Very friendly staffs and good food specially the jacket potato

The Sunrise Cafe is probably the best cafe in Ramsgate. A wonderfully clean establishment including the toilet and has very friendly helpful staff. The food is freshly made and cooked to perfection,and a good proportion of what you ordered is delivered to your table. You will not find a better environment to rest and enjoy a meal. The only downside if there is one , is no WiFi. As always the Sunrise cafe is as good as always,good food good service and a brilliant atmosphere. Without doubt,the Sunrise Cafe is probably the best cafe this side of Margate. So do yourself a favor and try it out. I've known the Sunrise Cafe for about twenty plus year's and it's just got better and better. It's the cleanest cafe in Thanet,spotless it is. Nothing is in the slightest way sticky or greasy,very impressive. The food is of the highest standard,and the staff brilliant. Ten out of ten.

Food was excellent and generous portions. The shop was very clean as was the toilet. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Time of visit around 3pm. 4/7/2024

People that run it are very nice and friendly, the cafe itself is very clean and tidy. If I have a criticism at all it's that they have 0nly one toilet.

Ramsgate is a beautiful place to visit, First impressions of the Sunrise Cafe was that of a typical British cafe which is why we chose to eat there. When ordering the lady taking the order really struggled to understand what I was ordering however we got there in the end and paid. My wife and my 2 children’s food arrived however mine still hadn’t arrived so my wife went up and asked where the last plate was only to be told that we didn’t order my breakfast which we told her we did as we literally pointed at it on the menu twice. People make mistakes and we would have been fine but she insisted that we didn’t order that breakfast which she still wouldn’t let go even as we sat after paying for the meal, my wife and kids were pretty much finished by the time my food came we heard a waitress ask what table the food was for only for the original lady to say loudly it’s that table who didn’t order. Now to the food- The food was that of a typical cafe which was nice apart from the hash browns that tasted as if they were fried in a cleaning solution so I would genuinely avoid them on your plate. My recommendation is that you make the lady repeat the order before you pay and to avoid the hash browns other than that it’s a nice place to eat.

Great cafe good food reasonable priced.

Good fast service, socially distanced seating with friendly customers. The food was reasonable value, I had a breakfast at £5.50, included 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, beans, chips and toast. Sausages were low meat but ok, bacon was thin and burned, the rest of it was acceptable and well presented.

.... Step right into the sunrise cafe, it is clean and bright. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the food is great. My husband and I each had a mega breakfast (£5.90) with extra mushrooms (£1.50) and it was delicious, nothing was too greasy, everything cooked properly, nothing to complain about, just a couple of niggles, it would be nice if there was a choice of white or brown bread, chips or hash browns, beans or tomatoes. That being said, however, it's a lovely breakfast, highly recommended

3 Bacon and egg rolls,the bread tasted like it had been frozen,then defrosted,and was quite tough and tasteless. The bacon filling tasted bland and watery,it was not a particularly memorable visit,unlike our previous one.

Went in with family for lunch, have been before and had lovely breakfasts! Waitress was rude and in a foul mood. Ordered an apple crumble and it came out looking like jelly! Looks so soft and unappetizing that my sister thought it was a piece of chicken! No crumble to it at all! When I complained and asked them to take it back the manager argued with me and was very rude! I asked for my money back and he told me he doesn't do refunds and that's how they came!!! Disgusting customer service, made us feel unconfortable and extremely rude! Working in a restaurant myself I was shocked to be treated the way I was! I told him to forget the £2.70 and left! Fab place as long as the waitress hasn't woke up in a bad mood and you don't complain about anything!

In Ramsgate visiting friends,and we went for lunch here. Good value cafe staples,sensible prices,quality and service. We had a tea and a coffee,and I had a Bacon and egg sandwich,my partner had sausage egg and chips. All good,and would go again when in the area.

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch after walking round Ramsgate and came across this small cafe . It was very popular s most of the outside tables were full. Inside, it was very busy. You order at the counter and wait at your table for the food. It was served hot and well cooked. The staff were very attentive and it was a pleasure to have a meal in there.

I went in this place for lunch as it seems to be a place for the locals.its a basic style of cafe but having said that they are very friendly and so was the locals.i had a cheese and onion baguette with mayo that was very nice with plenty of cheese.i would definitely go back here again as it’s very reasonable priced and a nice cafe with great locals.

Seated quickly and had great service. They made us exactly what we asked for and the food was good. A number of good choices on the menu. It was inexpensive. Had indoor and outdoor seating. Everything positive in this review.

I have been meaning to try this one for a long time and finally got round to it. I had the liver and bacon and was very surprised by the good quality liver, which was well cooked and accompanied by great tasting bacon, chips and peas. Great value at just over a fiver. My friend had a cheese omelette and salad - which was superb. This is not fine dining, but it is a great seaside café for breakfast and lunch (and brunch). Was very busy when we went, so there was a bit of a wait because everything seems to be cooked to order, but that makes it worth waiting for.

Popped into the sunrise again whilst visiting family. Had the Spanish omelette with salad really enjoyed the food one of the best cafe in ramsgate. Staff friendly and helpful will definitely be back next time I'm in ramsgate. And fantastic coffee.

It's really good value for Money

Been here a fer times now. It is fine for a quick cupper or a snack, but the meals are not that good. The food is lukewarm at best. I would not recommend this cafe. Go somewhere else for dinner.

A notice on the door says this café is no relation to others of the same name, which are maybe worse. I would rate the staff I saw nice, and they were coping with half the 50 seats full. A few are outside as seen in a photo. My photo dies not lie as the food is OK and edible but not mouth watering. Perhaps I should have read the menu on table and ordered spaghetti boulognaise instead of the chewy lamb chop, but the apple pie was liberally hidden by ice scream scoops. Quite handy for the bus stops and Wilso and seemed popular with all ages from 1 upwards.

Plus points: Spotlessly clean, nice decor, free range eggs and always friendly staff.Not so plus points: Sausages are the very cheap catering type, bacon so salty I couldnt eat it, lots of people smoking at the tables outside and the smoke just wafts in the always open door.

It was great to have cod cooked without the skin, something that often puts me off fish and chips. The chips were delicious too. My only criticism was that I couldn't drink the tea, it was too pale despite leaving the bag in for as long as possible. I do like a nice cup of tea with my fish and chips. Maybe serve it in a little pot with more than one good teabag, just a thought. Couldn't fault it otherwise. Very pleasant staff and great service

You ask for haddock plaice or cod but it's all the same fish!! Think it's wrong they lie pies are frozen then out in microwave apple pie is shop bought

This was recommended as one of the best places for fish & chips in Ramsgate. (And lemme tell ya', there are a LOT of fish & chips places in Ramsgate.) The restaurant was as good as expected. Excellent, flaky cod in a light, non-greasy batter served w/an ample portion of delicious chips. Very friendly manager makes you feel at home in an excellent location in the center of town. I'll be back often for sure!

If you looking for a great little place to have a fry-up, this cafe is super. It is reasonably priced at about £5 for a breakfast. It is immaculately clean and I find the staff really friendly. The guys always remember my order which is really nice, if slightly embarrassing.

£5.10 for a wonderful big breakfast with hash browns, egg, sausage, toast and really nice tomatoes and a mug of good tea. 10/10

Very popular cafe serving great value, delicious breakfast. Rapid service by cheerful staff. Cafe doesn't look anything out of the ordinary, but the staff and quality of the food and coffee make it stand out.

the knife and fork were at best look like thay had just been wiped on a cloth after use and not washed up as that was still food stuck on them. as for the food i had a cheese omelette and it looked like it had been thrown on the plate, over cooked, and i could not taste the cheese. as i am a cook by trade i know what i am talking about.

Both English and vegetarian breakfasts very good. Generous helpings, rapid service and a good price. Useful that it opens early. Sets you up for the day.

Got to be honest since the lovely welsh waitress has gone it's not the same. Sad to say it's a bit of a shambles. She made the place have a good atmosphere and my fellow cafe goers have also commented how much she is missed nit going so much anymore

We are on hoilday in Ramsgate with my family walking around looking for some were reasonable for my family to eat asked a few locals were is a good place and they told me the sunrise cafe. So we walked to this cafe when we arrived we were greeted by a very cheerful man behind the counter. Order food after waiting for 10min are food arrived fantastic full of flavour I had the homemade chicken curry fantastic my kids enjoyed there egg and chips. And my hubby had a mega brekky and loved it. So get yourself there if you go to ramsgate best place we have been back three days on the trot lovely staff.

I went to the cafe today with my 4 children had a really lovely meal food was great , the staff was very polite and friendly would definitely be going back again . The cheese and ham omelette was beautiful best I've ever had .

Best latte in ramsgate and reasonably price does the best omelet sever. Take my grandchildren there regular very helpful staff and friendly always clean and tidy wouldn't use anywhere else :)

The prawn baguette was dreadful eating it made me feel sick, the breakfasts they couldn't even get them right microwave was going off all the time food was cooked too quick ! Service was terrible I would advise do not bother going to this excuse of a cafe !!

Went there for breakfast with my family lovely friendly waitress rude obnoxious chef!!! The food was Ok when our order was right waitress kept apologising not her fault seems she has enough on her plate to deal with! !! What ever their paying her it's not enough to get barked at all the time!!! Think the management need to rethink their choice of chef rude and miserable looking!! Here on holiday visiting family and believe me I won't be recommending this cafe!

It's wasting money and time The sauce bottles are Heinz but different thing in it that's absolutely rubbish how they can use like that it's cheatingAnd the chef was terribly rude they don't know how to serve to people

I go to the cage several times a week and the food is always delicious and cooked well we always have a lovely waitress from Wales and nothing is too much trouble for her even though she's always busy she always takes the time to make sure we are ok she's worth her weight in gold and makes the cafe a lovely place to go!

We had breakfast and it was very good, quick service with a smile.the same people run the chippy opposite which is excellent.
