Firstly we chose off the menu to then be told when ordering that part of the menu isn’t served on bank holidays although that is not stated on the page of the menu. We ordered steaks and both were full of fat and the 1 mushroom on both dishes was burnt. Definitely not worth the price.

Came here with my family for a breakfast and catch up after soo long. The morning staff were very rude and unhelpful. Kat you need to work on your people skills.

A memorable lunch at the Anderton Arms Fulwood due to Samantha who went out of her way to try to order an omelette (not on the menu) for my friend who had recently had a stomach operation. The chefs, James and Tracy cooked her a delicious omelette. Samantha was friendly and a pleasure to meet. Also our food was delicious. What a lovely pub to visit with such a happy relaxed atmosphere.

Came in on a Saturday night for a few drinks while the mother in law was visiting. Great atmosphere, and Sam and Cat behind the bar were spot on. Everything seemed to be done with a smile and the general service was great. I’ll be visiting again.

Hubby and myself had a meal here this evening and wow not disappointed at all. Food was amazing, I had Tandoori skewers and he had mixed grill and his was loaded, said it is one of the best he has ever had. Staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you 😊

I have been here a couple of times an each time I can't say I enjoyed the food my friend also with me didn't enjoy there meal either the chicken was tastless the dessert was OK but the plate it came was cold would have been better if it had been warmed a bit

Family meal on a Monday night, service was amazing from Tom and cat, both very chatty and friendly. Food was amazing from the very reasonably priced set menu. Will be back again!

Had a lovely meal here. Great service as always (bar person had lots of patience, and a sense of humour, despite the card machine playing silly buggers). Nice to sit in the sunshine and enjoy. Dog friendly, too.

Family birthday, all went very well

Mrs H and I had our dinner here which was excellent value for money and was excellent to eat in comfortable surroundings. Mrs H enjoyed her cocktails with us both having the Tomato and Basil soup to start with which was accompanied with a hot crusty roll and butter. For mains Mrs H had the fish and chips with tartar sauce and I had sausages and mash with cauliflower cheese sauce, green beans and Mrs H's mushy peas (we shared the vegetables for those who think I will eat everything in site) as well as sliced bread and butter with the fish and chips. I drank a large latte which did not leave any room for dessert, but the service was excellent with down to earth friendly people who timed the courses very well even though the establishment was fairly busy on our arrival. We'll definitely return and recommend.

Prawn in breadcrumbs starter - the driest and most tasteless dish I've ever had in my life! All the tables and menus were wet from drinks. Place seems to revolve around the staff just socialising with the regulars.

A very large pub with an adjacent free car park. Food was good with options other than fried to within an inch of its life typical pub food. A very large selection of beers and real ales. Lots of TV screens so very good for watching sports.

Had the best birthday for mum! It was her 70th so we had a lovely family gathering- tables all set together for us , food arrived promptly and all together (14 people), service was amazing - Sunday 2nd June! Plates cleared promptly and allowed us to do the birthday cake , the whole pub sang to be fair! Then topped off with Eton mess and chocolate brownies!!! What more can I ask ! Thank you!

Had 2 main meals, 2 burgers asked for allergy changes, but still came as original. Service was appalling due to ordering drinks off the app and not even receiving them. took 50 minutes to receive these. the two burgers come out cold and no compensation was given or offered. awful experience seeing as i work under the mitchell & butlers company.

We only had a drink but we have had a meal there on a few occasions and never been disappointed

Traveling up the M6 on a Friday afternoon, we didn't fancy service station food so found here instead for our dinner. Really close to the M6. Really quick service so we were on the road again in good time. The food was lovely and service was perfect too.

New menu is excellent, proper skin on fries! Rhianna and Kat served us with beautiful smiles! Will definitely be back to try the tandoori chicken skewer!

As always, we enjoyed our visit to the Anderton Arms. Whether it is a visit for dinner or lunch or just for drink, there is always a pleasant atmosphere, genuine welcome and good service. The food is tasty and is well-presented. Staff are friendly, professional and keen to please. One member of staff in particular is so calm and cheerful (Abbie I think) that you can’t help but feel welcome and at ease. Great local pub that is a pleasure to visit.

We went to the anderton for a family meal x 15 on my son’s birthday, Andy was great at accommodating us at short notice and was the perfect host. Bailey,Conner and Tom really looked after us and all meals were great and as ordered, no issues. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning. Thank you all 👍

The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and welcoming and it was great value for money. The free mother day gin was a great touch and so we're the mothers day balloons.

The Assistant manager served us! He was jolly, while remaining professional. Guided us through the new menu (long time since we've eaten at an ember). I had the French dip and it was cooked beautifully, chips and beef dripping was hot and the burger still moist. My partner had the southern fried burger. She said it was 'really nice'. Atmosphere was buzzing, but not too rowdy considering it was quiz night. Think we have found our new 'go to' pub. Sorry Blackbull. Definitely good value for money, amazing service, can say anything bad!

Often come here, such a lovely calm atmosphere specially in winter when they have their log fires burning! Abby is a delight and Andii has the cutest behind I have seen in a very long time. It’s always a pleasure when he is on duty.

3 friends enjoyed a lovely lunch The place was buzzing & after we had eaten I can see why. I ordered chicken, bacon & avocado salad which was delicious. My friends had chicken ciabata and prawn ciabata of which they devoured every mouth full. Staff were friendly, professional and efficient. All in all we had a lovely lunch in pleasant surroundings. Would definitely recommend

Customer Service and booking management . I pre-booked a table a few days ahead and also confirmed by phone on the day that I had a table booked for 18:00 that day but still had no call to advise the kitchen had been shutdown at 17:00 that day. So we turned up, brought some drinks and were then advised when I went to order the food that the kitchen is closed. Absolutely disappointed !!

All 3 courses from the festive menu were delicious. Service was great and staff were all lovely and super friendly. We will definitely pop back in for another visit at some point soon 😊 The only thing was my daughter not being happy that they had run out of her starter even though we had put in a pre-order. She even tried to make me knock off 2 stars, so much was her disappointment 😆

Popped in to our regular for a drink and was greeted by a dirty sticky bar. Every table that wasn't in use had empty cups and dirty plates. We ended up having to stand at the bar as no one was clearing the tables and it looked like lack of staff was the reason. I told the girl behind the bar 3 times what I wanted and she still had to ask again and then ruined my drink by filling the coke to the top. For a double spirted drink this ruined it. I feel like the pub has gone down hill lately and it is very upsetting as it is such a beautiful pub and walking distance from our house. Hopefully these things improve in the new year.

Not a bad thing to say how clean it is or the glasses smelling badly or the beer not tasting bad. Friendly staff. Not eaten here as it's not close to me. Fair pint though.

We booked a table and I phoned in the morning to see if we had to pre order the festive menu. They said no. We arrived on time at the pub and found our table but it was not in a very nice part of the pub and there was a draft. Closing the curtains on the dors that weren't being used would have helped. We asked to move and found an alternative table. We then tried to get drinks and as there were only 2 people behind the bar and the pub was full. It took a while. Then we chose from the festive menu and were told that we couldn't have it. I complained as I had phoned to clarify this. The young barman went to ask the manager who came and explained that they thought we were part of a walk in party of 16 people. We were then 'allowed' to have what we had chosen. The food came quickly and was delicious. No complaints there. The initial experience spoilt our night as we had decided to go to our local pub as a Christmas treat. Will think twice next year.

Decided to call in as they allowed dogs in. Had a nice pint & some great food. Staff were great and really made a fuss of the dog. Will definitely be going again.

Had a great time Here just popped in for 1 with mates ended up having great food and 5 pints the place was very busy with a great atmosphere inside !! The service was fantastic 1st class and really friendly and very fast considering the amount of people in here !! Defo go back as the beers and food were reasonably priced 👍👍

What a amazing meal at Anderton Arms we had today , service was amazing , superb atmosphere and the food arrived very quickly and it was yum ! Even the next table people were asking how was the curry bcoz you can smell it from his table 😅 £15 for a 3 course meal ?? 10/10 for me !

Absolutely terrible. Arrived tonight and the place was very full. No free tables. Stood by the bar for 10 mins awaiting for a table to come available. Staff behind the bar didn’t even ask if we would like a drink or told us when a table might become free. Gave up and walked out. Won’t be back

Great location with excellent food

Nice place, food average, service very slow. We waited almost an hour between starters and main course and it wasn't really overly busy. The food was a bit overpriced for what I got tbh but saying that I probably would go again.

When we looked at the menu we noticed the photo of a Sunday roast so we ordered that meal, on arrival of the meal it looked more like a carvery meal but better.

We must have been here 20+ times since we moved to the area and always have a fabulous experience. The staff are friendly, chatty and attentive and the food is grand. We have food allergies in our family and have never had an issue here! We popped in again for lunch this week and had scampi and chips (proper good old fashioned pub food) and chicken curry (good for gluten free if you ask them to omit the naan). Great as usual!

We had a wonderful lunch here today - servers Abbie and Rhiannon were both welcoming and professional, it is nice to come across people who obviously enjoy their work I think this enhances the experience for the customer tremendously. The food was fantastic - especially the dauphonoise potatoes - a favourite of mine and I know from personal experience how tricky they can be to get right - well Tom and Connor you have nailed this recipe - well done ! Just been for a meal with family and it was disappointing experience. Firstly there was no fish dishes available and then once we ordered our food, we had to wait over an hour for our food to arrive.

What can I say this team if staff put themselves out to make sure you are happy . The food was spot on the serloin steak was perfect . Presention of food really . Well done . I had to ask for all your names so you will be recognised Thank you Tom Kyle Josh Tan and Tom. Excellent service 👏 Well done

Great - It's dog friendly and parking is easy. Not great - slow meal service considering the pub was fairly quiet, tasteless chips and peas, the 'thick cut' gammon was thin and small. Very untidy bar area with glasses stacked high and cleanliness in gents toilet left a lot to be desired. I have been coming here for some years and the quality of the food in particular has certainly deteriorated.

A huge thanks to the chefs Bran, Tan and Kyle for delivering a fabulous Sunday meal from the new menu. We can highly recommend the beef rib and the Gammon roast dinners. Also many thanks to Tom Josh and Katie from behind the bar x x
