Excellent quality ingredients. We had a bacon roll and a sausage and bacon roll with an extra hash brown which we added on top on the roll. Crispy bacon, perfectly cooked sausage on a crusty roll. Have been back to the train station since just for this. Latte was ok too.

While waiting on our train from Liverpool to Edinburgh that was delayed for several hours, I got hungry for something warm and tasty. Since we were in a train station with lots of a couple of pieces of luggage, we knew we could not leave. Therefore, we were limited to what we could find at the Preston Station. I ventured across the West Cornwall Pastry Company. I opted for the big breakfast deal, which included a coffee, hash browns, and a Cumberland sausage roll. While it was fast food of sorts, I must say it was very tasty, absolutely filling, and something I would order again. When you gotta eat, you gotta eat. Doing so here was quite enjoyable.

Usual station pricing but quality is good and staff at every branch ive visited are knowledgeable on the products and friendly. Vegan wholemeal and curry pasties are nice and word from friends that the very wide and interesting range is also very good and worth the £4 price tag which taste wise are 1000 time better than a boxed sandwich that is the usual station offering.

20th Sept. the train was delayed, it was a wet and windy day and I was cold. I spotted the pasties, and joined the queue. The pasty of the day (Lamb and minted peas) seemed excellent value at £4 with a coffee thrown in. Result. The pasty was firm with crisp pastry and hot! Result! As I split the pasty, the smell of the minted peas gave promise; it was well filled and nice tender potatoes were mixed in with the lamb. As i bit into the pasty, this is where the love affair ended. it wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, but it was bland and apart from the mint in the peas, tasteless. I had to go back and get some brown sauce to get flavour. I finished it, as I was hungry, and should I find myself on the station again in a similar state, i will visit again and hopefully the next one will be a bit more flavoursome.

This was a second visit to here. The first time was lovely, hot tasty pasties. This time, unfortunately not so much, they were lukewarm at best. Yes I know it was late afternoon, but as far as I could see they are kept under heat lamps, which should keep them warmer. Yes we’d go again, but hope they are hot this time

Snow covered fields, roads, houses & train stations makes everyone late especially me on my way to work, now iv never been to Preston station & I never thought I would until jst yesterday when another blanket of snow covered everywhere, and I was detoured to Preston. Now to some serious talk I knew I wouldn’t be able to grab anything in work as it was gone 7am(my starting time). But what did grab me was the smell of a cooked breakfast which luckily was coming jst a short walk back over the bridge to platform 3 to a little hut with some seats & tables placed here & there, so after quickly glancing over the enticing food offers I asked the man serving for the bacon/sausage barm which looked big (but remember looks can be deceiving) for a reasonable £3.70 to which he asked would I like to upgrade to breakfast deal which was a hot drink & x2 hash browns for an extra 70p now In this cold winters weather it was an offer I couldn’t refuse & it was indeed “The Big Breakfast Deal” offer that I got for £4.45 with a large hot chocolate. But another surprise was while I was eating my barm I noticed that the sausage was not jst like a normal sausage it was a full Catherine&=x 3 pecs wheel sausage p. All I can say is, if you can go to Preston station as it looks great with all it’s old original features here & there plus fab food on the go.

Went here as part of a large coach party, they were very organised and provided waiter service. There was a choice of three starters/mains & puddings all of which looked lovely and my choices and those of my party were lovely. Good service all over.

Fantastic place for celebrate my mum's 80th birthday. Superb service matched the equally superb food. First time dining here and very pleasantly surprised. You wouldn't expect to to be where it is, or for it to be so lovely inside. Great choices on the menu and specials. Very tasty and well presented food. We will definitely be back!

I visited on October 31st and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant had a great balance of tables—plenty of open seating, yet still lively with other patrons. The environment was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the start. The food was delicious, with each dish showing quality ingredients and careful preparation. The flavors were delightful, and everything arrived at just the right temperature. The staff truly stood out for their politeness and attentiveness. They made sure our needs were met promptly without being intrusive, contributing to a seamless dining experience. Overall, a wonderful visit that I would highly recommend!

We visited the Leyland Lion with family and friends we've been a few times before and it's been great sadly on this visit it wasn't.The pub was very busy which is fine as it was a Friday afternoon. We needed a table that seated five but struggled to get one. After a few minutes we manged to find one however the table was still full of empty plates and food.I went to the bar and politely asked a female staff member could someone please come and clear and clean our table. At the time she was tapping away on a tablet I assume sorting out app orders. The look she gave me was awful she didn't even reply just nodded her head in what looked like annoyance that I'd interrupted her or even asked. She did come to clean the table but her face was now like thunder.Me and my wife thanked her and again got no response then all the while we were in the pub spending a lot of money she just scowled in our direction. This won't stop us visiting the pub in the future but staff need to learn to be polite. One more point is I understand it was busy but having worked a lot in pubs myself in the past there's nothing worse than saying to customers Who's next this just causes friction staff should be actually clocking who's next??..
