Been going here for years. Today, 11 of us were met by grumpy staff (not the young lady) and this was very disappointing. We had a 40% discount voucher but one of us paid without knowing. Manager refused to refund this. We will be taking our business elsewhere. Such a shame, it only takes one bad experience. We usually visit in an evening, perhaps different staff.

Second visit in the space of a week, as the first visit was just so good I had to return. Sat outside in the garden both times, lovely and calm surroundings where you can just sit and chill. Food was great both times aswell, but my absolute favourite was the huge selection of cakes and sweet treats on offer. The lemon and mascarpone cake was to die for. Can't wait to return, it's my new favourite place! 😍

Awful food - over cooked fish but undercooked thick chips. Bizarre southern fried chicken - meat was mainly a chicken leg and odd flavouring. Shame about the food quality - especially for the price. Would not eat here again. Waitress was friendly and provided a good level of service.

Este lugar es un baño absoluto. Alimentos... No comestible. Parrilla mixta pedida. . . Dijeron que no teníamos filete, pero que podíamos darle una salsa extra, en su lugar... Dije que lo olvidaras. Se alejó del bar... He echado otro vistazo al menú. . Pedido pollo gujons entrante y hamburguesa grande pila.

We stayed in room 7 cosy double which was lovely had everything we needed but what we didn't realise it was near the kitchen extractor fan which came back on before 8am as we are early risers didn't bother us too much but if you want a lie in could be a problem. Our evening meal was good but no check to see if everything was OK and long wait to ask if we wanted a dessert at this point we were passed it. Breakfast was excellent and the young lady that served us was lovely. The surrounding area is second to none and we would return

Popped in here with a friend for catch up. The food was lovely as ever. My friend’s salad was massive. The staff were very attentive

Went for dinner but found that there was a Wake going on at the pub. Reassured by bar staff that we weren’t in the way and it was business as usual. Ordered drinks and food at the bar before we realised that the wake attendees were getting more and more drunk; shouting, shrieking, banging the table, swearing and making everyone’s evening quite awful. We thought the manager, who was adding to the cacophony by regularly throwing wine bottles into a bin, would intervene, but it appeared his colleague was actually sitting with the loudest of the drunken mourners. The food arrived. Tepid, tasteless, expensive fish on a cold plate- Matching the temperature of the pub ( we kept our coats on) We ate and left as quickly as possible, never to return. I have told as many friends as I can to avoid this absolutely dreadful place.

Went for tea with our two young boys, the pizzas were OK and chips amd drinks are expensive for what you get. Nearly £70,for two pizzas, one chips, wine, Guinness and two soft drinks. The biggest negative is that they put £5,95 service charge without telling you. If they tell you up front we wouldn't have minded. Pity won't be going again

Food was ok, nothing special, some staff are fine, tall skinny guy with long hair behind the bar has an attitude though, what’s his problem? Does he not like his job because it comes across that way, not been since it’s been refurbished but won’t go out of my way to visit again soon
