clean with good lighting and colours. Food was okay but nothing special - not enough staff we waited ages for drinks and for our food to come. Also very expensive

Definitely the name says it all. The place is very cosy and ambient. Professional service. The food is not bad at all but not any special. Lovey place to be at, nice vibes.

We went for pre-dinner drinks in the bar area. It's a weird space with low seating, small dining tables and high table with stools. We ended up having 2 of us sinking into low armchairs and the other 2 on little pouffy stools. So no-one was really comfortable. No table service for drinks which is fine I guess but you end up waiting for ages at the bar because all the staff are serving drinks to the restaurant tables. So we had to stand waiting at the bar for 15 minutes to get an overpriced cocktail. I won't be going back.

Nice place, but shockingly slow service. Took 50mins to get drinks and over an hour to get food on a Saturday at 7:30pm. Chips undercooked and burnt burger. Disappointed, especially as not cheap at all.

Great venue for a brunch. However the classic breakfast was disappointing with everything other than the beans luke warm at best however those that had the dirty breakfast butty really enjoyed it. Great Glutten free and dairy free menu. Would come again but avoid the classic breakfast.

Ordered the Shakshuka and was very disappointed. Watery and bland, served with 1 small piece of bread. For a dish that is supposed to be rich and spiced it was extremely flavourless, price point did not match the meagre portion. Added and paid for feta (£2.25), of which about a teaspoon was sprinkled overtop. The most disappointing part was the watery base. This was more like tomato juice poached eggs, do not recommend.

Nice environment and friendly service. Enjoyed the Dirty Breakfast Bap however the smoothies are abysmal - zero value for money.

The cosy club which can take a thousand guests 😂. As big as the venue is, the way it is decorated really makes it cosy. You can come here in ones and twos or tens and twenties. We had breakfast and it was super tasty and had a lovely variety to choose from... Not just the run of the mill items. Staff were attentive and friendly. Lovely vibe.

A great venue for a brunch meeting.

We had chorizo breakfast which was excellent it was quite so no waiting at all huge place so probably good for an evening beer i would imagine

The burger meat was overcooked, and the bun was stale, this really ruined the burger. Such a shame as the rest of the ingredients are very tasty. We were expecting more for the price we paid.

Had a beautiful breakfast at the Cosy club with my partner! The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere was great. The restaurant has an old style to it, you could almost say it’s ’Cosy’. Haha Definitely recommend and will be coming back to try the lunch menu!

Wonderful little spot. We had a private room on the top floor, which had two dedicated servers for our large group. Had am assortment of appetizers, various entrees, and lots of alcohol. I had the burger, which was hearty and delicious.

Really nice setting, with great atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Food was good, nice variety in menu and fresh ingredients. Would highly recommend!

Popped in for drinks after dinner with my boyfriend and the bar staff were incredible. Super friendly & helpful. I explained that I was looking for an interesting shot, that my former go-to was always a baby Guinness but having gone vegan I couldn’t have them anymore. The gent behind the bar said to give him some time and he’d have a think. A few moments later, another gent came over to our table having made us two vegan versions of baby Guinness shots! Honestly made my night. So thoughtful and really going above and beyond - especially considering we were only in for a drink. A big thank you to the guys at the bar for that as - especially being a vegan - you don't often see staff at bars or restaurants going the extra mile for this sort of thing! We will 100% be back in the future!

Tasty food and interesting cocktails. Definitely a cosy vibe. The matcha margarita didn’t quite work for us (massive marg fans) but would be nice for those very into their matcha. Highly recommend the frozen passionfruit margarita. The p0rnstar martini was a bit sweet for my taste.

My husband and I visited for lunch on Sunday. We were seated straight away without a booking. The staff are really friendly and attentive. To eat, we got the Pulled Beef Croquettes, The Cosy Butcher's Brunch and Roasted Fillet of Salmon. Everything tasted amazing

Booked the Wonderland room for our wedding after-party. We were offered a good deal on this room, staff were very friendly and accommodating, nice choice of cocktails too. Many thanks for going out of your way to make this a special day for us!

Highly recommend this breakfast spot. Food was phenomenal alongside a speedy friendly team. We were lucky to be served by Rupert who’s hospitality skills were out of this world and also reflected the rest of the team who also made our stay something to remember

Went for cocktails at Cosy Club just after 7pm on a Thursday evening and discovered that till 8 two cocktails are £12.95 (Sun-Fri 4-8). Cocktails are about 11 to 13 pounds each. It is any two not two the same which some places specify. We had four delicious cocktails. Barman friendly and efficient. Decor pretty good but old worldy look takes time to look established so currently bit too shiny. To be expected quiet early evening on a week day.

Amazing gluten free range. My mum has a bad gluten allergy and there was an amazing range of options for her, including dessert. Lovely staff too.

We had a lovely meal at this restaurant. We chose it largely because it caters for people who need to eat gluten free. Our daughter has coeliac disease and it was so good to go here. They have a large gluten free menu and the manager came to take her order. He was great - really understanding and reassuring re: cross-contamination. It is so nice to find a restaurant that she feels safe eating in. And the food, drinks and relaxed vibe suited the rest of the gluten-eating members of the family. I wish more restaurants could be like Cosy Club! Thank you.

I am not going to spend too much time writing this review. The restaurant had no atmosphere. The food was very disappointing and it was very expensive for what we got. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Whilst the prep time is slightly longer then usual the food, waiting service and environment is very nice.

Great lunch with friends! Delicious food and great atmosphere albeit a little noisy, but understandable as it is first day of school holidays.

Firstly, staff are lovely. Nothing detrimental there. But. Sharing platters. Tiny. Those are GENUINELY just about enough for one. Tasted ok but overpriced and mis-sold. I had a chicken burger. Nice enough but WHY WHY WHY WHY do restaurants make 'slaw' with RAW ONIONS....... I can still taste them 4 hours later. ANY chef who knows his trade should be aware of the strength of raw onion. I don't mind paying for good food bit sadly I didn't feel I got value for money. Sorry guys.

First to start the service in the cosy club is next to none, very friendly and very quick service with pleasant drinks. For starters, or “sharing plater” as they put it were in no way “sharing”. I had the Pulled Pork Croquettes, the food was absolutely delicious but there were three tiny croquettes on the plate, and left myself expecting when the rest was going to arrive. For main, the Dirty Chicken Burger, I would personally dub it as the Mac and Cheese Bacon burger, as that was the majority of taste in your mouth, with the chicken rather being an after-thought once you’ve eaten it. I tried the chicken itself and it was very tasty but was over whelmed by the other flavours of the burger. The only other gripe being the chicken being a smidge bit tough on the outside. Once again, staff were amazing and very friendly.

Reserved quite late for a (admittedly well behaved) stag group and they were great. Good food, good drinks, good atmosphere.

Decent pub, seating is upstairs. Food was good and a must try salted caramel chocolate mousse for chocolate lovers. Portions are between small to average we ordered fried prawns and to our surprise only 3 prawns were served.

I was wandering randomly around Guildford when I stumbled into the Cosy Club. The atmosphere from the bottom of the stairs and all the way up is magical and cosy! Wood paneling and cool photos make this a place well worth hanging out in. They had a great gluten free menu which made ordering easy. I got the bacon salad and every bite was super delicious. My only criticism is that it felt a little small for the price. But overall I had a really wonderful experience and would be back again.

We had a lovely meal here, the cocktails were on 2 for £12.95 and tasted great, the food was served quickly (although it was quiet when we were there), and the waitress pheobe was really nice. the only shame was that our table was very close to the next one, and we felt like we were sat next to them

Delicious food, nice venue, and excellent service - great experience all round. Needed to move my booking at late notice and the staff were very happy to accommodate. There’s a good choice of options on the brunch menu and I was impressed by how delicious mine was (shakshuka plus the 3 berry pancakes). Staff were attentive, super polite, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we all had a good experience. They asked when we entered whether there was an occasion and, after mentioning that we were there to round off a stag weekend, they very kindly brought a complimentary glass of Prosecco for the stag. All in all 10/10, couldn’t ask for more and would gladly return.

Good place for drinks in a small group, along with a variety of comfy chairs, tables, sofas etc. Cocktails etc Can at times feel a bit empty and over fake with the decor but good clean standardised fun.

I was very surprised and disappointed not to be allowed to sit in the empty window seats for a glass of wine in the middle of the afternoon. Drinks only in the dingy dark area. Food in the window. Some flexibility required!!

Really unique setting. Food was lovely and our server was friendly and took the time to answer questions about the history of the place.

Went here for lunch and the service was amazing and food was so tasty. Great looking drinks and the interior was stunning felt like I had been transported back in time to an old 50s era pub , will definitely come back for some evening drinks and a whiskey!

Came here for lunch on my birthday last week. Loved the decor, really different with loads of random portrait paintings all over the walls. Staff were super friendly, welcoming and attentive, and the food is excellent. I had the buttermilk fried chicken which was very tasty and perfect in size for lunch- highly recommend. Cocktails are great too! Will definitely come back here for dinner in the future.

Food not the greatest but good service and atmos

Lewis was our server. He’s served me before and honestly he is one of the kindest workers ever. Even though there was a long wait, lewis assured us and was very efficent. This is a very nice place and will come again!!

Too busy. Food all in small portions and didn't taste great, took an hour to come. Waitress was great but couldn't help the slow kitchen. I'm not a greedy person but the main portions were ridiculous for the price

i had a lovely time here celebrating my 21st birthday! our waiter jeremiah was amazing, nothing was too much for him and his service was so friendly and made our experience even better. we were also given complimentary prosecco which was a really nice touch! would definitely recommend, and thank you again to jeremiah for a great service :)

I've been in many times on many occasions and this is my favourite branch of Cosy Club, and the only one I keep coming back to. The staff are lovely. Courtney looked after us really well when I was there a few weeks ago, checked on us frequently to make sure all was ok, always had a smile and was really keen to engage in conversation about what was on the menu and other things to do in the area once we decided it was time to head off.

Jeremiah gets 6 stars alone. This guy was one of the best servers I've had had. He was friendly, chatty, great sense of humour and read the table well. Brunch was delish as were the drinks and the atmosphere was cosy, relaxed and a really great vibes. Will definitely revisit.

Came in the other day was super quiet Eloise looked after us and was fab with my allergy, had my order taken by a manager, everything was very carefully done and staff were so polite and friendly absolutely love it ! Definitely recommend for anyone gluten free :)

I had the stack of American pancakes, oat matche latte and berry smoothie. I am quite fussy , but could not find fault with any of the food or drink. Zoned out from the conversation because I was in a coma of deliciousness! I didn’t find the environment cosy, it’s way too busy with paintings and lacks anything truly calming such as open fires or candles etc. However you are not going to care because the food is so nice.

Has an amazing time at the cosy club great service for my mums birthday they also have us a free bottle of drink to celebrate as well had amazing service by Anna in the Guildford restaurant only this was its was quite hard to see what i was eating as it was quite dark otherwise everything would have been 10/10

"Sorry, I, er... This is a restaurant, not a club... " "Daaaad..." Student Daughter No. 1 said. "I told you didn't I?" "I know, but it's called the Cosy Club. CLUB! And I've worn my tea cosy as per club rules..." "Take it off, Dad. And can I take off mine, as well...?" "But Mum knitted these tea-cosies..."

Slowest bar. You wait a week for a drink

We hired the Wonderland Private room for our 40th Wedding anniversary. It was the perfect venue, There were 16 of us for a sit down 3 course meal. The food was delicious. Lizzie was adorable and very attentive to our requirements. All in all 'a very enjoyable afternoon!'

Nice restaurant with good decor. The service was pleasant and the right amount of attention. Perhaps could have offered a side plate with the bread. The food was pretty good, clean balanced flavours. Lots of space if you have a big party.

We needed somewhere close to work to meet up for supper to celebrate a friends birthday. There is a lift up to the main floor and rest assured it does work despite being super slow, they have a little sign that warns you of this too. Good menu for gluten free, the chicken avocado and bacon salad is a must ! They also have a selection of dairy alternatives for hot drinks. A nice touch was the arrival of a glass of bubbly for the birthday girl. Helpful staff, great awareness of allergies and intolerances, I was checked at every stage of ordering. Parking in town is easy. Will be coming back again.

Have now been to the Cosy club twice for breakfast with a very good friend. Both times we have had the Butchers Brunch. It is extremely tasty and a good size breakie. The only ask i have can I have a mushroom options to replace the beans and maybe and extra slice of that toast. We will be back soon so through a mushroom or slice of black pudding in their please. The atmosphere here is wonderful. Tucked away in the Tunsgate Quarter, it's easy to miss, but it is worth a visit. Eloise was our server and made us feel so welcomed. Every request we made was granted, and they definitely added to our experience. The food here is the next level compared to other places I have visited. I would highly recommend a visit here if you are in Guildford. I would also recommend booking in advance if you can.

Had breakfast at Cosy Pub, really impressed with Jeremiah the happiest staff working there! It’s so good to see someone who truly loves what they do! They make the experience extra special! Definitely putting the establishment high on my list of revisits!

Had an amazing baby shower at Cosy Club Guildford on Saturday, the venue and staff were fantastic! We were let down by Bills who cancelled our group booking for the event, but the cosy club fitted us in last minute which saved the day! We booked the wonderland room which was fabulous, great decor and a wonderful space for our event. Shout out to our amazing bar tender Will who was on hand for the whole day and helped with everything from decorating and setting up the room, making great cocktails/mocktails and even helping us organise some of our games. We had a buffet menu and the food was excellent, including catering for dietary requirements. Can't wait to come again in the future!

We had a full English, when it arrived I said that I thought the portion size was a bit on the small side but the ingredients were exceptional and I was more than satisfied with the meal, service, price and location. Well done Cosy Club!

Ordered the full English breakfast at 11am and can only guess that we were served what was cooked at 9am - everything was cold except for the egg which they had to cook fresh. The bacon was a greyish brown colour and rock hard along with 1 mushroom - and was also a tiny portion so looks like it was also the leftovers - do not order ! for £11 it was a scandal

Cold and rock hard breakfast served at 11am so looks like we were served old leftovers kept under a poor heater. Only the egg was freshly cooked. I would suggest avoiding full breakfast for £11 unless you are there early!

As soon as the waiter took us to the dining area, I asked not to sit by the cutlery section as last time we had to eat our meal listening to them clanking whilst washing up. Instead we were sat by the kitchen door with it open. I asked the waitress who gave us the manus if we could not be in proximity to the kitchen, but they told us other sections were closed and they have to keep the door open to bring plates out. The noise from the kitchen was so loud it spoilt our evening. The waitress attitude was quite nonchalant and this demonstrated the difference between a restaurant and a chain. A shame as food we could not fault. Atmosphere ruined.

Absolutely lush venue as expected (I’ve been to a couple other sites). It’s definitely the staff that make it a great experience though. From the lady at the reception to the lady that served us, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The food was tasty, don’t know if I’m just being greedy or if it’s the giant plate it was served on but it didn't match expectations portion wise. But that’s a me thing. Would defo recommend this place

Very tasty pork belly from the Christmas menu. The sharing platter was great, and nice chocolate cheesecake but could be better presented. My experience at the cosy club was great , as me and my colegues went for Christmas Dinner.

Lovely atmosphere and fabulous food and service. Good menu choices and a lovely marmalade spritz drink to accompany.

This was a great find for my gluten intolerant friend, the front desk asked about any intolerances and selected the appropriate menus. Having the GF menu allowed for a much easier selection. Our waitress Noora interacted in a chatty and friendly but professional way. The food was good quality and reasonably priced. We will return to dine in a relaxed atmosphere when next shopping in Guildford.
