Absolutely lovely helpful people , had to stay longer due to my partner becoming ill and ending up in hospital and they couldnt do any more for me

Our waiter was very attentive and professional and also very kind as we had an old dog with us. He offered to get us water for my dog and at the end of the meal put our left over meat treats for our dog in a little bag. I wish everyone was as lovely as our waiter. Thank you

Great staff and lovely food. Had Sunday lunch today at 3pm. The last day of their 30% off voucher, so expected it to be a bit chaotic and hit n miss. But completely wrong. A lovely meet & greet, nice clean table and a lovely waiter. Our order was very quick and the food was really good. Al dente vegetables, nice presentation and a lot of food that was very tasty. Would definitely come back again. Plus they play really good music too! I'm an ex chef and did not expect this level of food and service on a very busy Sunday afternoon. Well done to all the staff. Respect!!

Excellent service excellent food

Had a lovely meal at a reasonable price. The waiter was attentive without being intrusive from the moment we arrived and until we left, made our visit more special.

Stayed at the Marston’s Inn across the road for 3 nights and went here for food 1 evening and one breakfast. Really nice pub, wonderful staff. Food however did not blow us away and the cooked breakfast didn’t impress me at all. Pretty much standard at most. Would also have appreciated some local beers as part of the selection at the pub.

Was excellent service. Was very busy but the waiters made us feel taken care of and everything arrived hot and correct.

Been here a few times, mainly at lunch when they do their 3 courses for £15. Fantastic value and quality is good although lacks a bit in taste, for example the Cajun chicken tastes only of chicken. Really good place to drop in for lunch, good portion size too. Staff brilliant. It's better than a 4, but not a 5. Update... someone's found the Cajun spice...been here lots since and the quality of the food is consistent...up from a 4 to a 5...well done guys...👍

We arrived late but was seated straight away, our waiter gave us time to decide our menue choices served our chosen drink very quickly, our meals didn't take too long and we thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Nothing was too much trouble which is really nice. So glad we went yesterday cheered us up to have such considerate service.

Booking was quick and easy, no waiting, lovely cooked food.

My fish had sharp bones in were I nearly choked and couldn’t believe the size of it for the expensive price and we had hair in our garlic bread and didn’t even receive a discount never again

The food is not the best in the world (a bit too oily, my omelette), but the place is extremely cosy, and the ambience is warm and friendly. The staff are polite and attentive. There is plenty of choice to pick up from. Dog friendly. Quite cheap, too. Definitely recommend them 👌 🌟

Fantastic service today and a very very nice roast turkey dinner. Was very impressed with the kids sausage amd mash too which is streets ahead of other kids meals out there. Please maintain that quality for the kids.

After being seated our server, Fern arrived to take our drinks and food order. We were greeted with a big booming smile and a lovely manner. I wanted to change something on my order and Fern came up with some alternatives, one of which I ordered. She was very professional and helpful throughout our lunch.

American on vacation visiting wife's family and we went here for lunch, warm atmosphere on a cold rainy day. Very clean and modern environment with attentive staff and great food. Wish it was warmer because the outside are is very inviting. Taylor was great and service with a smile.

Nice venue - clean, warm and cozy on a cold, wet day. Calamari had too much breading. Easy to share one for two people. Prawn cocktail was nice and right size. Highly recommend the signature burger - beef was delicious. Fish and chips were average but good. Lasagna was very tasty. Garlic bread was a ciabatte roll - better to serve as slices of baguette. Friendly, good service and nice timing between courses.

It was really really good. Greeted promptly and shown to a table. Clean and tidy. Served promptly and didn’t feel rushed. Food was really fantastic and served very hot which is appreciated. Good value for money.

I requested in my booking a table that could accomodate room for a pram as my grandson was visiting with his baby. Unfortunately, we were placed right next to the childrens play area which wouldnt normally be a problem but there were a group of children screaming constantly at the top of their voices so much so that we could not have a conversation due to not being able to hear each other speak. It was an absolute nightmare so much so that the guys on the next table asked to be moved!! The food was amazing and the service too but the whole experience was ruined due to the constant screaming. We are booked in for Christmas Day and sincerely hope we do not have the same experience.

Visited on a Sunday and had the roast which was very tasty hot and excellent portion.

We were seated quickly. The staff were friendly and took our drinks order straight away and left us with the menu. The food was served quickly and was very tasty. The cheese and bacon burger was excellent.

Great place to visit, friendly efficient and the food is so well prepared (when you ask for a steak to be medium rare… it actually comes to you medium rare!!) little things but makes a meal there count and you want to return. 👍

Found the place very enjoyable, and very busy for a Tuesday lunch time which is always a good sign of a business doing well. service was about right ,not rushed, and not too long to wait between courses either.Drinks were reasonable priced and the beer was good!! and well kept.

Go here every Friday for breakfast. £8.75 for a fry up. With that you can have as much tea, coffee, apple juice or orange juice you can drink. Toast with jam, Nutella or just butter, different cereals and again as much as you like. Croissants, Pain au chocolat or yoghurt that you can add some fruit to. Staff are friendly and always there to help if needed

My son & I had brilliant Roast Turkey Dinner with pigs in blankets, very enjoyable, great portions well worth the money too, staff was very polite and welcoming definitely be back again

The service was excellent, Heather provided exemplary service and was so kind and attentive. All the staff made such an effort and the vibe for a Saturday night was really good.

Food was delicious and arrived quickly especially given it was a busy Sunday afternoon. We had excellent service from Taylor who was friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely visit and would absolutely recommend it to others.

It's always pleasing when your expectations are exceeded. We had booked a table for four adults, one being my 93 year old mother. Whilst we waited a short while to be seated, once met, the service was polite, friendly and efficient. One of our wine choices was not available (Chardonnay) but a fitting alternative was recommended. Everyone was happy with their main course but I must make particular mention of the mixed grill. Sometimes the meat on offer in other restaurants can be either of a lower quality or over cooked but the lamb, steak, gammon and pork were all tender and succulent. Mum really enjoyed her salted caramel sundae although the hot chocolate with brandy seemed a little light on the brandy. However, we would happily book again following such a pleasant experience.

I often have breakfast at the Canterbury bell. Service is excellent from Rachel every time. Good value for money as the continental, coffee, tea and juices are included with your breakfast!

Had a really pleasant experience, food was quick and delicious- I had the steak americano and it was mouth wateringly good! I love that the food comes on hot plates too! Our waiter Cameron was delightful, nothing was too much trouble and had a smile on his face from start to finish, making our experience even better! Will definitely be back!

Food was brilliant and great service both across breakfast and dinner. I feel it's really reasonable and good value for money. I did find it was lacking from a cleaning and hygiene perspective. I would rather be seated at a table once the area has been cleaned rather than shown to the area and they are cleaning whilst you are sat there.

Yesterday we visited to celebrate my mum's birthday, I had booked the table 2 weeks previously and asked for table 18, given that amount of time I thought the table would be free, no one contacted us to say it wouldn't be. Anyway, we arrived and were shown elsewhere, when I said we did ask for table 18 if we could please be seated there, as the place was empty, apart from a lady sitting on her own at our table with just a drink. The waiter was so put out, anyway he checked it on his system and then moved us to this table, no apology. The lady happily moved as she wasnt worried where she sat for a fruit juice. We found the waiter appalling, rude and abrupt. He had very short hair, and had I think a scottish accent, unfortunately he did not wear a name badge so I did not catch his name. He left us at the table, no menus. He came back after about 6 or seven minutes, and said 'drinks' and that was it, so rude. We said what we wanted, and then he said 'food' honestly just one word comments, no please, no thank you. I said, well when we are given menus we will order, so menus were brought over and thrown over the table. I commented on how abrupt and down right rude his behaviour was. He walked away. We ordered and were served, the food was ok, although I must say a few hours afterwards I felt slightly sick after eating the sausages. The bill was brought, again no please or thank you, no smile, no eye contact. Just appalling service. And because of this we will not be returning. My mum who always leaves a tip, went to, but this awful waiter took the food payment, and then hurried away before she could give it. My mum called after him and was ignored, I said forget it I would not tip this awful man. He is representing this establishment and is rude, abrupt and should not be in this job.

My husband and I had breakfast at The Canterbury Bell this morning, very poor, bacon had been sitting and white fat visable set on the bacon, which was poor quality. The sausage poor quality, mushrooms and eggs poor quality, overall poor breakfast, I complained about the food as neither my husband or I ate it. Poor response from the chef, whom I suspect cooked the breakfast. A lot of customers left a lot of breakfast on their plates, which would indicate we are not alone in our view. I will not return

Went with family for Mother’s Day, food exceptional as well as service. Wouldn’t have expected it to be so good considering such a busy day. This establishment is well organised and staff are so friendly. The restaurant is always clean and there’s a lovely atmosphere. We will definately come again soon. Thank you for making our family meal a special one!!

We felt the service give by are server was very good indeed, I thought my mixed meat roast dinner was excellent. Especially the roasted carrots and parsnips. My partner was a little disappointed when you had no olive oil to go with her salad.

We had a wonderful anniversary lunch at the Canterbury Bell. Our meal was absolutely delicious & our dessert was to die for! Excellent service & our waiter Taylor was very friendly & checked with us that we were happy with our meal. This made our 42nd anniversary extra special!

Matu our host was genuinely kind and considerate, made the effort to keep us informed of our lunch being served, he even noted that I had run out of drink and asked if I wanted another, he checked everything was OK and kept our table clean and clear of dirty crockery he was very polite made our experience and enjoyable one. We are often in Broadstairs and from time to time we try various restaurants but this is our 'go to' restaurant more often that not. Not a very extensive menu but varied enough to suit most tastes. Very good service in a smart setting. Car park not huge but we have never had a problem parking.

My son had the bacon cheese burger and loved it. Our youngest had a plain burger, and it was overcooked. My wife had a lasagne, and that was mediocre at best, I had the chicken mushroom pie with mash, well what can I say about that. I honestly believe I could have done a better job with a frozen birdeye chicken and mushroom pie and frozen mash, as that is what I thought had been served. The gravy was tasteless, so it didn't help. Even the texture of the mash was like frozen mash. We were really disappointed as this is a meal out that isn't cheap. The staff were great, except the one who went to get the kids menu and never returned, fairly sure that was the manager. The atmosphere and character of the place are pleasant. Go for a drink, leave the food.

Came here late for a meal on a Wednesday night, we were served by such an amazing waiter called Taylor. He is such a delight to be served by! Was extremely polite and attentive at all the right times. Can't fault the service or food. Definitely recommend to friends and family

I can’t recommend the Canterbury Bell highly enough. The food has always been exceptional , the atmosphere and how it is inside is so nice and the staff are always friendly and helpful. James gets a personal mention as it is he, who on my recent visits with my parents, has looked after us so wonderfully and attentively. I look forward to eating there every time I come down from Staffordshire to see my parents.

Best burger I've ever had from a Marston chain, and our server Amy was friendly, helpful and very attentive to when we wanted more drinks.

George was our brilliant server this evening. He was very cheerful, made sure we had absolutely everything we needed and was very welcoming. We will definitely be returning in the future for more memorable evenings!

The waitress we had was brilliant, had lovely food. Never had a bad meal. The bar staff let the evening down. There was no change in the tills so ended up getting all 2pences. Nearly got given 2 dirty glasses til we pointed it out and not enough staff serving.

We’re moving into the area soon and will return for sure, burger was awesome and sea bass was delicious, all served by The very charming Heather, who was excellent!

Very good but just wished you still offered the Rotisserie Chicken.
