Came in for a special Easter treat with Mum,Dad and my daughter. Honestly the best fish n chips I have had in years. Stunning Gravy and lovely kind service from Maria. Highly Recommend especially the batter. Thanks for a lovely evening

Hit and miss but last 3 times definitely a miss chips way over cooked possible reused chips if you going charge the price you do it needs to a lot better would not serve it it to a dog manger should be checking what's going out as its rubbish save your money and go elsewhere.

Awful, never go again. Chips were nearly all bad as I had to cut off the ends which were black. Also they had definitely sat there for an age as they were so dry. We ordered haddock but I'm pretty sure it was cod and it was too much batter not enough fish. This was our first time here and I would never, ever, go again. Don't waste your money. A fish supper is not cheap these days. I hate wasting my money on poor food.

Take away delivery, disgusting. This place is so very hit and miss. Some days you get great fish and chips which are edible but today they were dreadful. Rotten old potatoes with burnt bits, the potato “eyes” were plentiful, my sausage mediocre at best and even the cat turned her nose up at the left over fish. Lately we’ve had more bad meals than good so I doubt that we will rush back to buy any more soon.

Fish cake. Dripping with oil and soggy. Very disappointed quality. Chip was fine

Phone Call to place order and was give time 10min so head straight on in, 30min later was still in the waiting had to rush them lol 3 people in the shop Joke

The fish and chips tasted like they had been cooked long before delivery in oil that was not very fresh.

Travel to many places for work around South East sorry a few chip shops on my way lol ... OK so just to confirm this ain't part of London is it ?...over 3 quid for a max 70p sausage ....really I'm from maidstone and these cheap sausages are £1.10 up my way £1.65 if you go a decent chippy with decent sausages. Batter was nice but thin and not very crispy Chips were ok .. a few tougher ones rather greasy. Tablets to order is a new one for a chippy so seems modern but 0 conversation and just passed food. With the 10% off for tablet order I paid £6.35 For a max £4 quid lunch

Visiting the area and happened to walk past, very glad we decided to eat here. Beautiful food, staff are very friendly. Would highly recommend!! When we're back in the area, we will be returning. Best haddock & chips I've had in a long time 💯 Thank you very much 👌

Over an hour late !! Great when it was delivered and also know it’s a busy evening

We travelled 300 miles to visit family who suggested we get a takeaway from this chip shop. We agreed as they said how good it was. We placed our order online, picked it up and when we got back and put the food on places, we found a piece of glass in amongst the chips. Absolutely disgusting that this was not picked up when it was being packaged up. This could have caused a serious injury. Would not recommend this chip shop to anyone.

Nice restaurant in nice location which I’d never been before .staff very polite and helpful . Ordered the fish and chip afternoon tea which came out nice and hot .lady asked us if we needed any thing else and any more help which we replied that we were fine . Food good value for money and was nice and tasty .thank for for a nice experience and we will b going back if we r ever in the area again .

cod and chips were very soggy by the time they got to us. barely eat the cod. chicken was nice and crispy though.

We have eaten here a few times before and it's generally poor quality food at a very expensive price. The size of the portions are small and often the food is barely warm. Today I ordered a fish bites and chips which was really expensive and as always it was just warm and the chips were cold and there was maybe a small cupful. I was served my food after 15 minutes while others who has paid after me got served before me. Watching the two staff during this 15 minutes was painful as there was no organisation or structure in the kitchen and it showed.

Popped in for Fish n Chips with an old Friend.. Sophie served us, and was very bubbly and attentive. The Large Cod n chips was very good, and both our plates were empty lol.

Staff friendly and helpful, particularly Tom. Excellent quality fish. I had rock. Some chips were tiny offcuts 10% discount if you use the touch screen in the shop to order but be fareful. You need to enter a discount code even though you are standing at the screen. BAD software design. Hake is available. A rare treat.

Decreasing quality of food. Chips used to be plump, now many are just gribbles. Fishcake was inedible so went out for the birds. Will not return as the dowhill experience has been consistent.

I was brought up near Skegness where fresh North Sea fish was always part of a great chip supper. Sampled my first Cod & Chips (with curry sauce) from Deep Blue last night and have to say they are the best fish and chips I have had for years. Light batter, chunky cod and very tasty chips. Going to make this a regular thing now. Thank you 🙏

One time part of the order was missing. They were proactive in responding to my complaint and refunded the missing item. Good to know that on the rare occasion something goes wrong they are keen to put things right.

We thought we would try takeaway again and give them the benefit of the doubt. Last time they missed one of the orders and charged us for it. This time we thought what could go wrong in getting a couple of portions of chips! Firstly, the portion of chips were very small for £3.59 each. Secondly the chips were so dry it seemed like they had been heated up from the night before. I definitely hadn't been cooked fresh. We definitely won't be returning.

We had a beautifully cooked lunch . The batter was so light with no stodgy under cooked batter . The service was very good very friendly. The restaurant was clean. All in all very satisfied and would recommend eating there .

Food was very expensive and not worth it at all. The beef burger was dripping in ketchup, battered sausages were burnt at the end, and the savaloy sausages were cold! Definitely won't be rushing to order from here again!!

Deep Blue in Oxted, Surrey is so hit and miss. Brought fish and chips this evening, and they were awful 😖. Chips were dry and brown. Just basically potato bits. Fish was dry and tasteless too. Obviously been kep tback from lunchtime. When money is so tight, and fish and chips are a treat, it's upsetting when you realise that you've just wasted your hard earned money. Will NEVER go back there again.

Ordered plaice but batter was very white hard and chewy and there seemed to be 2 layers the underneath layer white and soggy

Great experience at Deep blue fish bar, Oxted. The staff there are very friendly and polite, Food quality is very nice. Overall a very nice experience.

Ordering online before you arrive for it to be ready on arrival is definitely a selling point. Sarah is always there to serve with a smile. Only negative is that it’s rather expensive for F+C. Still go weekly though cause I’m worth it :)

Nabil always makes sure my glutenfree fish and chips are perfectly cooked, and in separate boxes, and Samantha serves with a smile. Honestly, my goto place when I need Haddock and Chips.

Absolutely fantastic chippy exactly what you expect , modern feel to the place but old school charm coming through with the taste of the food. No better place I would say . Glad I found this chippy while out at work. Curry sauce exactly how it should be just saying.

Onion rings are disgusting, I assume he he's the manager or supervisor is so rude he was talking about spitting in someone's food as they wanted a vegan option, then shouted at a staff member my order eventually came out and the woman was like oh u want salt 🧂 I said yes is that an issue she said salt and vinegar is easier. Twice this is an issue

Nice food, portion sizes a little small compared to Midland's ones. Main grievance is it is overpriced. Discount is available for using self service, but you need to enter a code, completely baffling why you need to do this other than to catch people out.

Although I was initially disappointed when I ordered deep fried haloumi burgers and found out it is not a fish, I was soon back to my old self on the news that it was infact a new type of cheese. On a separate note I was also informed by my lovely server Cassidy that fish are alive until they are caught and eaten. I had been told that fish have cold blood so its ok but now that I think about it all things in cold water have cold blood and you wouldn't eat your nephew while they have a paddle, LOL. I am a vegetarian so moving forward I think I will stop eating fish. Or anything that seems like its alive no matter what temperature its internal juices are. Back to the food guys. The cheese was amazing although it did not taste of fish so be warned if you do like the flavour of fish. I may return for the cheese but next time I will eat in so I can smell fish while I eat the cheese,they say you taste with your nose so maybe it will work as I am starting to miss eating fish after just a week. Honestly the cheese was so good and I would recommend it to anyone,although I will not be ordering one again because I have recently found out cheese is made from the milk of cows, GROSS. In all its been a rough week what with having to give up milk and fish, but I now have a new place to get chips, which were amazing btw. I had the cheesy ones and they were yummy, but it seems cheesy means with cheese so no more for me sadly. Look forward to visiting again. Given I won't be eating the fish or cheese I wonder if the staff might recommend a fish and cheese free alternative to fish or cheese, would be much appreciated. Also has a nice picture of a field where I am told the fish are taken to die as there is no water for them to breath in. Five stars

Wonderful food. I had a halloumi burger and I must say it was the best one I have had. We have been eating here for many years and never had any complaints. Staff are also very friendly, we were served by Sophie and she was very friendly.

AWFUL!! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would have. The most black, green chips I have ever experienced, just disgusting, the ones that were not manky tasted of nothing but grease. The fish was ok but certainly not worth the price they charge. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. There’s so much choice in Oxted that’s way way better

Lovely food but don’t expect your food to be ready at the time it says it will. They didn’t start cooking it until I arrived to collect it.

Having not gone in for ages thought we would try it , service girl polite but looked unhappy , if you can’t use the card machine you lose 10 percent . FOOD Battered sausages really tasty but chips were bits of bits looked like leftovers had eyes in most and were sweet an soggy unimpressed

One day it’s passable and then some days is not. Looks posh just don’t know why I punish myself every time. Today picked up large chips and small bites and chips and shocking. If chips are old, just don’t serve them what’s the point? Just peeved and now I’m four miles away driven away and seen this crap.

Whenever I visit my mum, who lives near Oxted, I always pop to Deep Blue and get fish and chips to eat back at her house. Always very good.

We had take away fish and chips, which was served up fresh and quickly. The bonus is that on Sundays and Mondays they can do gluten-free fish and chips, and when you have a coeliac in the fmaily this is essential. Nice pickeld eggs as well!

Sadly this delivery was 2 bags of chips with black spots on most of them and a small large cod which was oddly over cooked on the inside but barely golden on the out. Luckily they were 2 large bags of chips so we could pick out some good ones.

The cod was tastiest I've had in ages. Cooked fresh and the batter was delicious!
