Our first visit after our own village pub had to close down. What a revelation and just like a proper pub should be - obviously due to Kev, the owner, and his team’s friendly expertise. Running a successful pub is not for amateurs these days. We took advantage of the Steak Night with excellent 8oz filet steaks, cooked rare to perfection, and a bottle of Rioja. The menu looks interesting with daily specials that we will try next time. Well done to the owners, you deserve your success.
Great find and the food was amazing. Really nice vibe and efficient guys running it. The food is prepared in front of you and it all smells superb. A good choice of vegan options and good value for money overall. I will definitely be back.
This was our second time dining at 263 and it was just as wonderful as the first. I had a family member visiting and the team had very kindly signed a menu as a little memento - what a great touch!
The food was once again incredible with a few changes from the menu on our previous visit - impossible to pick a single highlight but the salt aged beef was certainly the best I've ever had, and the black trompette madeleine instantly unlocked treasured childhood memories of freshly baked cakes - a perfect way to finish the meal.
The team were fantastic, a slick but personable service that shows their commitment to the craft. The Sommelier was able to flex her knowledge of wines by expertly helping us select a bottle for the table based on our tastes - never an easy task when there are three people, but it was the perfect accompaniment to the meal.
Overall just another brilliant experience from 263 and I'm already excited to return!
If you're looking for a pub with a lovely welcoming friendly staff, a great selection of beers and ales, tasty food with a menu that also caters for vegetarian and vegan diets, a great atmosphere, and many original features from its Victorian origin then you've come to the right place.
Whether you want to sit at the bar, play darts, listen to live music or sit in one of the separate rooms for a meal, a quiet pint by yourself, enjoy the beer garden, play tennis table and more, then this is definitely a pub for you.
Absolutely amazing place
When you think what this place was set up to provide and as a social enterprise for disabled people, the service and food is as good as any other cafe
If you use this eatery not only will you both enjoy the food but support a very worthwhile enterprise
Worth a visit good quality tasty food . A warm welcome and you're a genuinely valued customer. What a gem we found been going a while now and always made to feel that there's nothing to much trouble
Amazing, have ordered from here as a non-vegetarian and as a vegetarian and let me tell you something I’ve never been stuck for options. The food is always piping hot, cooked to perfection and hits all the right spots. 10/10
p.s. their veggie sausages are soooo good I literally thought they were real for a second xD
Absolutely amazing service and food! All family run and loads of vegan options too so everyone’s catered for. Very chatty and felt really welcomed. Lovely people and lovely service really couldn’t fault them. Keep up the amazing work will definitely see you soon :) ps the homemade soup is to die for😃
Covered Market, Preston, PR1 2LA, United Kingdom, England
we love Chacha's, it's our tradition that we always eat samosas there. We take every guest from abroad there and everyone praises the best samosas they've ever eaten. Everything is delicious. The service is very nice, the men always smiling advise what's good 👍
Market St, Preston, PR1 2EL, United Kingdom, England
Probably the best ready to eat food in the whole of Preston, including ALL the sit down restaurants & pubs ( & Possibly in Lancashire)
Way way way way better than Turtle Bay. The man can COOK!
Had half and half Beef, and Curried Goat with rice and peas. It was spectacular. Knee buckling spectacular. Seriously - if you discount the fact that it's a market stall, and comes in polystyrene containers for food quality on it's own is on a par with any top-class restaurant, let alone a take away. The fact that you can eat for a fiver makes the value for your money hard to calculate, it's just off the scale. There are Michelin starred restaurants that don't produce food as good as this. I know, cos i've eaten at them... Irie Irie Irie.
This is becoming a regular for us as we enjoy it so much. The food is varied, value for money and always a high standard. The staff are incredibly friendly and always have time for a chat with our son.
In the current climate with it's Covid standards and being such a huge open space, makes it feel incredibly safe as well.
A hidden gem that's well worth a visit.
