Got two breakfast barms and two teas. What a weird experience. The breakfast barn was meant to be a sausage, egg, hash brown, cheese and onion. The barm was dry. The sausage was a weird vegetarian spicy thing! I know the shop is halal but what? The cheese was a cheap cheese slice. I was so bemused and it wasn't nice. The tea was awful too. I was overcharged and had to point it out. There was noone in there and I'm not surprised.

Popped in before visiting the museum, very limited number of sandwiches although a nice setting and certainly ok if you just need a drink.

This place is really an experience! The decor is so elegant and beautiful, and ambience is nice, welcoming and comforting. The staff are seem really professional and the service was great. The menu is unbelievably amazing! I normally skim through menu’s but I actually wanted to take my time and read through this one. Lovely menu book. It’s in a nice location and I would highly recommend going. Prices are very reasonable in comparison to other desserts places.

Today we found door staff quite balshy. Definitely not friendly. We took our children to family birthday party. The door staff were insistent that they had to leave by 7.30pm. We were happy with that although it does seem a little early on a weekend. I ordered a drink at the bar at 7.10pm and even the bar staff reminded me that that our 2 children had to leave by 7.30pm.but I did already know this. The security then hovered around our table even though there were other children in the bar ,this was around 7.26. My children were being behaved so not sure why (we definitely felt unwelcome, maybe this place is just for the locals). It was our first and last visit I'm afraid. Money might by you refit but manners are free.

When it’s open it’s great! However, I’ve lost count the number of times we’ve come to visit the cafe and it’s been closed. Very disappointing and not a good way to manage a business. Given up going there now and it’s never open on a Saturday.

Excellent quality ingredients. We had a bacon roll and a sausage and bacon roll with an extra hash brown which we added on top on the roll. Crispy bacon, perfectly cooked sausage on a crusty roll. Have been back to the train station since just for this. Latte was ok too.

Had an afternoon tea for a 60th celebration at The Walled Garden. One of the best I've had yet. Staff were so lovely, welcoming and accommodating. They'd set out the ' conservatory' area, overlooking the garden which was so thoughtful. The food was freshly made as we arrived and it was delicious, right from the soup, croquettes, sandwiches, freshly baked (still warm) scones and cakes. Plus, as a bonus, the chef sent out a complimentary, celebration brownie for the birthday girl !!! A very special touch. Had a walk in the lovely grounds too. A very relaxing, calm and clean place. Thank you all at The Walled Garden! We're planning our next celebration to have there!!!
